WEC returns to the Temple of Speed

One of the most revered circuits in motorsport, Monza is all about speed. An unrelenting 3.6 miles which sees any car pushed to the upper echelons of pure power. While the passionate fans of Italy have enjoyed a popular Formula 1 Grand Prix here for decades, World Endurance Championship returns to Monza for the second time in 2022.

Characterised by long straights and few slow-speed sections, the cars will be set up to maximise their power while managing reliability for six full-on hours of racing. The circuit will become a significant event on the calendar, especially as Ferrari are confirmed to be entering the series in 2023.

Between racing sessions, the city of Milan just to the south of the circuit will be abuzz with racegoers. The antithesis of the high-octane action on track, this classy city is the perfect spot to sample the local, laid-back culture while enjoying an espresso, pizza and gelato (in that order…).
