Formula 1<\/a> is set for some huge changes in 2022. New regulations are set to see the cars become more competitive than ever, increasing the tension and racing action on track. But after the calendar carnage of the last couple of years, we will also get a racing schedule that looks closer to what we are used to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That includes the return to some favourite races, like the Singapore Grand Prix and the return of full capacity crowds a the Monaco Grand Prix. But there’ll be a few new locations to explore too. The highly-anticipated Miami Grand Prix will make its debut as F1 races twice in the United States. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top Formula 1 Grand Prix to watch in 2022<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Monaco<\/strong> Grand Prix<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Always a highlight of the motorsport season, the Monaco Grand Prix is the race most people think of when they imagine Formula 1. Hair-raising racing action through the famous Monte Carlo streets, passing a harbour full of yachts before parties running through the evening. And yes, Monaco does host the VIP event of any sport in the world, but it\u2019s also a bucket list event for any fan. With packed grandstands and unique general admission areas overlooking the circuit, it\u2019s a race a Formula 1 fan will need to undertake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, there is a change to the tradition. While racing used to take place from Thursday to Sunday, with a Friday break, next season it will follow a more typical schedule. This means Formula 1 practice sessions will take place on Friday, as you\u2019d expect with most Grands Prix. This is followed by the all-important qualifying session on Saturday, often touted as the most important qualification of the year due to the tight nature of the circuit hampering overtaking opportunities. Sunday\u2019s Grand Prix is a unique chance to see 20 Formula 1 cars speeding through the streets of the principality, and an unforgettable two hours of racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Singapore Grand Prix was the first-ever night race in Formula 1, and is another challenging street circuit. With searing temperatures in the cockpit, the longest race of the year and unrelenting laps through the challenging Marina Bay streets, it\u2019s a marvel to see the drivers and machines pushed to the limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the Singapore experience is about so much more than the action behind the wheel. Every year, organisers delight fans with the biggest acts in the world appearing in concert. Previous years have seen Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, Liam Gallagher and Queen perform post-race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can\u2019t wait to get back to Spa-Francorchamps. The 2021 race was a wash-out, but the weather has always been a key player at this incredible circuit. We\u2019ve seen snow in the summer, and rain at one end of the circuit and sun at the other. And with Belgium attracting Formula 1\u2019s most ardent fans, we\u2019re confident the Belgian Grand Prix will be back with a bang in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why? If the 2021 race proved anything, it\u2019s that anything can happen at Spa. George Russell managed to secure P2 in an unbelievable qualifying session by putting in a lap for the ages. With the new regulations set to bring the field closer together and improve overtaking, we could be in for more action than ever through the sensational Eau Rouge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dutch<\/strong> Grand Prix<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We knew Formula 1 returning to the Netherlands was going to be a big deal, but we weren\u2019t quite prepared for what Zandvoort delivered in 2021. With Max Verstappen flying high in the championship, the Dutch fans reached absolute fever pitch across the race weekend. Smoke flares, pumping techno and partying Dutchies were the order of the weekend, generating an atmosphere Formula 1 hasn\u2019t seen in years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The race returns in 2022, and with millions watching with envy from their sofas at home, it\u2019s bound to be a popular race for spectators. To make things a little easier, we\u2019ve secured ticket and hotel packages for fans, who can confidently book both a grandstand ticket and a hotel room in nearby Amsterdam for the whole weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miami will host its first-ever Formula 1 Grand Prix<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Miami<\/strong> Grand Prix<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Formula 1 will be heading to the US twice next year, with the introduction of a new race in glamourous Miami. A new circuit has been carved out around the Miami Dolphins\u2019 Hard Rock Stadium, and we\u2019re expecting the city to go all out for the arrival of the fastest motorsport in the world to arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It could be billed as a modern Monaco, with VIPs sipping champagne at beach parties. But it\u2019ll be more accessible too, with Miami Gardens set for a festival of motorsport for everyone to enjoy. There\u2019s even been talk of creating a \u2018campus\u2019 atmosphere, and the possibility of viewing areas on the roof of the Hard Rock Stadium. Either way, it\u2019s bound to be a special weekend as Miami gets the first Grand Prix of its ten-year deal under its belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United States Grand Prix (Austin)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The other US-based race is the one we know and love. It\u2019s difficult to find someone who loves Formula 1 and doesn\u2019t enjoy heading to Austin. The racing is exceptional, the atmosphere is electrifying, and Austin comes to life when F1 comes into town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On track, the Circuit of the Americas is a track that brings the best of circuits from around the world together. Corners from Silverstone, the Red Bull Ring, Interlagos, Istanbul Park and Hockenheim are mimicked to create an epic course for racing. And with MotoGP, IndyCar and NASCAR all having raced at the track, it truly is becoming the heart of American motorsport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And off track, there\u2019s plenty to entertain the fans. In 2021, all ticketholders could enjoy free Billy Joel and Twentyone Pilots concerts, with pop-up stages hosting bands across the weekend. And deeper into Austin, bars are full of F1 fans with flowing music and drinks. With the race taking place towards the end of the year, it\u2019s a critical time in the F1 season, and could host a title-deciding race in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spa<\/strong>nish Grand Prix<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A fixture on the Formula One calendar since the early 1990s, the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit has produced many memorable moments throughout its history. From title rivals and teammates Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg taking each other out, Mike Hakkinen\u2019s last lap heartbreak losing the lead to Michael Schumacher, or Pastor Maldonado storming to victory, it\u2019s created history time and time again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021, the drivers and team will get the opportunity to test the new machines at Barcelona, taking the new regulation cars out for their inaugural spin. That will give the teams valuable data for the return to the track for the Spanish Grand Prix in the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For fans, testing offers an opportunity for some late winter sun, whilst the summer Grand Prix is a prime opportunity to get out into Barcelona and enjoy its beaches, cosmopolitan lifestyle and tapas on tap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abu Dhabi<\/strong> Grand Prix<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As ever, the season will conclude at Yas Marina with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In recent years, the title has been wrapped up a few races before we arrive in Abu Dhabi. But Nico Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton have each sewn up a championship at the final race at this track. With the racing set to be even more competitive in 2022, we could be crowning a brand new World Champion at the end of a fierce fight at this race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Away from the circuit, Abu Dhabi offers thrill-seeking fans the closest experience to being in a F1 car. Ferrari World showcases some of the world\u2019s fastest rollercoasters, hair-raising rides and ferocious Ferraris for fans to experience the thrill of speed and acceleration close to that of a Formula 1 car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
