Description

The Copse corner is a fast-right-hand corner that pushes the drivers to the limit. Following a short acceleration along the National Pit Straight, the drivers will break sharply into Copse Corner, before accelerating quickly towards the famous Maggots and Becketts section of this track. Copse C is on the exit of Copse Corner, so offers a fantastic view of the cars coming into the corner before heading off towards Maggots and Becketts.

Great 1st time experience

It was our 1st visit to Silverstone and live F1 race. Being totally honest , it was a great experience and most definitely something we will never forget and will try to come back next year to. The weather was good , food nice although pricy at times and race - top quality.

Best weekend of my life

From start to finish the atmosphere was overwelming!!!!. Much more reasonable prices that i expected re food and drink.. The facilities were well maintaned, my only complaint would be that alot of the staff who were there to help actually couldnt answer quite a few of my questions which suprised me. This didnt take anything away from overall experience though just made some things harder. Cant wait to go again next year!!!!!!!!!.

Inner Track

We purchased two inner track tickets for race day, we were at the track for the gates opening having left home at 4am, all helpful Silverstone staff and when we arrived at the Coose tunnel a little early the staff were very considerate and we starting to walk through the track for a suitable viewing spot. Eventually sitting on a grass bank to the side of a hospitality area, a track steward spoke to us and asked us not to move down the bank any lower for safety reasons, we sat there for between one and a half maybe 2 hours watching the early races we were then approached and told we could not sit there it was a private hospitality area and we must move we asked what harm we would be doing sitting on a corner of grass and also why had they taken so long to move us as now the advantage of arriving early had been lost and we would now have to walk around and end up at the back of many fans We walked back to Copse from what I believe was Stowe/Vale area luckily at Copse a group of guys let us sit in with them and despite the very inconsiderate staff (dressed in black )in the hospitality tent we enjoyed our day. All other staff and volunteers were superb pity about a couple of job worths

Amazing weekend

My first visit to an F1 race, and loved every moment of it. It was scorching, but it was brilliant! We planned ahead, booked parking at a farm near the golf course and cycled in via the East entrance and then gate 8, no queue either day! Having the bikes in the track was a godsend, on Saturday we cycled the whole circuit, which would have been too far in the heat otherwise. Luckily we booked grandstand tickets so on Sat could site anywhere, enjoyed the pit straight for FP3 and Woodcote for qualifying. Our seats in Copse C for race day were perfect. Chosen as the cheapest covered stand we could find to protect from rain... it came into it's own to keep us out of that scorching sun. We had some great race action at Copse, and a 2 car crash right in front of us. All the staff and stewards were really helpful, there was never a queue for the ladies, which is usually unheard of. Yes there were queues for water, but that's just the extreme heat. Hugely well organised, but maybe because we avoided the extortionate car parks!

Amazing

A great weekend. Having never been to Silverstone we were not sure what to expect but it was an amazing experience and hope to go next year. There were lots of food outlets offering a good selection of food. The toilets were clean even at the end of the day. Every area around the track had toilets, food stalls and clothing stalls.

Family Friendly, Great Atmosphere

star

We visited silverstone this year, as my 6 year old was upset we left him at home to go to Spa last year, and we wanted his first year to be somewhere easier (that we could sail and drive to) I've not been in Silverstone since '06 ( then early 90's prior) and the difference in infrastructure is incredible. The effort that has gone into making this event family friendly is brilliant. Lots for the younger members of the family to do for all 3.5 days (most of it free of charge) and the staff were all superb. Friendly and chatty, everyone working there seemed to want to be involved. Now the most often heard complaint is the cost, and where I understand the cash is hard to gather up for a lot of people, (£200+ for a piece of paper seems expensive) it's 3.5 days of top international motorsport, with lots of alternative entertainment included. Make the effort to get the weekend there, enjoy everything it has to offer and it starts to look like superb value!

Hamilton effect

This meeting is getting busier each year which means more queues for everything especially on Sunday. But you are allowed to bring in your own food and drink and that is what a lot of people do. Note this year glass bottles were not allowed and bags were being searched. Given that they managed to get 120,000 people into and out of the circuit in 1 day I suppose that is understandable.

Fantastic family day out!

Took my two children (6&8) and my wife to Saturday's qualifying at Silverstone, it was their first ever GP experience - had a fantastic day, the event has really come on in terms of logistics (parking wasn't a painful experience either arriving or leaving), the organisation is very slick and when inside the venue, viewing was straightforward. In addition, the whole family zone area was a real bonus - there was so much to entertain the kids whilst the track was quiet, brilliant - thank you!

First experience of British GP

Have been to Spanish Grand prix for the last 3 years which has been brilliant. Took some persuading to go to Silverstone after hearing about excessive delays getting in and out of the circuit but had no issues at all. An extra 30 minutes to get home Sunday but can't complain about the organisation. Facilities and post racing entertainment add to ticket value. Plenty of food choice and own beer allowed (stopped in Spain!). Good to be able to sit in other stands Friday and Saturday as Copse C view sees limited action. Great result and will definitely go again.

What a Weekend

Well I don't know where to start. We arrived on Thursday at Whittlebury Camp Site to find a very well organised and laid out campsite on good level ground with water points, electric for those that had booked it, shower facilities and plenty of toilets. After setting up we set off for a tour of the grounds. It really is a great place to camp, we even had a walk to the track perimeter for a nosey and to see how long it would take us on Friday for practice. On Thursday evening we managed to get some great photos of some of the F1 drivers outside Whittlebury Hall Hotel which was definitely an added bonus. We were surprised to receive a free coffee and Danish on Friday morning when we headed out to Silverstone, in fact we managed to get this on all three morning which was lovely. The entertainment at Silverstone on Friday evening and at the after party on Sunday was superb we all enjoyed ourselves and were never short of a good view due to the television screens. The racing on all three days was great, being able to rove around the stands with having three day passes was wonderful, it gave us an opportunity to see which stands are the best in terms of what you want to see and even managed a seat in the start/finish grandstand for qualifying. Our seats for the race were in Copse C and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the race from there. The food at the track I thought was reasonably priced and excellent. We didn't have too much but what we did have was very fresh and tasty. No complaints there. Overall we can't fault the weekend and we hope to return if not next year then the year after and we will certainly be booking through BookF1 again. Thanks
