For over twenty years, motorcycle racing’s premier class has been racing at the thrilling Sepang International Circuit. Not only has it provided incredible racing action for decades of motorsport, but it also provides fans an opportunity to discover this special part of the world.
A stone’s throw from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the Sepang International Circuit has provided great racing action across motorsport’s biggest series, including WEC and Formula 1. The unusual layout is characterised by a long back straight that loops by a tight hairpin back onto the start-finish straight. The track varies between wide open corners, and incredibly tight turns, with many hard braking zones perfect for overtaking on a bike. Moto2 and Moto3 will also be in action this weekend, as things really start to hot up on track as the season nears its finale.
And things will be hot away from the circuit, too. Temperatures in Kuala Lumpur average 28°C in October, but there’s plenty to discover in Malaysia’s capital. The Petronas Towers were the tallest buildings in the world until 2004, and offer a stunning view of this metropolitan city. If sunbathing is more your vibe, Langkawi Island is a short flight away with some of the world’s most picturesque, luxurious beaches.
