Hungary 2019

Probably one of the best races I have been. Race great, pace and people fantastic.

Excellent seats, race & weather!

Having been to multiple GP, I would rank the Hungarian as one of the best organized. Police, stewards & volunteers were everywhere to help direct and keep the flow of both vehicle and foot traffic moving. The minor downside was that the Fanzone was small, which made it seem very overcrowded. We stayed 20km from the track and because of the organization, the drive in, and out, was a breeze.

Second time and it was great.

Booked second time with bookF1, last time was in 2017. This year ticked were pretty early like month before. Thursday pit walk was little disorganized. People got wristbands with sectors and they were supposed to go to pit walk base on these, but nobody checked them and it was meaningless, so from main grand stand people jumped over seats and it was pretty chaotic. But track was open up to last corner, compared to 2017 when it was closed much sooner. Also parking was very chaotic on Thursday, not as much people directing it, and they were very slow. Parking during the week is much better and faster. Persons on the parking will show you exact spot where to park. Entering the gate was also ok, no delays. There was free tap water all over the track. Food was very expensive 3000+ HUF . You can pay by €, where 1€ = 300HUF. I had 3 corner tickets with Sunday being on Gold 1. It was good, but the negative was that there were 2 TV further on the left and right. And they had delayed sound between each other, so it was hard to understand anything. They play videos and highlights whole day on the TVs. Fan stage was behind last corner, there were some short interviews with few drivers on in in the Saturday evening. This year they let the track open a little longer after the race, so I managed to get on it, compared to 2017. I had VIP parking on Sunday and I can recommend it. You can use VIP lane and park closer to the track. But the main benefit is when you leave, you can use the normal road, instead of using dirt road like from free parking. Leaving free parking on Sunday is very chaotic, as you cannot use the normal road you used to enter and there is nobody directing it. One negative was Polish fans, they were pretty drunk and annoying. Screamed Kubica regardless who was on stage or podium, very disrespecting.

Another Great Weekend

We have been lucky enough to go to a number of GP and have always got the tickets from BookF1. Once again these were fantastic seats and we were treated to a great race as well. Thank you!

Great experience

Paddock Club was amazing. Everything was at high level:meals, drink, paddock visits, pit-lane walks, truck tours, drivers interviews, etc. Book.F1 did a great job! We received our passes directly at the Hotel. The only disappointment regards the complimentary access to the VIP grandstand. People at the gates are not correctly informed. So, we had to ask to F1 service for helping in enetring the reserved grandstand sector. But, just to take few photo from there. The Paddock Club hospitality is prefer the grandstand view.

Gold 3 stand

Great stand and not far from entrance and official taxi drop area. Traffic into circuit isn’t to bad in the official taxis and only takes 60 mins. Coming back if you go straight to taxi stand after race from gold 3 you can be in taxi and away in less than 30 mins and back in centre of Budapest in 30 mins. The view from stand Gold 3 is excellent and you can see pit exit main straight and first corner. There is a large screen opposite and excellent PA system. Overall great race week again third year in a row.

Glorious Hangaroring

Excellent weekend’s racing in Hungary. Well organised circuit, with grass banks for general admission viewing (bring a picnic blanket) We opted for bronze grandstand over the back, which gave a great view. Most of the grandstand and viewing areas are exposed, so got wet on Saurday’s qualifying and near heat stroke on Sunday. (Pack for both). Plus getting out of car park on Sunday was a chore. To be honest, these are common traits with a lot of circuits and overall, we rated the circuit highly. The other bonus was the closeness of Budapest, great city with excellent choice of bars and restaurants. About 30-40 minute drive, we hired a car, but public transport and even taxis from Budapest are options. There is the pit walk on Thursday afternoon and free entrance to testing starting the following Tuesday afternoon this year, Both were covered in the standard price of a weekend ticket. We wished we had extended our stay and got more F1 for the price of our ticket! We’ll be back soon.

Hungaroring GP F1 2018. Great race shame about the lack of management

Super gold tickets so fab view. But Awful disco trash music at deafening level whenever nothing going on on track.... poor people traffic management into & out of circuit. Pit Lane walk totally overcrowded and unstewarded despite a lot of queueing for wrist bands to enable access which were totally ignored...in fact sent to sit in uncovered stand in baking sun for what would have been 2 hours ... we left & later chanced it in the melee...to look & see that all those stands still seated when we were on the track !! So ended up crushed trying to get a glimpse of anything. We did private taxi every trip ...expensive at 40 euros each way ... but totally worth it cos of extreme heat Summary: great racing shame about the lack of crowd control... Not for the elderly, very young or infirm

Perfect day .......!!!except

We have visited silverstone, Barcelona and they are 100 times better than. Hungary. Hungary was let down by. Parking was horrendous, disabled parking was non existant, access in for disabled generally was poor. Up/down hills being sent that way by your staff with no common sense. Toilets made you retch. There was no cleaning fluid, toilet paper or hand wash facilities. Trying to get through stupid gridlock areas because of venders in the way. It took hours just to walk through areas. What worked it was it was a fab day. But, I do think you need to have a rethink on making sure the small details work like they do in silverstone and Barcelona. What makes it worse when your trying to get through to the place you should be and your staff tell you to move on and you had to argue with them that your in the right place but it’s too late they’ve moved you on and making it impossible to get back. It was chaos. Put your porter loos level you feel one tip and your on the floor. In 2018 using smelly toilets with no wash facilities from a event that makes millions really makes you insulting to the basic human need. I sound like I don’t visit busy venues. Trying to leave went wrong it was disorganised.

Good in places but fan safety real problem

Let's start with the bad stuff. In gold 4 (which is all seated wooden stand) for F1 race about 20-30 people sat on one set of stairs ( assume same or worse in other stairways) partially or completely blocking stairs which is only way in and out of stand. They didn't have tickets for seats. Stewards could see this but they just ignored it all . The only route out blocked by people, seems risk and also the stand was therefore above capacity. No problem until there is an emergency, then the fans will be the ones injured. After race tried to get to car park and other part of crowd to exit so going in different directions. Problem was complete free for all, 15 lines of people heading for exit and 2 lines to car park, and even these 2 lines disappeared. Lost my 14 year old grandson in crowd, but no sign of any crowd control either persons or ropes/ guides. That's enough of the bad , now the good. Plenty of food and drink concessions, no queue more than a few minutes all weekend. Vip car parking reasonable price and so close to track. Toilets , well they were so plentiful and clean, am going to Belgium next and I know the facilities will be worse Overall great Grand Prix but safety non existant (forgot to mention no security checks at all so could take anything in). F1 will say organisers issue, organiser will say all ok and only exceptional. If a fire, bomb or terrorist attack will be too late

Grandstand view

VIP lane and parking superb. The grandstand cover was crucial in protecting us from the heat. We had a great view of the start and the pitlane. But there is a price to be paid for being close and comfortable. We had no view of the rest of the track and had to rely on the television screens for the any action away from the start/finish line. The commentary was close to pointless as the loudspeakers were impossilbe to hear and even the screens showed no times. The best approach was to log on to iplayer and check the BBC commentary.

Fanastic

It was our first time to book the F1 and have to say I can not fault anything. Booking was easy. Tickets arrived well ahead of the event with clear info pack. No issues when arriving at venue and was exactly as the package offered. Our VIP tickets offered easy access to the Circuit, perfect parking and fantastic grandstand seats. Overall a 100% satisfied experience and can only recommend !!

hot exciting various weekend

This was a very relaxed event. helpfull securities and police. minus was the VIP ROAD you have to drive on th M3 into Budapest befor you can find this road. and it is only on one side of the M3. The traffic flow at the end ot the race was also a big problem for the organisation.
