The Hungarian Grand Prix is truly a fan favourite, and offers the cheapest tickets in the calendar. Typically held in July, one of Europe’s most popular races is all but guaranteed to sell out.
Why go to the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix?
The Hungaroring is a historic track with fast corners that favour fearless driving and audacious overtaking. This track requires extraordinary precision and speed to master.
Maintaining its place in the calendar since 1986, every world champion since the inaugural race has won a race at the Hungaroring, except Alain Prost and Nico Rosberg. That includes Max Verstappen, who won an epic Grand Prix in 2022. In case you’d forgotten, the Dutchman went from 10th on the grid - took a spin! - and still somehow managed to claim a dramatic victory. The 2023 race was a much simpler victory for Verstappen, but saw Lando Norris finish second on the podium.
2021 was another crazy race where Esteban Ocon led from the third lap to take his first-ever victory.
FIA F2 and F3 action will likely feature as well as potentially the all-female open-wheel championship W Series.
Visit Budapest
The circuit is just 25 minutes from central Budapest; one of Europe’s most popular city destinations. Known for its vibrant and yet affordable nightlife and restaurants, as well as historic architecture, the Hungarian Grand Prix experience offers so much more than the on-track action track.
For those travelling to the race, it is also one of the most wallet-friendly races you can attend. Budget airlines regularly fly into the Hungarian capital, which is renowned as one of the cheapest cities to visit in Europe.
Grandstand and general admission tickets for the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix are now on sale. This event is highly likely to sell out, so make sure you’re not among the high number of fans who miss out every year!
