Steeped in the history of Motorsport, Phillip Island offers so much more than the exhilarating high speeds you'll witness at the circuit.

Iconic wildlife and pristine white beaches can be found in abundance on the island. The famous Penguin Parade, koalas in their natural habitat and majestic whales should all be on your checklist while visiting Phillip Island. A nature-lovers paradise, there is no shortage of options to unwind after a day of adrenaline-fuelled racing!

Despite it's relative rural feel, Phillip Island caters well for tourists, with no shortage of restaurants and bars. The local businesses will always go the extra mile to satisfy the motor sport fanatics who travel to the island during the race weekend. Cowes is the main township on Phillip Island, a bustling shopping area approximately an hour walk from the circuit.

Vuelos internacionales

The nearest major airport is Melbourne Tullamarine Airport which hosts both domestic and international flights and is located about 22km north-west of Melbourne city centre. Taxis and a 24-hour Skybus run between the airport and central Melbourne, or car rental can be found in the short stay car park. International visitors may find it necessary to fly via Sydney Airport.

It is possible to get from the airport to the main hotels in Melbourne via a shuttle service run by Skybus. They run approximately every 15 minutes throughout the day (hourly at night) and an adult ticket will cost you around A$18 one way.These tickets can be bought online through the SkyBus website, or at the airport.

Ferry services will operate from Stony Point to Cowes, connecting with a shuttle bus to and from the circuit. Parking is available at Stony Point. Ferry tickets must be pre-booked online at: www.interislandferries.com.au/gp and will be available nearer the race weekend.

  • Penguin Parade

If you are on Phillip Island make sure to check the Penguin Parade out. Every year, more than half-a-million tourists watch the Penguins making their way to the shore every night during sunset.

  • Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit Visitors Centre

If you want to find out more about the rich Australian motorsport history, then visit the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit Visitors Centre opened every day from 9:30am to 5pm.

The Visitors Centre welcomes a Motorsport Museum and offers you the opportunity to try Slot Cars and even Motor Racing Simulators.

  • The Nobbies Centre

If you have an interest for wildlife, then the Nobbies Centre is definitely the place to be! The centre displays plenty of marvels such as little penguin nests, the largest colony of Australian Fur Seals or the endangered Cape Barren Geese.

  • National Vietnam Veterans Museum

This beautiful museum, put together by volunteers and donations, tells the story of the 521 Australians that died during the Vietnam War.

Discover this wonderful Chocolate Factory, this place is full of surprises and would be perfect for both adults and children. Take a peek at the fantastic chocolate sculptures, while eating the free samples of handmade Belgian-style chocolate.

En general, las fechas no suelen cambiar, pero no podremos confirmar la fecha del evento hasta que el calendario se confirme, que esperamos que sea a finales de año. Si la fecha cambia, las entradas que hayas comprado para asistir al Gran Premio seguirán siendo válidas. Ahora bien, a ser posible, sería recomendable no reservar ningún tipo de alojamiento o viaje que no pueda cambiarse/cancelarse con facilidad hasta que se confirme el calendario de F1 2020.
