The view from Grandstand 1 is from the inside of the circuit, looking at the start finish straight, and across there to the pit lane and podium. From here you can see the cars approach from the final chicane, up the start finish straight and into Turn 1. This is the second DRS zone on the track, so you can expect to see some attempts at lapping and overtaking here. Also, at the start of the race (and each support race), you can see the formation of the grid and pre-race ceremonies.

Montréal is a great locale for F1 Race !!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Canadian Grand Prix. The course is well maintained and has a beautiful layout near the St Laurence River; a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes. The whole city is geared up with streets closed and great music and temporary street cafes for drinks and snacks. Had a fabulous time. Everyone was very helpful and Friendly.

Beautiful weekend

Grandstand 1 at the start finish line is a great place from which to see the race. Loved Qualifying. Loved most of the race day although we were broiling in the hot sun. Hated the race result. The penalty ruined the day for us. Bring lots of sunscreen and wear a hat

Awesome Experience

This was my first time attending a Grand Prix race. From the communication of the ticket delivery to day one of races everything was extremely professional. The preparation email was extremely helpful. When I arrived at the venue the first day my navigation there on the train and to my seats w as seamless. I definitely plan to use booking F1 again for future Formula 1 races. Thank You

All good except the race

We got tickets in grandstand 1, which is a bit of a hike from the metro, but good to be close to the start / finish line and pit lane. The straight here is quite short so you don’t see that much action, but close to pit stops is fun. I wish there was better transparency with bookf1 i to the actual seats. We were at the far left of grandstand 1, which was the very back of the grid. Would have preferred being closer to the front, or at least being able to choose. Race was really dull, but booking process was very easy and always reliable.

¿Te ha sido de ayuda??

Exhausted, but still feeling such a high from the excitement of the weekend.

This is the second time we have attended the Canadian Grand Prix. I knew from having attended it two years ago, that it involved a lot of walking. This year, at nearly sixty years of age, and having opted for better seating in Grandstand One, directly in front of the starting grid, pit lane, and garages, I found that the farther distance to walk was even harder for me than it had been two years before. It would not have felt so brutal had it not been a very, very hot weekend. Walking so far in the sun, and sitting directly in the sun for several hours for four days made me fear at times that I might collapse. I drank gallons and gallons of water in that time. I just wish there was some way to make it more easily accessible for older or less energetic people, given that the over 40's outnumber the younger generation, at this Grand Prix, at least. I did come very close to collapsing in the heat a couple of times and had to call upon security personnel to assist me in finding a taxi from the casino to take me back to my hotel, instead of plodding on, heart beating too fast, and sweating buckets in the blazing sun, to get to the Metro station. On Thursday, having the buses collect us at the end of the bridge and drive us around the track to the pit lane was very, very much appreciated. If only there were a lot of benches - or anything - to sit and rest upon, in the shade, along the route to the grandstands, it would be of immeasurable help. As it is, I unfortunately have to admit to myself that this year had to be my last attendance at a GP. However...now that I have my only grumble out of the way, I can say - what a weekend! The Thursday morning meet and greet, autograph session with the drivers was one of the most thrilling, satisfying experiences of my life. I met and talked with eight different drivers - among them the one who makes my heart beat so much faster - in a good way! No, no - don't presume to know who it is. He's my little Spaniard, and in my opinion the greatest 2 time world champion driver in the world. I was crazy with excitement when I realised he was there signing when I arrived at the front of the line. I spoke with many of the drivers, and it all seemed surreal. These are my idols! The long wait in line was worth every single second for that experience. Our seats in Grandstand One were excellent. Directly in front of the Merc garages, with Red Bull beside Mercedes. And we also got to watch all my favourite commentators right in front of us too - Ted kravitz, Martin Brundle, Damon Hill - oh - and elsewhere on the circuit we met Crofty - David Croft, and he was so friendly and welcoming, chatty and patient, and he gave me the squishiest hug and insisted we have our picture taken together, with him and my son too. We saw Michael Douglas up close, and Patrick Stewart. We had no need to rush to the podium to see the trophy presentations - we were close to the podium in our seats. I saw Toto, Maurizio Arrivabene - again right under our noses, and Niki Lauder gave us a couple of stage bows and raised his hat to us when we called out his name and all applauded him. For such fans, the whole weekend was all the excitement we could have asked for and more. The portaloos were located only steps from the back of our grandstand and plentiful in number - no long lineups, and a good supply of sani-wash too. We also had a nice little park area and beach, right on the water, right behind our grandstand, where we would sit and eat lunch and cool off in the shade of trees for a while. I really do wish they had brought in a lot more picnic tables and benches for the weekend. If they can bring in everything else, would it be too difficult to provide more seating for all the racegoers, outside of their grandstands? In the shade. It was an EXTREMELY hot few days. I did suffer some heat stroke by the time Sunday evening came around and was feeling quite unwell on Monday. Overall, though, I consider every dollar which the trip cost me - air fares from Nova Scotia, hotel, restaurants, and three day race passes, which is in fact a four day event with the Thursday morning event too, to have been worth every single cent. Buying my tickets from BookF1.com is to be highly recommended. If they could advise me on which circuit in the world I could access and enjoy everything I participated in at Gilles Villeneuve, without the long, long walks, and bridges to climb, then I would be happy to book again for another GP. Even the foam earplugs they supplied were appreciated when I realised that it was not so much the noise from the engines which were hard on the ears, but the noise of the commentators through the speaker system, competing with the car engines. Those tiny, inexpensive little pieces of foam made a very pleasant world of difference. And the ticket package, little folder, map and event timetable, plus tickets and commemorative lanyards make for great souvenirs for the scrapbook. I used to follow GPs around the world a lot in my youth - back in those James Hunt, Niki Lauder days. Things are done very differently now, but the thrills are still the same, despite my poor old creaking body struggling to keep up.

Ticket Collection Fiasco !

A word of warning, if you have to collect F1 tickets at the Montreal circuit then Book F1 ticket collection is from the same booth where they sell the tickets, for some reason they don't warn you about this ridiculous situation when you make the purchase. You have to queue with everyone else waiting to purchase despite you having prepaid. We arrived well before qualifying on the Saturday and after finally finding someone who could tell us where to collect we had to stand in line for 2 hours to make the collection, it was then a very long walk to the grand stand so we missed all but the last 10 mins of qualifying. The official F1 ticket service however which is located adjacent have a dedicated collection booth so the queue moves quickly and everyone was long gone to watch qualifying whilst a few hundred of us still stood in the general ticket sales line. A total fiasco ! I have been buying tickets from Book F1 for 10 years but won't be doing so again !

Gold 1 vs hairpin

This was my first GPF1. Proberbly pick hairpin seats next time as on the straight the cars go by in a blink of an eye. Brilliant experience.

Best of them

F1 weekend with book f1 starts the moment you receive your race tickets. I have had an excellent experience dealing with book f1, which makes for a good race day. My seating and basic help from them was true and good. I will continue working with book f1.

we are doing this again next year

Great event. It is a long walk to our stands so the rain on Friday was a bit of a pain, but the rest of the weekend was stellar. Security was fantastic. The subway was really efficient even with the huge crowds. The atmosphere in Montreal was electric Best ever

Grand Prix Spectacle

The race weekend was one of the best races that have been put on by Montreal. Quite entertaining, the weather was perfect, no safety cars during the race, just good clean racing. There should be a bigger variety of food stands, not just hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza.

Best weekend ever.

Loved the weekend! What a great event. We rayed in the Old Port. The atmosphere was amazing. The metro guys were fabulous! On the last day we took the ferry back to town. Expensive but really worth it because it topped off a fantastic event. The only negative - twice I was almost ripped off by the beer concessions. I think they thought I was from Europe and tried it on. I saw them doing it to someone from Germany and interceded to the good. Being Canadian, I know how much change we should get so no worries. F1 people - please read the concessions people the riot act. We can't have this.

Amazing experience!

I had no idea what to expect since I had never been to a race. The weekend was so well organized and the city transportation was a breeze. My bookF1 ticket packet arrived and had everything I needed to know about the race. I had a few requests for my seats and was so surprised to see how fabulous they were once I got there. I was surprised as to how much personal items you could bring to the race such as food and drink and will be better prepared next time. highly reccomend booking through BookF1!

WE WANT TO DO IT AGAIN

THE ONLY COMMENT IS FOR THE CIRCUIT ORG. IT NEED MORE SECURITY AROUND GOLD 1 AND 2 AREA . WE HAVE THE FIRST ROW AND PEOPLE LIKE TO INVADE THAT SPACE. THIS YAER FOR SECURITY WAS BETTER THAN LAST YEAR.

Not formula one

The weekend was perfect, but the only problem I had with it was the noise level of the F1 cars. The sound is too quiet for F1 cars, the Ferrari Challenge cars were louder. Please FIA bring back the sounds of formula 1.
