The Hungarian Grand Prix is a favourite of Formula 1 fans across the globe. A historic track with fast corners that encourage brave overtaking, and require extraordinary precision and speed to master.
On the calendar since 1986, every world champion since the inaugural race has won a race at the Hungaroring except Alain Prost and Nico Rosberg. That includes Max Verstappen, who won an epic race in 2022 from 10th on the grid, even taking a spin on his way to victory.
The previous year also delivered an extraordinary race, with Esteban Ocon leading from the third lap to the end of the race to take his first-ever victory.
Stars of the future will be in action throughout the weekend, with FIA F2 and F3 drivers looking to demonstrate their speed and race craft at this fantastic circuit. In 2022, the all-females open-wheel championship W Series also returned to the circuit to entertain fans.
The circuit is just 25 minutes from central Budapest; one of Europe’s most popular city destinations. Known for its party atmosphere and historic architecture in equal measures, the Hungarian Grand Prix experience doesn’t stop when you’re away from the track.
For those travelling to the race, it is also one of the most affordable races to attend. Budget airlines regularly fly into the Hungarian capital, which is renowned as one of the cheapest cities to visit in Europe.
