The circuit is located only 3Km from the small city of Assen, in the province of Drenthe. The city offers a limited number of accommodation options but several campsites can be found on route to the circuit.
The nearest big city to Assen is Groningen, which is approximately 35Km to the north. Groningen is the largest city in the north of the Netherlands and offers a wide range of accommodation options. Due to its history and two big universities, Groningen offers plenty of sight-seeing and a buzzing nightlife.
Alternatively, you can also choose to stay in Amsterdam and travel to the circuit each day. The train ride from Amsterdam to Assen takes approximately 2 hours. Amsterdam offers plenty of hotels and hostels to suit all budgets and can be reached from the UK by train or plane. Amsterdam is the capital city and the most populous city in the Netherlands and offer plenty of attractions and things to do.
Although the circuit do not offer an official campsite, there are several campsites located within walking distance from the circuit. Some of the campsites are TT Hall, Noord, De Haar, Graswijk, Jan en Bertha, Oostra and Pole Position. As this is a very popular event, you may wish to reserve your campsite early by researching and contacting the campsites in advance to avoid disappointment.
