Ruined weekend

Pointless waiting around

We were so excited for our first Moto GP experience. Main race had been brought forward by 90 minutes due to forecast rain, so we arrived nice and early. Start was then delayed by rain, and then began the charade of reviewing the track every half hour or hour to see if the race could commence. It was clear to everyone that there would be no racing until at least late afternoon, but there seemed to be an inexplicable reluctance for the race committees to admit that. There are no wet weather facilities for the spectators, so we had little to distract us while we waited in the wind and rain each hour for another disappointing and inconclusive announcement. Announcements remained confident that racing would take place on the day until around 4.30pm (5 hours after scheduled race time), when it was finally admitted that the race was cancelled. Since we know that the race committees have access to much better weather forecasting data than us, it is inconceivable that they really expected any racing to take place between 11.30am and 3pm, despite keeping spectators hanging around for half-hourly updates. The purpose of these can only have been crowd control, which was a terrible experience for every member of the crowd. We were deliberately misled, and kept waiting around in the driving rain for no good reason, which is inexcusable.

Stunning Silverstone

Another brilliant MotoGP at Silverstone. Great facilities, brilliant racing, good views and plenty of big screens. Great atmosphere, very friendly.

very enjoiyable

all was very good except the commentary was not very good over speakers and the tv screen opposite woodcote needs to be bigger to follow the race better.

MOTOGP 2017

This was my first visit to Silverstone and the Day was on the whole excellent, however there was never enough toilets esp. for ladies. The parking in a grassy field was woeful and the charge of £30+ is a disgrace. It took over 90 minutes to exit that field and get on our way (where did all the stewards go?) the food and drink was passable but why on a hot summers day drinks (pints mostly) pre-poured. the queues were ridiculous. The signage is also woeful.

Awesome weekend

First time to Silverstone to watch the GP. Fantastic experience. Atmosphere was incredible. Services and facilities very good. Easy access to the circuit for parking. Walking on the track after the racing was an experience.

Amazing

We had an amazing time at Moto GP in Silverstone. Our seats where amazing and we were able to get all our tickets located next to each other. My only down fall was our Pit lane experience. We bought this as a family and when heading our way round we found that a lot of people where heading in a different direction which we were very confused about. However when we reached a member of staff to ensure we where heading in the right direction he informed us that over 600 people were already in the queue and we would be better heading round to the other entrance. While we were making our way round we noticed that a large crowd was following and the queue again was very large. At this point we were glad that we decided to come round early with the amount of people that were attending. At 5pm the gates open and everyone was able to enter into Pit lane. This I was very confused about... how was so many hundreds of people able to into this at the one time and have the experience that we paid for. Well I was correct there was far to many people I found it very difficult to see the majority of the bikes that were on show as I am small in height and many people where standing at the fence not allowing others to get their opportunity to take pictures and enjoy what they had paid for. Also I unfortunately lost my family throughout this and I was not able to enjoy this with them like we hoped for. I can imagine that it will not only be myself that feels this way, I noticed a family who had a child in a pram was struggling to get past all the people and the child I believe could not see anything and was becoming very upset that they were basically standing in the one step and no one would allow space for them to get past. I think if this experience is going to be open for sale next year a better process should be in place to allow everyone to get a fair opportunity to enjoy seeing the bikes on display.

A great experience

Well organized. Easy to get in and out on Sunday. The coach service from Silverstone to London was a nightmare. Very aggressive driver.

Great day out

Fantastic weekend. Great atmosphere. Great choice of food outlets. Not overpriced. Very clean and tidy. Only downside was leaving the car park took 2 hours. No stewards or police guiding people so was slight chaos!

DAY OF CHAMPIONS

My second time at Silverstone for the the Moto GP and had a brilliant time. It was however my first visit to the Day of Champions. Had a brilliant day - came into contact with lots of the famous riders from all classes. Got plenty of photos whilst walking around the Paddock, which lasted an amazing 4 hours. It was just pot luck as to who you managed to catch but enjoyed every minute. Even got a photo with Simoncelli's dad! After the paddock tour came the auction, couldnt believe how generous the fans were, bidding outrageous amounts of money for the rider's items. Brilliant day - would definitely recommend to all fans.

Racing was excellent, car parking was a shambles !!!!!!!!!!!

First time at a Moto GP, hooked ! - day was only spoilt by the car parking, £20 quid to park in a field and then having to spend 2 1/2 hours to get out of it !

MotoGP 2017

Tickets arrived as expected, great seat allocation (woodcote B row C) plus I booked park & ride at towcester racecourse. Lots of buses waiting (we were on 1st one), got out & onto motorway with no delay at all Obviously some of this is down to silverstone organisation rather than bookmoto.

The best MotoGP weekend ever

We know you didn't organise the weather, but it all went really well. Even with the extra security. The information wallet you sent was a great bonus, with all the info we needed. It had arrived as promised with the tickets , so no worries at all

10 out of 10 for book moto again

Second time at silverstone for moto gp with book moto. Everything went as smooth as clockwork, finding the circuit parking and seating is idiot proof. Fantastic day out will definitely be going again next year (through book moto of course) a big thankyou for making it easy stress free and getting me and my son fantastic seats.

Enjoyed the racing, spoilt by parking departure chaos

Really enjoyed the races, great view. The day was marred significantly however by the chaotic and dangerous lack of a system of getting cars out of the car park on Sunday night. We were stuck in the car park for 3 hours and for others it was more. The lack of organisation was astounding for an event of that size and meant we got home at 10pm rather then 7pm. I will be making a complaint as it will affect my decision to attend future events at silverstone.

Great weekend apart from the access road to Woodlands campsite

The race and Silverstone were fantastic. This was my first time and I'll definitely be back next year. My ONLY complaint was that although Woodlands provided a great camping experience and facilities and choice of food and drink, the access and egress road was horrible! A gloopy muddy mess following the heavy rain that weekend. I know it's not a major drama but I would have thought that with the money they must make they could at least provide some sort of decent surface.

Spectacular ripoff start to finish

Briefly, no healthy food anywhere, not enough toilets, music entertainment was average and didn't last long enough after race, not enough seating to enjoy music, no where to shelter from rain, BUT worst by far was the appalling situation in the carp arks after the race as people tried to leave. No stewards to help anywhere. We were abandoned, people were very angry that there was zero thought of how spectators would exit. Pathectic, and NOT GOING BACK to silverstone ever.
