Awesome Weekend!

Absolutely unreal weekend. My first F1 race weekend and it was amazing. Spa is an cracking circuit and there were plenty of viewing points for bronze members around the circuit. Would definitely recommend the Belgium GP to other race goers. We camped on the Saturday night also which was absolutely fine. No issues with the camp site other than a few rowdy campers late at night until the early hours. Very well sign posted and easy to find. Plenty of traffic though as you would imagine. Be prepared to do a lot of walking though! Overall, amazing experience!

Great weekend of f1 fun tinged with sadness

The f1 weekend in belguim was super and a great place to visit. Unfortunately tinged with sadness with the loss of the F2 Driver who lost his life Antonie Hubert. RIP. We thought the tv screens were too small and no enough of them to keep us up to date with the F1 action on the rest of the track. We had gold 9 starting grid position. Which we hoped to see more but when everyone stood up missed allot of the action. The sky tv channel was not visible externally as it was positioned inside the priviledged hospitality lounge. It was diffcult to keep up with what was happening throughout. But the atomosphere and roar of live show was great. Drinks were very expensive as was food and had to be purchased thro a token system which was not good. I would say buy all food and drink in the town before you go into venue. Need more screens and better coverage for english speaking guest.

Great GP

One of the best GP in the world, there's no doubt. View from Gold 8 was excellent. Thursday's pit lane walk wasn't as I expected. Everyone can get in without control of tickets, so it was crowded. Everything on circuit is expensive, but on the other hand I was satisfied with WC and so on.

Couldn’t pick my seats

Unfortunately, I couldn’t choose my seats. We were seated on row 2, with the sun on our faces and too low to enjoy

Great weekend

The 2019 Belgian Grand Prix will definitely be the greatest experience we’ve ever had. We arrived at the circuit on Saturday and straight, I completely fell in love with the track before we even got in! While we were getting our tickets scanned, I could hear the monumental echoes of the screaming V10 and V12 engines. Watching F3 was amazing. We shocked by how good the engines sounded. Sat at eau rouge, great seats gold 10, covered stand. Be prepared for changeable weather-rain coat or sun cream.Lots to see and do in the fan zone next to us, dj all day, food n drinks, merch. Access to circuit was fine on Saturday but very busy on Sunday.

Excellent race with good facilities

The circuit clearly have learned a lot from running F1 races before. The access to the venue was good and the exit (often a big issue) was quite rapid and well directed. We had good seats on the start/finish straight. The food availability was barely ok, with the usual bias towards meat and little else (except chips!). The music during race intervals was truly dreadful unless you are a 10 year old!!

Great weekend

This was my second trip to Spa and it didn't disappoint. Access to car parks was well signed and even after the race on Sunday the delays were not so bad. Facilities in Spa could be better considering the number of fans attending.

Prepare to walk - even for decent toilets

Excellent weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, more than just the formula one on offer for a full weekend of entertainment. Yellow Camping was good value, pretty close (20m walk) to the circuit and comfortable site with on-site cafe, fantastic temporary shower blocks. Toilets were very much lacking though - they were disgusting and I refused to use them. Definitely pack your walking shoes! It’s a hilly affair but well worth the effort!

GOLD 11 New Grandstand 2019

Spa is the best track I have ever been to. Belgium is immaculate and we will be back Gold 11 was new to 2019 with no reviews so we were a little concerned to begin with. If we go back to f1 we will be booking GOLD 11 again. We had the full view of cars coming all the way down into final chicane towards us and crossing the finish line. Also the pit entrance was right in front of us. The podium was in the distance along with approx 4 pit garages to view pit stops if you look to your left. We could view a massive TV which was intended for Gold 6 but also had our own little TV right in front of us No cover over the grandstand was not a problem. The only down side was the seats, they are narrow and you would just pray that a big fatty didn't get seated next to you. I think they would need two seats to be fair. But!!..........if you want to stretch your legs, the tarmac in front of the stand was for Gold 11 only as well and lots of people were wandering and standing with just as good a view as us which was very good. Nobody complained about us using the standing area as it made it better, because the grandstand was half empty giving more room for everyone else. The facilities in this area are also shared with Gold 1. Due to only gold 1 and 11 being allowed in the area, there were no queues for any food or drinks that I seen. Only the toilets. This track needs more toilets all over anyway. Always a queue Car parking, the traffic marshals are shocking. They will divert you anywhere. They clearly couldn't handle the volume of traffic. Just be prepared for long waits at the end but who cares, just don't book a boat or euro tunnel too early on the Sunday night after race day. We ended up on the 2am boat from Dunkirk. This was good timing and we arrived in good time compared to the amount of UK vehicles hurtling past us at near 100 mph as we got near to the terminal. ..........They clearly booked the earlier boats and were struggling to make it LOL. We also were booked into a hotel 27 miles away during our stay. This was no problem travelling in each day. It actually let us see lots of the countries stunning scenery. Only took us 45 mins each way. I hope this helps other people booking up ..............don't mess about, get it booked early. This place is AMAZING!!

Gold Stand 9

Perfect seating and good view, BUT the screens are way too small. There is no chance to see the standings on the screen. Also the screens could be placed a bit higher. All in all, a good experience :-)

The best venue - TERRIBLE FanZone

Spa is iconic, the race was amazing. Camping spot on. Amazing atmosphere. The FanZone was absolutely shocking though. Very little motor racing shown on the big screen. F1 needs to bring a new generation of motor racing fans to a brilliant show but having DJ’s playing music all day that people rarely danced to it not the way to do it. Why aren’t you showing F3, F2 all the F1 sessions, how about the race itself?? We sat there on Sunday with 100’s of others waiting for the DJ to stop at 3pm presuming the race would be shown. At 3.05 we were told it would be on, at 3.09 when we asked again we were told it wouldn’t be shown. You let motor racing fans down badly. We ended up in a crowded fenced in wire fence pen. Thanks for that. It has been an amazing weekend (we had 3 day tickets at Speed Corner but thought we’d like watch the race on the screen with a view of Eau Rouge. Completely ruined the feeling we had all weekend. Show all the formula’s sessions/racing with commentary explaining what is happening - educate a new breed of motor sport fans. There were so many children there with parents and you let them down. Spa is the best track (that comes from an English motor racing fan who adores Silverstone, Suzuka, Interlagos etc), with a unique opportunity for families to stay close by and engage and learn about the sport. So frustrating, how could you have missed such a simple opportunity. The FanZone is for ‘motorsport’ fans, not ‘music’ fans. If wanted to sit and watch music while camping I’d have gone to Glastonbury.

Excellent venue, good facilities

Opted for yellow camping and gold stand tickets which were an excellent investment with short walk to the circuit and seats opposite the finishing line and pits. Pros: beautiful venue, fantastic circuit and atmospheric social venues. Cons: Fanzone closed very early in evening & the campsite toilets were very noisily cleaned at 4-5am each morning; not good after a late night!

Fantastic visit to the Belgium Grand Prix

We arrived on Friday having purchased weekend pit straight grandstand tickets. We drive from Calais which took just under 4 hours with a quick stop and some slow traffic. Saturday (around 10.30) we queued to leave the motorway into Stavelot but was moving and well managed by police and stewards. On Sunday, we drove straight in around 10am. Parked in the yellow parking area all three days (pre-booked) which is made up of fields, all well marshalled. Was about a 20-30 minute walk to the Gold 1 stand from the parking area but straight forward. We had amazing seats right opposite the Mercedes our garage and the winners podium. Block C row 4 seats 39-40 - fantastic! There was plenty of food choices within the grandstand area which you purchased tokens for (10 for €35) and having had a few dishes, all were good quality and generous portions. Could have been more toilets for the amount of people but that was a small thing! Easy to move around, we did walk over to the fan zone but we weren’t really impressed with that so only visited the once! Leaving the track was busy especially on Sunday as expected, only too would be look around you for hidden exits! The stewards that has been in the car parks fri/sat disappeared on Sunday which was a shame but the police directed traffic once onto main roads. It was slow but moving. Took around and hour to hour and a half to get up to speed on the motor way. Sadly an F2 driver lost their life on the Saturday, the marshals and emergency services did a great job and although somber, race day continued with several acts of remembrance which everyone took part in. The racing community really came together and although emotional, was handled with the upmost respect. We enjoyed our experience and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. The scenery is fantastic and you really do under estimate how much the track level changes around the circuit! Would recommend for sure!

A great experience

Very well organized. Showers with warm water (most of the time) were available in the yellow camping, there was a restaurant right at the camping site with meals and beverages. The FC-Ster yellow camping was a bit difficult to find though. The venue itself was well thought, it was easy to get around. The prices for food and beverages was higher at the venue, but acceptable. Cheaper beer could be found in the little stores in the village. The race was amazing.
