Description

Grandstand 11 is on the exit of Turn 2 aka The Senna Curve. This Grandstand offers a view of Turn 2, and the pit lane exit. Those sat on the right of the stand (when facing the circuit) can also see Turn 1 and some of the start finish straight. Turns 1 and 2 are famous for incident, especially at the start of the race.

2019 Canadian Grand Prix

This particular race had been on my 'bucket list' to attend for many years and it did not disappoint. The circuit is in a beautiful parkland setting. The organisation is great, used the metro for access. There is then a reasonable walk to the circuit but this should not be a problem for anyone with modest fitness. Around the circuit I'd say that there could be more food options and steps could be taken to avoid pedestrian bottlenecks at peak times. The sound system could be improved to make it more audible. The positives far outweigh any negatives however, the race is well attended with a great atmosphere. Although there was disquiet at the result, as a Hamilton fan I didn't feel intimidated at all which could have been expected at a football match. The city itself is fantastic too, it really embraces the event with plenty of additional special events laid on in downtown Montreal

2019 Canadian Grand Prix

Booking through BookF1 was painless and easy. We even booked late and got great seats. Everything arrived as described with clear and precise instructions and information that was better and more acurate than the tracks maps and directions! Website had very useful information about getting around as well. Great job! Will defiantly use BookF1 again!

Eclectic Emotions

BookF1 was great! The seats were perfect. My problem is with the organizers of the event at the track. I contacted them a few weeks before telling them I was healing a broken leg. Not only did they give me the wrong taxi drop off to use, but after the race, even though I had waited 90 minutes so that the crowds thinned out, I had to walk to the Casino, wait in a long line for a bus! to take us 'close' to the only taxi stand available after the race. The wait there was over 2 hours. AWFUL organization!!!

Book F1 lived up to expectations again

My second visit to Montreal and a GP I would highly recommend. For 2019, the weather was fantastic and we had the controversy over Vettel's time penalty which meant Hamilton one the race. These are the fourth set of tickets I have booked through Book F1 and they have always met my expectations. If I had any criticism, it is that the booking and delivery fees are high and add a lot to the price. The tickets we had were excellent (row HH, seat 3 and 4), lower down than when I went last time. Note that you are sitting on metal benches so some prepared, even if it is just a towel to sit on.

This has been the 4th GP I have overseas and by far the best one . Stayed in downtown Montreal with easy excess to the track via the metro. Approx 45 mins with walking. It was a very smooth operation on race day . The track is fantastic with great views in Stand 11 where we were. Plenty of food outlets and compared to Uk prices I found cheaper than attending events in the Uk. If you want to do an overseas GP I recommend doing Montreal for 6 days great city friendly people.

Great but disappointed at FIA decision on Vettel.

Great weekend overall until a fake win of Hamilton. F1 is not racing anymore until FIA makes unfair decision based on unfair rules created by them. Totally thinking of not going next year.

Once again bookf1 get the best seats

What a race weekend - stand 11 section 1 have lots, start finish and first 2 turns - perfect seats Access to track was easy via metro but a very spread out track - f1 zone not really an option for stands 11 and 12 etc as the f1 zone is at the hairpin From exiting the metro it’s around 35min walk to stand 11 but well worth it Great service from bookf1 as always

Hot but good

The seats are so close together there is barely enough room to move. Sitting practically on top of each other is not comfortable for 2 hours.

Loved the experience. One problem

Enkoued the race weekend amd plan to return next year. One of the male ushers was quite rude - yelling at me as if I was his child for sitting in the isle at section 7 row cc grand stand 11 near seat 23. While others were smoking and standing but he didn't say anything because they were regular attendees and he knew them.

Canadian grand prix 2018

Our experience with book f1 was great. Tickets arrived nice and early as we were visiting the USA before heading to Montreal. We chose grandstand 11 on turn 2 for the weekend. This turned out to be a good choice, we could see the cars all the way from the exit of the last corner up until the exit of turn 2 heading into 3. The whole event was well organised, food was typical fast food but I would say above average and about the price you would expect to pay for these type of events. A burger cost around 7 dollars. We stayed in downtown montreal and was very easy to get to the circuit every day. We paid around $12 for a day pass on the subway which was only a 5 minute walk away from where we stayed. Once you get to the station by the circuit it was around a 20 minute walk for us as we had the furthest away grandstand. Everywhere around the circuit was clean. Beers cost around 8 dollars which again isn't too bad. We liked the entertainment after the racing had finished as they had a Heineken terrace and also a monster energy zone, which gave us somewhere to chill and relax after the race. The weather we had was pretty good also. In the low 20's but felt warmer in the grandstand all day so Definatley needed water and suncream! All in all a great event, the grand prix itself wasn't that entertaining but that was unlucky and not the event's fault. The support races were pretty fun to watch also.

What an experience for our first Canadian Gran Prix

We enjoyed our time at Gilles Villeneuve circuit, Montréal. It was a great experience, well organised by all including , transportation, and circuit staff. The only complaint we have , that due to the large number of Brits attending, and yes we Brits too like our beer, larger and wine , there were NO stalls selling a warm cup of British tea ! In fact they looked blank at you when we requested one. Not everybody enjoys coffee and non/alcoholic beverages . Just a winge .

Great weekend, good race!

The weather cooperated, sunny and warm, but not too hot. Montreal is a cosmopolitan and very European city (compared to other cities in North America) and the downtown was party central with many streets closed to cars and devoted to race themes. The F1 practice sessions and qualifying were excellent and the start of Sunday's race was thrilling as we watched Valterri hold off Max in turn 2. Unfortunately, as the race progressed, it became like other processional races.

Good event, poor facilities

Event itself is very good. Seats were well positioned, stand 11, section 7. Lower section numbers would give a better view as would much of stand 12. Limited facilities in area, couldn’t get merchandise for any teams other than Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull. Couldn’t walk round circuit also to see what was in other areas.

Great view but ageing facilities

Book F1.com came through with a terrific couple of seats, (grandstand 11, section 2) which gives you an uninterrupted view of turns 1 and 2, the pit exit road and the start finish line. There was a clearly seen TV screen within easy view. Be aware, however, that in all the grandstands here, except 2, there are no "seats". All of the grandstands are old style open scaffolding where the wind whistles through and none are covered, except the hospitality ones. Your "seat" is just a continuous aluminium bench which is generally cold to touch and so most people bring mats to sit on. You can buy large foam mats here with the circuit logo but a lightweight folding mat brought from a UK hiking shop for a couple of pounds is better. There are numbered stickers along the front of the bench and the centres must have been set when people were still thin, as you can end up getting squeezed or "overlapped" depending on how unlucky you are with your neighbours size. We sadly were unlucky with some XLs on one side and a major beer party on the other. The locals certainly seem to like their ice boxes and beer consumption. they drop their empties through the open scaffolding. Toilet facilities are not permanent buildings but are just rows of the usual cubicles which each day quickly became overused. Food outlets were reasonable with the usual fast food options but there are no eating spaces or picnic tables, like Australia or Dubai and all the communication routes seem narrow and jammed. The support programme was good with Porsches, Ferrari challenge, F1 masters and F1600 I checked a couple of other grandstands on Friday lunchtime and 11 is recommended, although section 8 (far left) might be hindered by the tree. In my view G12 is not as good as you are partly viewing at an angle, possibly across larger neighbours. Your view is also blinkered by the adjacent tented hospitality grandstand. 5 is good and is also recommended. Security on the Friday was poor, with a 45 minute queue coming off the metro, but on Sat/Sun. it was just a token check with no hold ups. Circuit access is only by the metro which works well. After the race we joined the track invasion which was a privilege to stand on after years of watching it. We got up close to Niki Lauda being interviewed and Lance Stroll celebrating and then sat for a while to let the metro crowds subside. A good race and a good view but the facilities are starting to fall behind other circuits.

excellent seats with great visibility

The race weekend was a great success. Everything went really smoothly and the event as a whole is very well organized. There are many exciting events around the track and additional racing events that keep you interested the entire time. The seats we selected in Grandstand 11 were a great choice. There are other locations that don't require Grandstand tickets that have great visibility all around the track especially around Grandstand 11. One note is that everything can be very expensive and you will spend full days at the racetrack as it's quite secluded from the rest of Montreal. Pack enough food and supplies.

Wonderful F1 Experience

The seats we got through BookF1 were very good. We were in section 4 of grandstand 11 about half way up. The view allowed us to see the cars at the start line and the first and second turns. The seats are very close together so be ready to get cozy with your neighbors. Also, the walk out to the grandstand takes about 35-40 min from the entrance. Overall a great experience and can't wait to come back!

View from Stand 11 Section 7

First time holiday in Canada with my wife and took in F1. Had a wonderful holiday with exception of obstructed view from Stand 11, section 7 which was obstructed by 4 trees. There are billions and billions of trees in Canada, why can these 4 trees not be cut down. Booked this stand so we could see the main straight, pits exit and turns 1 and 2 as promised. Had we been in any of the other sections in stand 11 we would have seen this view we planned for. As it was we could only see the cars as they began to enter turn 2. This was a BIG, BIG, BIG disappointment. I have photographs to prove it. My analogy of this would be attending the Theatre and finding that the curtain was drawn halfway across the stage. There must have been about 1,000 fans who had their view obstructed. We paid £410 for the tickets, when a general admission ticket would have given better views. Is this the way to treat fans.

Montreal F1

The race was great. The stand gave a good view but not as expected. We could not see down main start/finish straight. Should have gone to stand 12. Why are you not made aware of viewing limits of seats on offer before booking? Also stand was uncovered and it was very cold. As seats were made of aluminium my wife developed a problem with cystitis which hopefully can be addressed. Me I just shivered most of the race. But overall experience was good.
