Description

Le Rocher is a General Admission area overlooking the harbour, Anthony Noghes corner and part of the Swimming Pool complex. Early arrival is recommended to get the best views. Please note this area does get crowded and the terrain is quite steep and rough so this area may not suit all spectators.

Amazing experience

We went for the full weekend and it could not be more amazing. If there is one grand prix to attend this is the one.

La Rocher @ Monaco - Do it!

I purchased 2 sets of tickets from bookf1. Outside the casino for the practice session and la rocher for gp race day. Booking with Bookf1 was great, I was on the waiting list and the emailed me as soon as tickets were released. I had a few questions and they answered them promptly. 5 star rating for them. The seats outside the casino were very good, the chances of seeing a crash were high, although you only see the seconds snake round in a few seconds, this is still a few seconds longer than you see them if your sat viewing on a straight. We were under the impression the dress code was smart casual, but shorts trainers and T-shirt’s were worn by most. Having a seat there had its benefits and you could just stroll up leisurely for the time you want to be there. Security was high so we felt safe. Now la rocher on race day. We paid 100 euros per ticket for general admission upon the cliff face as opposed to hundreds of pounds per ticket for a grandstand and wow was I glad we did! You need to get there early, aim for 7am, take camping chairs and a small hand spade, comfy clothing (layers as if the sun is out it’s boiling but if it clouds over and rains, you’ll need a jacket and maybe a brolly) also take a picnic as you will be sat there all day. Although you need to take a drink, make it last as it took me just over an hour to get to the toilet. Once you get there at 7am, you need to find a spot on the cliff face. Do not settle for what you think will be a good spot on the path, trust me it quickly becomes massively over crowded and people will jump, climbs, sit in your knee to get a good view. You need to be prepared to jump over the railings and dig yourself a flat or at least 4 chair holes to try level out your camping chair. I know this sounds a ball ache, but honestly, if your prepared to do this, you can save around £1500 if there’s 2 of you! We did exactly that and had an amazing elevated view straight down the pit lane and the 2 bits of straight either side. The atmosphere was fabulous and we really felt part of the spirit of the Monaco Grand Prix. If you are not prepared to turn up early and be prepared then don’t bother, as mentioned it took me an hour to get to the (immaculately clean) toilet after climbing over the sea of people. All in all we had an amazing experience from start to finish. I also purchased the lanyards and earplugs which were great and the tickets came in a nice presentation wallet. If you are in Monaco for the whole time, go to the fan zone on Friday, take a poster or hat or program as you could meet the drivers and get your memorabilia signed. Amazing!!!

Monaco Grand Prix

The service offered by bookingf1 was excellent, they were informative at every stage. Which allowed us to plan in advance and the local information made the journey stress less.

Excellent Service!

Absolutely excellent service from BookF1. The tickets arrived in good time and were presented well. The overall experience was great (who doesn't love Monaco....), and I will definitely use these guys again.

Monaco can be fun on a budget!

We had the best weekend in Monaco without having to spend a fortune. We purchased Rocher tickets for Sunday race day and found a spot on the hillside with an awesome view of 4 different sections of the track (trainers and a seat or picnic rug advised as some terrain grassy/rocky). We arrived at 11am on race day and still plenty of good spots. We stayed in Nice just 20 mins away by train where accommodation is more affordable and we ate/drank from the fast food stands in Monaco, 10 Euros for burger, chips and a beer. Not bad! Really recommend going in to Monaco on the Saturday night for the party scene on the track. Free access and great atmosphere! An awesome sunny weekend, highly recommended!

Great experience, will be returning next year!!

When booking the tickets, I was dubious about booking general admission, rocher tickets as there were mixed reviews. Some said it was a great experience and others commented it was a waste of money. We set off early, arriving at the track by 8am, and it was already busy. We found a great spot, and were surprised at how much of the track we could see. Id estimate we could see roughly 75% of the track - we saw them exit the tunnel, round the chicane, pit lanes and start line. Albeit at a distance, and we never had a really close up view of the cars but could see a large screen and hear the commentary from where we were. We are already planning our trip for next year and can’t wait to come back!

Like Being In A Tin of Sardines

If you buy a General Admission ticket for Rocher, then expect to feel like you're packed in a tin of sardines on a dirty piece of scrub hill side. Can't believe the powers that be in Monaco don't get their act together and make Rocher much more spectator friendly, considering the amount of money they take off you.

2017 Monaco Grand Prix

My wife booked tickets for me (my upcoming 55th birthday present) and our son (university graduation present) thru BookF1. I went couple of times to Montreal Grand Prix and bought tickets thru official F1 site so was not sure what to expect, but BookF1 exceeded our expectations. Tickets arrived on time and everything went smoothly. We booked seats at K Grand stand and were very pleased with view (except for couple of ignorant people in front that kept standing most of the race and blocked our view). It was unforgetable trip and we are planning to go next year again. And we are going to buy tickets at BookF1.com for sure.

It was quite a precarious spot.

I would definitely warn people that this is a very difficult area to view the race. We got there on Friday morning so we could scout a spot as advised. Seeing what was there we decided to go buy two folding chairs and some bike chain/locks to secure them to a spot as others had done. However when we arrived after standing in a horrible crowd of people going up the road and 2 different security spots we found that two women came and folded our chairs up and put their chairs next to them. Leaving us barely enough room to open ours and sit without hitting into the man on the other side of us and them. The man refused to move and inch, even though he had room. The two women just ignored us. The people behind us were beligerent. Not the best environment to enjoy a race we looked forward to for over a year. You couldn't move anywhere as there were so many people. The best part was the man on the hill with the bull horn that kept talking to everyone down below and they would answer. Too many tickets sold in this area. Then leaving took forever because all the sidewalks were closed off. A great spot to see the race, but a lot of people who were not friendly.

Amazing Experience

Really easy to purchase tickets through BookF1.com. We booked fairly last minute so we had to pick up our tickets...we did find the collection point but it was tucked away within the streets of Monaco. On the practice day we had purchased K3 tickets. This was a great view over the harbour front and you can get really close to the track. There are toilets and drinks underneath the stands so it was ideal. Saturday we had tickets for the rocher secteur...obviously this is much further away being up in the old town of Monaco but it has breathtaking views and you can see a lot of the track rather than just a section. I was really pleased to see bag checks and security on stand by and at every entrance point to the trackside. Couldn't fault the trip...one tip is to get the train early! We were completely squished on the first day and that was 8.30 am!

Good weekend

Had a lovely weekend in Monaco and the surrounding areas. We stayed a week and loved soaking up the atmosphere, weI loved Friday and being able to see and walk the circuit from all angles. We've never done this before so that was great. Saturday we had grand stand tickets, great as you have an allocated seat = no concerns about arriving early to get a spot. Unfortunately we feel that the grandstand had less to offer than the general admission we were in on Sunday. Grandstand = unable to sit forward as I have long legs which meant I was kneeing the person in front of me, if you left your seat you needed something to sit in on on your return as the metal seat was unbearable left to the sun exposure, the seats were so uncomfortable also, to sit on for long periods would Have been most uncomfortable and I'm only grateful no one of a bigger size was sat with us as there wouldn't have been room!!! Sunday General admission= we arrived early and got a great spot, we could see four different parts of the track, the pits, a TV and we were in the shade!!!! I must say the hill is lethal for the less stable of characters wondering/ trying to balance on it but we feel this added to the experience. The atmosphere up there was just electric all day. The circuit, I can only imagine that everyone feels the same but to have a circuit where no one can over take and the drivers sound deflated before they've even started should lead to changes rather than a repeat year after year. I love that the track is around the streets of Monaco but feel more could be done to make the track an interesting race where drivers feel there's a chance of success and challenge. We'd love to come back to Monaco Grand Prix again in the future.

Rocher - don't waste your money!

Unless you plan on getting there on Saturday evening and camping out. And then not moving all day. Don't waste your money booking in rocher. View of track is poor, no commentary, toilets are horrendous! Save up, spend more and book a grandstand seat!

Date provisoire

Billets enfants

Children aged between 6 to 15 years old are entitled to free General Admission or Grandstand entrance on Thursday (a ticket is still required) and a 50% discount on ticket prices for the Saturday and Sunday. Please note that this is not applicable for hospitality packages.

The organisers ask that spectators do not bring children aged 5 and under because of the high noise levels. However, at parent's discretion, children aged 5 and under can enter grandstands free of charge without a ticket if they sit on a parent's lap.

Identification may be required on the day for child ticket entry.

Billets mobilité réduite

A wheelchair-accessible area at the circuit is managed directly by l'Association monu00E9gasque des handicapu00E9s moteurs. Please contact us if you require more information. The association has advised they expect passes for this area to be available from January 2020.

infos supplémentaires

All tickets for the Monaco Grand Prix are available for individual days (Thu, Sat or Sun) and grandstand tickets can also be bought as two-day (Sat-Sun) or three-day (Thu-Sat-Sun) packages. There is no Formula 1 track activity on Friday 22nd May and access to the venue is free.

Tribune L Low is located in rows A-D, Tribune O Low are rows A-J and Tribune T Low are rows A-M - all other rows in these stands are classified as High. Please be aware that views from lower rows are more likely to include safety fencing. Tribunes L High and T High have views into certain areas of the pits. Unlike previous years, Grandstand K is not split into High and Low rows. The organisers have advised this is due to the increased attractiveness of lower rows following improvements to the port.

Pit Walk

As in previous years, a pit walk will take place on Friday afternoon. This will be available for customers who have booked 2 or 3 day tickets in the same grandstand. These ticket holders will receive "pit access" tickets automatically with their tickets.

General Admission

The 'Le Rocher' General Admission area offers hillside viewing and the natural rough and in some places steep terrain may not suit all spectators. We recommend arriving early in Le Rocher to get the best viewing experience as the area can become very crowded particularly on Sunday.

Gold and Silver Packages

A limited number of Gold and Silver tickets are available in select grandstands and offer spectators access to privileged seating areas within their chosen grandstand. Fans that purchase Gold and Silver tickets as part of two-day (Sat-Sun) or three-day (Thu-Sat-Sun) packages will also be eligible for additional benefits, namely pit walk access and a piece of merchandise. Please click on each package to see what's included.
