GETTING TO THE CHANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT

Parking

Buriram is around 400km away from Bangkok, approximately a five-hour drive by car. The circuit itself is to the south of the city, next to the Buriram United football stadium, and can be accessed from Routes 218 or 219. It is approximately 20 minutes away from the city centre by car.

If you are travelling from Bangkok, take Highway No. 1 (Phahonyothin) to Saraburi, turn right into Highway 2, then right into Highway 224 and Highway 24 (Chok Chai - Det Udom). Once you pass Nong Ki District, Nang Rong District, then turn left into Buri Ram Follow Highway 218.

There are multiple public parking areas at the circuit including near to Sidestand A, Sidestand D and the Main Grandstand.

Motorcycle Parking is located by the Main Grandstand.

Coach & Bus

For long distance journeys, the bus is the most popular mode of transport in Thailand as it takes you almost anywhere in the country. The bus network is very dense and bus departures to and from the centre of Buriram are frequent. There are regular, air-conditioned buses run by the Transport Company Limited, and the private Bangkok - Buriram line departs from Mo Chit Bus Terminal 2 in the northeast region, every day, several times a day. The journey takes approximately 6 hours.

Taxi

The 10km ride from the centre of Buriram to the circuit should cost you under 150THB (£3.50), although this is likely to fluctuate during peak times. Always ask for the meter to be turned on, and try to confirm the final fare price before starting the journey.

Train

There are rapid, express, and ordinary trains from Bangkok–Ubon Ratchathani, Bangkok–Surin, and Korat–Ubon Ratchathani, all of which run through Buriram. State Railway of Thailand has online timetables and ticket booking available.

The train network provides excellent value for money, although are prone to being late and progress may be slower than in most major cities.

Other

Buriram has a small domestic airport, offering flights to and from Bangkok with a flight time of approximately 1 hour. The airport is around 40 minutes drive to the north of the circuit.
