Amazing experience

We went for the full weekend and it could not be more amazing. If there is one grand prix to attend this is the one.

Amazing atmosphere

We loved the buzz around Monaco on the racing day. There was a lot of people but things were very well organized. There was a long wait for the train. It would have been nice if we had had some information for how long the queue would take for the train because there was a massive amount of people around. Our view from Z1 was very good. Just would have been nice to have some screens around to see the results and situation in general. Now ended up searching the information on the internet.

Although parts of Z1 have obscured views due to trees we had a wonderful front line view of the track also over looking the harbour, it was really good value for money

Comments

Better signage directing to viewing areas by Grand Prix organisers and restrictions on cafes inflating prices for Grand Prix weekend. 11.60 Euros for two coffees is unacceptable and shows Monaco in a poor light.

Dont go here (Z1) unless you get there very early.

Monaco is a great place to go for a weekend especially on the grand prix weekend. Having done most of the European races I would say this isnt a good one in terms of viewing, but we knew that would be the case. Dont bother going to general admission areas as you see nothing! Z1 is stands that are 2 tier. They are full very early. On the Sat we sat up and the hill which was probably better but a bit far away. We stayed in Nice and travelled by train whch was cheap and easy.

First trip to Monaco

Could give more details about facilities required. This was our first Grand Prix and we're not as prepared as could have been with more information provided. We were in Le Rocher but thought this was a grassy area so did not know about viewing from the roadway or the elevated standing provided. Did not spoil our race day as we obtained good views but a bit more info would not have gone amiss

Fantastic Weekend

Firstly the service from BookF1 was as usual faultless. We stayed in Nice and travelled in and out by train which on all days was extremely efficient and well organised. We were in different areas for each of the days. For the Thursday we watched from stands N,O and P which gave an excellent view of the swimming pool complex but not a lot more. There was a video screen in easy view and the race commentary over the speaker system was extremely clear. The added bonus was we were in the middle of the marina with the gin palaces parked up behind so you can have a look how the other half live and maybe spot a few well known faces. On the Saturday we took on The Rock (Secteur Rocher). This was something else. You can probably the best overall view of the circuit but you need to appreciate it is a rock strewn hillside with bushes and tree's on it. It seemed that almost anything went and that if you had marked out your patch on Thursday it was yours for the weekend. Some people obviously were regulars and had even built their own little covered stand. If I was going here again I would take a trowel to dig out a flat area to sit in and a pair of secuteers to prune any foliage that obstructed my view. All in all I would say the Rocher patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves a lot. For Race Day we went to Z1. There was a two tier wooden terrace right along the length of the area so there was no need to look at the back of peoples heads or push to get a view. We were right at tabac so had a good view of this corner and the entrance into the first swimming pool corner but because of the tree's we had no view of the video screen on the hill. There are ample cafe/restaurants in this area and the toilets are proper ones located in the access tunnel. For the Friday which is free we tried out both ends of K and A1 at St Devote. We also walked the track when it opened, which was pretty cool and showed how narrow it is. It makes you appreciate the skill and bravery of all the drivers. The free pit walk is free but in hindsight I would stay down the Marrusia/Caterham end of it, as the other end was a scrum due to the popularity of Red Bull, Ferrari ect and you could not see a lot down there. To surmise no stand gives any sort of overview of the track but this is more than made up for by the atmosphere and the proximity of the paying public to the event.

Monaco F1 Thursday 2013

Easy to access by train, though once at Nice the train was very busy. Thursday F1 practice a good session for the enthusiast.

MONACO GP

YOUVE GOT TO BE THERE TO ENJOY THE FULL ATMOSPHERE. THE Z1 GENERAL AD AREA IS GOOD FOR GETTING CLOSE UP TO THE CARS, THE SPEEDS ARE INCREDIBLE. EARPLUGS ARE A MUST. GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO AND FROM THE CIRCUIT. VERY BUSY EVERYWHERE. WE WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO COME IN BY TENDER FROM AZAMARA QUEST CRUISE SHIP. STRAIGHT INTO THE PORT WITH A 20 MINUTE WALK TO VIEWING AREA.

Wichtige Informationen

Children aged between 6 to 15 years old are entitled to free General Admission or Grandstand entrance on Thursday (a ticket is still required) and a 50% discount on ticket prices for the Saturday and Sunday. Please note that this is not applicable for hospitality packages.

The organisers ask that spectators do not bring children aged 5 and under because of the high noise levels. However, at parent's discretion, children aged 5 and under can enter grandstands free of charge without a ticket if they sit on a parent's lap.

Identification may be required on the day for child ticket entry.

Tickets für Menschen mit Behinderung (*Ermäẞigt)

A wheelchair-accessible area at the circuit is managed directly by l'Association monégasque des handicapés moteurs. Please contact us if you require more information. The association has advised they expect passes for this area to be available from January 2020.

Zusätzliche Informationen

All tickets for the Monaco Grand Prix are available for individual days (Thu, Sat or Sun) and grandstand tickets can also be bought as two-day (Sat-Sun) or three-day (Thu-Sat-Sun) packages. There is no Formula 1 track activity on Friday 22nd May and access to the venue is free.

Tribune L Low is located in rows A-D, Tribune O Low are rows A-J and Tribune T Low are rows A-M - all other rows in these stands are classified as High. Please be aware that views from lower rows are more likely to include safety fencing. Tribunes L High and T High have views into certain areas of the pits. Unlike previous years, Grandstand K is not split into High and Low rows. The organisers have advised this is due to the increased attractiveness of lower rows following improvements to the port.

Pit Walk

As in previous years, a pit walk will take place on Friday afternoon. This will be available for customers who have booked 2 or 3 day tickets in the same grandstand. These ticket holders will receive "pit access" tickets automatically with their tickets.

General Admission

The 'Le Rocher' General Admission area offers hillside viewing and the natural rough and in some places steep terrain may not suit all spectators. We recommend arriving early in Le Rocher to get the best viewing experience as the area can become very crowded particularly on Sunday.

Gold and Silver Packages

A limited number of Gold and Silver tickets are available in select grandstands and offer spectators access to privileged seating areas within their chosen grandstand. Fans that purchase Gold and Silver tickets as part of two-day (Sat-Sun) or three-day (Thu-Sat-Sun) packages will also be eligible for additional benefits, namely pit walk access and a piece of merchandise. Please click on each package to see what's included.
