Fantastic atmosphere!

We went up on the Sunday for the F1 race and it was a very good day. The atmosphere was incredible and there was plenty of entertainment throughout the day, including th red arrow air show to mark the 70th anniversary of Silverstone. The commentary was great and the big screens available around the track were excellent in order to keep up with what was going on at all times. It was a very hot day but there were plenty of water taps around the venue to fill up bottles. This was really needed on the hottest day of the year. There was plenty of varieties of food to a Tor for our party. Cost was pricey but expected this. The park and ride was extremely helpful and ideal to park away from race venue itself. Procedure of this was simple and calm. The only negative part of my day (and many others who encountered the same problem as me) was the seating in the stands. The stands were metal and with gaps in between each row of seats; I sat down and my phone fell from my pocket, through the seating and all the way down to the stoney ground (about 40-59ft drop), which of course completely smashed my phone screen to pieces. By the end of the day the security man who helped retrieve my phone told me a further 8 people also dropped their phones through the stands also. I do think the seating is something that needs to be looked at, as it is obviously an issue for people dropping all sorts due to the massive gaps. Apart from that it was an excellent day would highly recommend and would go back next year.

Absolutely brilliant

The whole weekend was amazing. My only advice to people would be (and that is assuming the weather is the same in future years) is to make sure you bring the sun cream, wear loose fitting clothes and have plenty of fluids. There is not much shade at Sliverstone so it is very hard to keep out of the heat.

Brilliant

We are not far away from Northampton (Junction 7 - M5 ) but left early anyway They sign posts we well laid out and well directed, and easy to get in obviously as we left early so didn't have any issues. Passed Security with easy, so we had plenty of time to walk around and get the vibes for the day, every thing well laid out, plenty of places to eat and toilet facilities, and the entertainment before the actual race was brilliant, actual racing - well what can I say, the whole day was spot on, glad we were in the stand, due to the temperature. On departure, you always get the dog fight to get out but no great issue, all in all a fab day - will do it again

Fulfilling a long held wish to see a Grand prix and treating my daughter

We had a great weekend , the weather was good , the race was exciting and the organisation was spot on. The travel arrangements from Hinton were seamless and we had no hold ups whatsoever. Your company provided a excellent service from beginning to end and that was a view shared by everyone i spoke to at the event, who had booked through you.

Experience of a life time

This was a gift from my son for Father’s Day From start to finish it was just incredible. The parking , the journey from our hotel to the track was so organised on every day ,it made the experience a complete pleasure,, the staff at the track could not have been more helpful. And an added bonus (all our friends were saying you will miss the England match) no way the course put it on loads of big screens all around the track , it made the Saturday extra special Lewis on pole and an England win HEAVEN, The race day was something else with people from all over the world there supporting their drivers mind blowing, I have not come down from cloud nine. Anyone thinking of doing this do not hesitate . There is an amazing amount for the children to do all for free. Also in the Silverstone indorse area the coffe was only £2.00 a cup for a capachino. As for the race it was brilliant.even if Lewis did not win

Coach travel to and from venue

It was fairly expensive but it made getting to and from the Silverstone Circuit so easy and I would definitely use the coach service again. Left Nottingham at a reasonable hour and was home before 8pm with a chance to soak up the after race atmosphere as the coach didn't leave until after 6pm.

Hot, Crowded and Fun

star

Such a roasting hot weekend, especially Sunday. We were in the Silverstone Six hospitality area on Saturday and apart from a minor issue finding it we had a great day, great food, great staff and a brilliant view. It was also great to watch the England game on the suite TV too. Fantastic atmosphere. Sunday we were in the NpS stand, good view and seats and mercifully fully covered.. Entertaining race, despite Raikkonen taking out Hamilton at the start. Used the Park and Ride so no major issue getting in and out, so glad I didn’t try and drive. We”ll be back next year

Fantastic, definitely memorable

star

Went on Sunday for the race for my 50th birthday. The whole day was amazing, and very very well organised. I was particularly impressed at how tidy, clean and rubbish free the place was kept. Nothing was too far away, we were sat in a stand so behind there was toilets bars and eateries. All the staff made sure you got through the gates as quickly as possible, no feeling of queuing. Loved the lady who shouted welcome to Wimbledon!!! Funny as. Only a small critisism the bus driver from the sixfields parking area, and back didnt know the quickest route to the track. Too hot to be on a bus too long.

Silverstone July 2018

I was at Silverstone on July 8th for the British F1 Grand Prix to celebrate both their and my own 70th birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the day out. The facilities were excellent and the atmosphere was electric. Benefitting from excellent weather the whole experience was brilliant from the pre race entertainment to the magnificent Red Arrows display and the race itself. Whilst the result was not the one I would have liked the race was excellent and a day to remember. I should also add that using the Park and Ride facility at Hinton Airfield was a good choice. Easy to get to and takes out the hassle of driving in and out of Silverstone. A very satisfied spectator.

Great day at track but issues with park and ride

I would score 5 stars for the day itself but the score above of 2 stars poor is because of the issues with the park and ride. Firstly i had booked sixfields and on receiving the documentation it stated we must ignore GPS and directions were only from the M1. We live in Suffolk and came via the A14 and could nave got their much earlier and easier if the directions had been clearer. We also did not see any signs until around a mile from the parking - the signs could have been shown much earlier. Secondly on returning to the car park the bus driver did not know where he was going (asking a passenger directions!) dropped us in a different place with no explanation of where we were. This this seemed totally disorganised as we then had difficulties orientating and in finding the car from a different location. The park and ride facility need to get their act together and for the astronomic price they charge (more than £40 for 2 people) the service was diabolical!!

First time at venue great experiance

Great Venue, excellent choice of activities , and food choice with enough going on to keep you entertained all day, however could do with larger screens as was hard to see rankings

More access to Drivers.

I have two points i would like to raise. The first is that along the lines of what Ross Braun was saying about changes to F1. I would like to proposed that more access to drivers is given on Fri sat and sun. whilst i appreciate the drivers are very busy people and have a lot to do. Surely an alocatted slot of 1 hour Fri sat and sun to do an organised signing and photo much like Disney with the characters and other events I have attended. Organised cueing for all drivers with free fan access on a first come first serve basis. even if you limit it to 500 people a day. And witb an official photographer too so the official photo can be purchased. My second point is a complaint. This year was my 4th time attending at Silverstone and the second time the buses got it wrong. I understand they are hired in and sub contracted to the event but I was once again on a bus that went the wrong way and got lost. Trying to get to Turweston Airfield. This caused all personal on the bus to be on there for 1 hr 30 mins instead of 25 mins approx. The aircon on the bus was minimal at best and the temp 27 degrees. I have taken to questioning the driver to ensure he knows where he is going and still they get it wrong.

Another Great F1 Weekend

Roaming for two days is great, we managed to sit opposite Lewis Hamilton Garage for Qualifying and the atmosphere and enthusiasm from everyone was electrifying. Then on race day, Woodcote A didn't disappoint. Great view, just the chap behind was giving his girlfriend a running commentary on what was going to happen next and that the pit lane was a fab place they were sitting in! think he was bit wrong with that statement and I actually put my ear plugs in because of him not the noise of the cars. Otherwise fabulous time.

Fantastic weekend

star

A fantastic weekend who loves F1 the noise is not the same as on TV it just doesn't justify how these machines sound only when your there. I say you have to experience it least once the atmosphere and people there is unreal. Option of camping is great if want to experience another side or you could get a hotel close by, but book early for that. Only comment I could give is that it is a tad expensive for food etc so my advice is to take your own food and drink in. Be prepared for the whether as well it makes it more exciting when it rains but it is a better day when it's sunny.

Carry on Silverstone

Lovely race weekend. Started off with a bit of drizzle on the Saturday and it was freezing in the stands but fine when on terra firma! First time at Silverstone but loved it. Perhaps biased as I live in the UK. but it was a good race weekend. Very good choice of food and lots of F1 merchandise shops to get your kit and accessories. If there are downsides, its the expensive food and beverage and the time to get out of the carparks; 2 hours! It was ridiculous. I have driven to the Hungaro Ring, Yas Marina and Spa and they do a much better job than us in the UK. F1 sort out the traffic flows please! Sat in the National Straights stand and the views were fantastic coming through Luffield and Woodcote. Great weekend and will be going again if the race stays here.
