Amazing trip to Monaco

We had an amazing time in Nice/Monaco. This included our Monaco Grand Prix tickets, which was in section N (the seats in the harbour opposite the swimming pool). These seats were well priced compared to other areas, and we saw plenty of action, with a big screen opposite. The queues at the toilets and food stalls weren’t too bad, prices for food very reasonable too (these are controlled??) The area around the track was great too, ie shops and bars. Would recommend Monaco GP and section N for sure.

My experience

The whole process from booking the ticket on line to receiving the ticket, being kept up to date with information, and the race itself, ran very smoothly and without problems. Arrival at Monaco was great with everything well sign posted and ticket control to various areas that I visited was easy. All the staff that I came in contact with were very helpful and efficient. The seats were as it said on the tin, well positioned with good views of the race and the big TV screen. If I had to criticise anything it would be the comfort of the seat but it did not spoil my day and I may take some foam padding with me next time. All in all a very well organised F1experience and I will definitely use your services on my next trip to a GP, thank you.

Disappointing

We were in the Rocher viewing area on the Saturday. It was over crowded with no proper viewing areas. The view of the track was very limited. The TV Screen was the only method of seeing what was going on. On race day we were in stand N. This was a very basic structure with no cover. The seats were a metal plank no backs and very uncomfortable for seven hours of sitting.. The view was limited and we had no real view of the Giant Screen. The £400 tickets are not worth the money. The race organisers have put to many stands so there is only a limited view of the track and they are extracting the maximum from supporters and offering very little in exchange. Also remember if you want to bring in a bottle of wine to drink with your pick nick you cant do this as the bottle will be confiscated by security.

Not the best views of track

Thursday practice we'd booked stand T, we got T1 which had good views of the pit entry, but poor ones of the pits themselves. T2 and T3 would be better for that. Tip - you can walk around the back of the buildings behind the paddock, and get all the way to one of the paddock entry/exit points. We got photos and autographs from a few drivers and TV presenters. Not very busy there, less than 20 fans waiting for people to come out; most of them Italian which meant the British TV presenters had no pressure and were happy to stop for a chat! (Thanks Natalie and Simon, made our day!) Friday: you can sit anywhere. We chose stand A1 at first: great view of turn 1/ St Devote (very close to the action) but no TV screen, so we then moved to K2. We were able to see the big screen, but difficult to read anything without binoculars. We could see the chicane in the distance, and tabac up close, plus the entry to the swimming pool. In the afternoon we headed over to Place d'Armes (called the "MGP Live" area") where drivers were interviewed and signed autographs for the crowds. Get there 2 hours before the first interview to be at the front! Then we did the pit lane walk (enter at the pit exit, you need to show a Saturday or Sunday ticket). Not too much to see as most teams were blocking their garages with tyres. Happened to pass as Haas drivers were signing autographs, but didn't wait around for other drivers. Very difficult to walk past the Ferrari and Mercedes garage: the walkway is only about 4 people wide and it was crammed with people hoping to see the top drivers. Then we did a track walk, took about 2 hours to do a lap, taking photos at every corner. Saturday we were in stand N. Disappointing view. Could see the entry to the swimming pool, and the start of the exit. TV screen was a bit far away, and all the crashes at the swimming pool exit were hidden by other stands. I reckon stand P would have been better, or the one inside the track next to the swimming pool (L maybe?). Sunday we'd asked for stand K, and had enjoyed it on Friday. We got K3, which was rubbish. Too far round to see the chicane. K1 and K2 are obviously good, K3 to K6 aren't so great.

Perfect Race Weekend

We had a fantastic time from Thursday to Sunday. Monaco GP is a great event, very well organised and one of those things you just have to see. Book F1 were great. We were travelling through Europe when the tickets were released so we had to organize a place to get the tickets deliverd to. As you can imagine I was worred they would be late or lost in the mail etc. But when we arrived to our hotel in Munich, they were there waiting for us, as promised by Book F1. The Book F1 staff responded very quickly to any emails/queries I had and also did a great job with seats for the Saturday and Sunday, including taking on board our requests for seat preferences. 5 out of 5 stars for customer service. On the Friday we just went general admin on the hill at Rocher. Good view of the cars coming through the chicane in to Rascasse and then around the last turn on to pit straight. Also a view of the pits and pit entry. There is also a tv screen to see whats happening else where. Get in early to claim a spot and you may want something to sit on as its dirt an squased plants. On Saturday we sat in Tribune N on the harbor across from the swimming pool. Great view of the cars flying in to the chicane flat out during qualifying. There is a tv screen but its not the best view from the middle to the end of Tribune N. But it was good enough to see the times during qualifying. On Sunday we had seats in Tribune K6. We were lucky enough to be seated second to last row back and 2 seats from the end. This meant we had amazing views of the harbor and of the cars coming out of Tabac in to the swiming pool chicane. We could turn around/stand up and see the pit exit and start finish line. This was great for seeing the cars on the grid and all the drivers lined up during the national anthem. Also a great spot for celebrity spotting. I would highly recommend asking to be placed as far back as possible, as anywhere along the back row will give you 2 views. A few bits of information that is handy to know. - If staying in Nice (like we did) go to the train station on the Wednesday or earlier and pre purchase the train tickets. The station is very very busy on GP days. - Be prepared to be squeezed on some trains. On Sunday, the stops between Nice and Monaco were basically pointless as there was no room left on the train. - Food and drink is not stupidly expensive. A beer was €3.50 and a hotdog was around the same price. There are also supermarkets open in Monaco so you can get food and drinks slightly cheaper there. It was great to attend an event like the Monaco PG and find that all the local vendors had kept their prices the same as another day. Other GP locations could learn a thing or two. - Friday is free entry. Just a quick security check on the way in and you are free to sit in any grandstand, anytime of the day. The roads open up early afternoon, so it's a great time to do a track walk and if you have grandstand tickets for Saturday or Sunday you can do the pit walk. This is a great day to just walk everywhere and get to know what's around the place. - If you plan to catch the train out of Nice on the Monday after the race, purchase your train tickets well in advance. We didn't and ended up having to catch an overnight bus to Paris and lose 1 night's accomodation at our hotel. - Take a hat and sunscreen as you will need them, the only seats that might have shade are in Tribune T or on the hill in general admin. - Be prepared to deal with pushy people when trying to get a photo or autograph of your favourite drive. Unfortunately everyone acts like it's the end of the world if they aren't the first ones. That's probably the only downer we came across. Impatient people get on to the trains and impatient people during the pit walk (best chance for a signature/photo) Apart from that, it was a perfect weekend. Great time watching the race, and a great time hanging around in Monaco after the race. The whole town goes in to party mode and it's a fantastic atmosphere to be around. It was just great, even my partner who doesn't follow F1 as much as I do, loved the whole weekend. I hope to come back another year and if I do I will definatly organise my tickets through Book F1. Cheers

Excellent day, good facilities, fantastic atmosphere and would highly recommend

Firstly, we stayed in Nice and got the direct train to Monaco which was not only well organised, 30 mins on the train but also cheap at 8euro each. Upon arrival it took us directly to the circuit. Loads of places to buy things and inside the track there were places to eat/drink which were surprisingly reasonable. Seating area and staff were great. From tribune N there was a great view, we were opposite the VIP stand and I would think they only better than was stand K which was to the right opposite us. Once the race was finished, the staff again were. Dry good at crowd control and given direction. Brilliant day

Expectations versus reality

advice first customers to bring goggle, a rainjacket, walkable boots for the quite long walking ways now and then, the website for the bus transport in Monaco. Good places to get food or have a view from would be great.

Great first GP experience in Monaco

This was my first time using book F1. I found them very informative regarding the tickets and all other aspects about the weekend such as access, transport etc. Food at the track was very reasonable, toilets were a bit grim!

Monaco Grand Prix

What a fantastic experience i surprised my husband for his 50th birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Looking back we would have preferred tribune K4 but having never been to a grand Prix before I had no idea about track positions. We were in tribune N which was very good. Facilities and food prices very reasonable. The after party was fantastic drinks only 5 euro's each on the track.

Wonderful experience total 4 star

We were a little further form the wide screen than expected. Without binoculars we had problems following all details in the race. Also the seats were hard, and we would recommend others to bring something to sit on. But apart from that, a spectacular experience.

Great and (relatively) cheap tickets

We had a great view of the circuit and harbor and the big screen wasn't that far away. Monaco is an amazing location for the Formula 1. We received our tickets 3 weeks prior the event! I would definitely recommend this to anybody.

Fabulous Grand Prix experience

Just returned from a short 5 day cruise on Azamara Journey which included a stop in Monaco. I had booked tickets independently through bookF1.com - the whole process was easy :). The tickets came in good time and the instructions were clear. The day of the Grand Prix was amazing: fantastic atmosphere walking through the town, lots to see and do and buy!! easy access to Tribune N with plentiful toilets and food outlets (prices were very reasonable). Great view of the stretch of track in front of the swimming pool and we had the huge luxury yachts behind us (which afforded some great people watching). Brilliant experience - apart from the result :(

Date provisoire

Billets enfants

Children aged between 6 to 15 years old are entitled to free General Admission or Grandstand entrance on Thursday (a ticket is still required) and a 50% discount on ticket prices for the Saturday and Sunday. Please note that this is not applicable for hospitality packages.

The organisers ask that spectators do not bring children aged 5 and under because of the high noise levels. However, at parent's discretion, children aged 5 and under can enter grandstands free of charge without a ticket if they sit on a parent's lap.

Identification may be required on the day for child ticket entry.

Billets mobilité réduite

A wheelchair-accessible area at the circuit is managed directly by l'Association monégasque des handicapés moteurs. Please contact us if you require more information. The association has advised they expect passes for this area to be available from January 2020.

infos supplémentaires

All tickets for the Monaco Grand Prix are available for individual days (Thu, Sat or Sun) and grandstand tickets can also be bought as two-day (Sat-Sun) or three-day (Thu-Sat-Sun) packages. There is no Formula 1 track activity on Friday 22nd May and access to the venue is free.

Tribune L Low is located in rows A-D, Tribune O Low are rows A-J and Tribune T Low are rows A-M - all other rows in these stands are classified as High. Please be aware that views from lower rows are more likely to include safety fencing. Tribunes L High and T High have views into certain areas of the pits. Unlike previous years, Grandstand K is not split into High and Low rows. The organisers have advised this is due to the increased attractiveness of lower rows following improvements to the port.

Pit Walk

As in previous years, a pit walk will take place on Friday afternoon. This will be available for customers who have booked 2 or 3 day tickets in the same grandstand. These ticket holders will receive "pit access" tickets automatically with their tickets.

General Admission

The 'Le Rocher' General Admission area offers hillside viewing and the natural rough and in some places steep terrain may not suit all spectators. We recommend arriving early in Le Rocher to get the best viewing experience as the area can become very crowded particularly on Sunday.

Gold and Silver Packages

A limited number of Gold and Silver tickets are available in select grandstands and offer spectators access to privileged seating areas within their chosen grandstand. Fans that purchase Gold and Silver tickets as part of two-day (Sat-Sun) or three-day (Thu-Sat-Sun) packages will also be eligible for additional benefits, namely pit walk access and a piece of merchandise. Please click on each package to see what's included.
