Description

Grandstand 12 is on the outside Turn 2 aka The Senna Curve. This Grandstand offers a view of Turns 1 and 2, and the pit lane exit. Those sat in the higher rows of the stand (when facing the circuit) can also see some of the start finish straight. Turns 1 and 2 are famous for incident, especially at the start of the race.

Great City, Good Race

The Canadian Grand Prix is my favorite race. Montreal is an outstanding town & the Metro system is an excellent means of getting to the track. Grandstands 11 & 12 offer great viewing of Turns 1 & 2 as long as you don't mind the long walk. My only suggestion would be to have more support races.

Great race and fantastic city

Always wanted to go to this race and it didn’t disappoint. Great city, great race friendly people. Easy to get to on the metro. We were in stand 12 section 2 near the back. Fantastic views of corners 1,2 and 3 and exit from pit lane. 2 pieces of advice ...,buy a cushion as the benches are rock hard and it’s a fairly long walk from metro station to stand 12 but overall brilliant and can’t wait to go back again.

Brilliant GP Weekend

The Canadian GP takes place in the circuit gilles villeneuve on the beautiful Notre Dame island a short metro ride from Downtown Montreal. The metro journey to and from the circuit was quick and extremely well organised, once on the island we had quite a long but very scenic walk to our seats (approximately 40 minutes) which were in stand 12 section 5 row V. We were very pleased with our choice of seats in the Senna corner as the view was spectacular, turns 1,2 and 3 with the wall of champions visible in the distance. Also great views of the river, city and pit exit. A great spot with lots going on. The facilities at the circuit are very good and queuing for food, drinks and toilets was minimal despite how busy it was, some shaded areas in the food/drink area would have been beneficial. The weather was very hot for the race weekend, stand 12 is uncovered so no shade (we prefer uncovered stands). The weather in Montreal can be changeable, we went from 11 degrees and rain on Monday to 28 degrees and sunny on Sunday so go prepared for everything! The pit walk on Thursday morning was an open public event and very well attended, despite being busy the event was so well organised with opportunities for photographs and autographs with the drivers. We had a week in Montreal to allow for a bit of sightseeing before the race weekend, it’s a beautiful city with lots to do and see. Overall a great experience and one of the best organised F1 events we have been to. As always the service from BookF1 was excellent.

Great Race

A beautiful race track and surrounding park, and couldn’t have asked for better weather. However, the logistics getting to and from the track are marginal at best. To clarify a bit, getting to the track wasn’t really that challenging. Unfortunately leaving the track there simply isn’t enough transportation options and they closed off access to Uber, only allowing taxis to pick up. Makes no sense other then political gains and taxes but seriously hampered getting off the island on race day.

Our first Canadian GP

We had a great few days in Montreal and extended the weekend by a few days. Hotel was lovely and we had quite a few racing teams and F1 people staying in our hotel. It was a very hot weekend. We did have a long walk to our seats but discovered on the last day that we could have caught the bus which we did on race day which made quite a difference. We took part in the charity walk on Friday night around the circuit - that was busy. One negative was that the seats are benches are very cramped - they would be much better have proper seats. Also the food was rubbish!! Apart from that fine! We would definitely go again at some point.

Great Weather, Great Experience

The overall experience was very good. Montreal moved the crowd very quickly through the metro which was impressive. The park was nice and clean and the weekend was perfect weather and the seats were great.

Queues

Masses of people, shuffling between the underground and circuit (20mins) $3.25CAD, queuing for food, toilets & between places. Rock hard metal bench on stands, take a cushion, also closely packed. Open to the elements.

Book F1 made getting tickets simple

Book F1 helped make my first GP a fantastic experience. They responded quickly to questions and were helpful throughout the GP weekend.

Great venue - well organised - great seats

Getting to and from the track was very well organised - the track is on an island in the St Lawrence river and you simply get the Metro. There were lots of police and marshalls to control the flow of people and regular trains. It's a fairly long walk once there so you need comfy footwear. We were high up in Grandstand 12 - we were directly in front of the pit lane exit and first 2 corners and could see right down to the wall of champions at the end of the start/finish straight. Food and beer quite pricey at the circuit, so many people took their own beers and Subway sandwiches in, but for a big event it was well organised. The seats are one long aluminium bench with just a number to mark where you sit, so it's a good idea to take your own seat pad. It can get windy up high, so even on a sunny day you may want extra layer(s)

Smooth sailing

Our seats were great, the entire experience was fantastic. The actual racing was a wee disappointing but the facilities, the organization, the city, everything was great.

Incredible experience, great tickets

I purchased tickets for the F1 Montreal for my husband as a Christmas gift. Long wait but an incredible experience. The only concern was receiving the tickets at the last minute. We had to delay our departure as the tickets came 2 days before the event. Nonetheless the seats were outstanding. We will make this an annual event.

Good event - poor race

We had a good time - the event is well planned there is lots to do in Montreal and around nd the circuit. The security is well organised. Sadly the track is not a good setup for f1 as overtaking is very difficult and it led to a boring race when it doesnt rain.

Fantastic! I always love coming to this event!

I love the hospitality iv'e always enjoyed in Montreal and at the track. I plan on attending future grand prix's. One request I have is more food choices around the track. I could only find small somewhat unhealthy snacks. No real healthy meals. Otherwise Iv'e always been very satisfied.

Fabulous Rooky Experience

Really enjoyed the Canadian Grand Prix Ecperience and the build up of tension and excitement over practice , qualifications and race day. Very worthwhile getting the package for the whole weekend as one event built on the other.

Off the wall excellent!

I was seated well up in grandstand 12. Perfect for seeing everything from "the wall of champions" to the Senna turn and beyond. The large screen was well appreciated for additional viewing.
