Brilliant Day Out

weather was fantastic which lead to three great races. We had good seats in the village stand, great view of the corners and plenty of action, with the TV right in front of the stand. Parking was easy, the course map very informative, food, drink and the necessary toilets all in abundance, large queues but lots of staff so ques go down quick. Brilliant Day, C Ya all next year.......

Great weekend entertainment

Great weekend made by weather and great racing appreciated by great fans. Price of food and drinks high, guess this reflects the cost of business rates charged.

Great weekend with great racing

A great weekend from Thursday to Sunday!! Woodlands campsite was clean and well run, as before, facilities on the site are good and plenty of staff around to ask help if needed! Lots of facilities at the circuit and plenty of entertainment being held there and at Woodlands campsite to keep you busy when there was no racing on!! All made the better by a dry and sunny weekend :) Great seats at Becketts corner (where we've sat for the last 3 years), with lots of choice of food and drink nearby! (Albeit very busy on race day) Took a lot longer to get out the campsite this year to previous years though. We did feel that the cost of Woodlands camping was a lot for each person, but having been to the Le Mans motogp where the camping was free we can see why it costs as there were no facilities close to what Woodlands have!! We were also given programmes and radios at le mans too, but you have to pay for both at Silverstone. That being said, we can't wait for next year! Fantastic weekend!!!

Fantastic day out, great racing

Very good set up, Entertaining racing, easy to get too and very well organised exit from the track. Only issue on a rare hot day that we had was a lot of the food and drink places had sold out of bottled water.

Good weekend lack of parking organization

Had a good weekend bought a Village A ticket which was a good choice except for the Sat which it rained so wished then I had bought Village B which was covered.Payed in advance for circuit parking which ended up. a disaster, Took us 2 hours to get out of the field. No organization at all.Lack of stewards to help move the traffic along. Shame this spoilt a good weekend.

2016 MotoGP

The racing and the facilities inside the circuit were excallant. The information and signage to get to the car park was poor. After the meeting their was no marshals to assist exiting the car parks for over 2 hours causing gridlock and frustration. This would certinally put people off going to another MotoGP also silverstone who should be experienced handling this amount of customers might want to consider their position on this poor car park performance £22 badly spent.

Pretty good weekend in all!

Was very disappointed about the amount of toilets around the circuit. For the price of the tickets which aren't cheap a half hour queue for them are no fun & a waste of our time. Also the food vans are overly priced & all the same kind of food which thankfully I don't like so managed to lose some weight.

Traffic

Access to the race day was OK due to us arriving early. Unfortunately, leaving was a nightmare! I understand after any major race, traffic would be bad, but it was awful, we spent 3 hours stuck in traffic near and around the circuit. To be honest, it's put us off attending anymore events for next year, we spoke about making F1 next year.....not now.

Poor exit facilities

The organisation for getting off the course were terrible:-That has to be the most disorganised chaos I have ever seen, also payed for the privilege . Can I ask was it all about getting funding to the local park and ride. We arrived in the early hours of Sunday morning for this years Moto GP with an abundance of parking stewards ticket collection was swift but to far away. After a superb days racing we thought no rush let the traffic go first issue trying to get through the underpass at the start and finish straight , two directions in one small lane ( I noticed people with access to a track marshals bib were putting them onto their children to get them over the course, highly illegal) then back at our field which cost us £10 to park we sat just letting the two hours subside before we realised that Nothing was moving. Upon investigation we realised that the park and ride buses were freely moving between the racecourse and Towcester. This was not an issue what the issue was that the one and only car park attendant was trying to filter FIVE lanes into one at the exit gate to allow free passage for the buses, why didn't Common sense prevail and when no buses were moving allow two lanes to filter through. I had a two and a half our journey upon finally getting of the course which took one and a half hours, we listened on the radio that the traffic was still bad. Lessons learned have more stewards on to get us away especially for £65 for the day and have more departure lanes available for all of us to get home without bad memories of what would have been a fantastic event. May I also apologise to the one traffic warden next to the park and ride roundabout for the many sets of angry abuses directed in his direction.

MotoGP at Silverstone

Fabulous weekend overall; great venue, very helpful and friendly on-site staff, excellent facilities around the circuit but the toilets could be better if they were permanent structures (WCs) at or near the new stands for example, as on the continent e.g. Catalunya. The camping arrangements and bike security was excellent, particularly the provision of a 'land train' to and from the camping areas from the secure bike park. The entertainment and food/drink availability at the Woodlands camp site was brilliant, with just about enough showers to go round but the WCs there got 'trashed' over the Saturday night. Consequently they weren't very pleasant to use on the Sunday morning!!! This could be improved on for next year. :O)

Moto GP Race day

Excellent race day, seats rather compact for my 6.5 ft frame but ok. Big qs at toilets all day other than that very good.

good

Although we were only at the meet on sunday the racing was brilliant, the facilities far outweighed anything Donnington offered over at least the last ten years. Parking was ok but wasn't impressed with leaving the circuit as it was gridlocked and took at least 50 mins to actually get out onto any road only to find we were directed in the opposite direction to which we wanted.

British Moto GP

the day was exactly as I had wished. The tickets arrived quickly with very useful information included. Arrival at silverstone the flow of traffic due to the excellent sinage and marshalling was stress free. toilets were very clean and in plenty, there was even hot water in the taps! The help of the stewards for directions was excellent. the racing was exemplary and we had a great view in the Arena area of some great battles for position and could then see the action from other area on the big screen. The track commentry was also very useful.an excellent birthday surprise fro my husband - and the sun was shining!!

Entertainment/Camping

The camping facilities need some improvement ie. toilets & showers. More entertainment. Better shop. In general we were happy although the queues at the showers every morning were horendous. We were also robbed whilst we were sleeping which was a liitle disturbing to say the least. Having said all that the good things outweighed the bad and it appears that the problems ie shop etc are already being addressed so we will definately be back next year.
