Traditionally the opening race of the Formula 1 season, there is a sense of tradition around the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. The eyes of the world focus on Albert Park at the beginning of every season as fans, pundits and teams eagerly await the fruits of their labours and finally discover how fast they really are out on track.
With the race being cancelled for 2020 and 2021, Australia will play a different, yet equally pivotal, role in the season.
But it won’t just be Formula 1 in action, as some of Australia’s most exciting race series take to the track from Thursday all the way up to race day Sunday. VHT Australian S5000 Championship, Supercars, Porsche Carrera Cup Australia and a number of Historics will be in action, as will the RAAF with an incredible air display over the track. If you’re a real racing fan, Albert Park is the place to be this November for the Australian Grand Prix.
