The General Admission area is situated North of the circuit, and has views of the Remus corner and the Raunch corner, as well as the third straight. This area is quite hilly, so viewers are advised to wear comfortable footwear, although the incredible views of the track and the surrounding areas are well worth the walk!

Great weekend, great weather

Tickets arrived on time, purchased general admission. Great view of track, remember to use free shuttle bus from just north of fanzone up to green zone, otherwise long but lovely walk. Stayed in Fohnsdorf. Close by and traffic not an issue.

Superb venue

The weekend was fabulous, it was unfortunate the weather was so hot, this curtailed time we would have spent a the circuit by several hours over the weekend as there was no shade available. We were unable to find water top ups. The atmosphere and race were great and the organisation was exceptional.

Very hot, but good visibility

Green zone (GA) , It was 38 degrees , full sun all day, so you have to go prepared. Very good view , alot of space to find your best spot. Great show before the race and a full days programe. 4 races on the day including the F1 race. Good event!

Excellent weekend

This was my 1st visit to last weekends Austrian Grand Prix and from my experience of attending it, it won’t be my last visit. Free parking close to the track that was well marshalled to eliminate delay, my only gripe was that if you were in a certain field you were left with a much longer drive back to the S36 motorway. General admission views were excellent of the main 2 overtaking straights. It did appear to me that if you aren’t from the Netherlands then you cannot get in any of the stands as these seemed only for Max Verstappen’s army of supporters. Even still an excellent weekend of racing just a shame it was so hot.

Best Weekend!! Great atmosphere:)

We have been to Japan, Italy, Abu Dhabi and now Austria. I have to say that Austria is my favourite, all the staff so helpful, the location is incredible, easy access and just a brilliant atmosphere!! Would love to go again next year!

A true racing circuit

If you are looking for a full weekend to take in the atmosphere of Formula One this is the European circuit to go to. Everything about the weekend is superb from the facilities, entrance in and out of the arena through to the race track itself. The vantage point for general tickets is excellent and we had a really good view of the race. We will definitely be back!

My first European Grand Prix - Austria

It was a great race and getting to the track (while taking ages) was well worth it. Terrific atmosphere and beautiful Austrian countryside. My only gripe was the irresponsibility of not providing basic room temperature water to all of us fans in the sweltering 37 degree heat. Instead we were expected to pay 3€ per 500ml bottle of still water by which come race time they completely ran out of. To me it was pretty unacceptable and actually posed a health risk. At the end of the race we even saw someone get taken away in an ambulance. When I went to the Australian Grand Prix in March there were several stalls offering free tap water so we could fill up our bottles and was very disappointed to not see Austria have the same in even greater heat and no real shaded tents in the General admission section.

Worst experience ever, definitely not going back to Austria F1race

Worst experience ever,on race day only one car park, miles away of walking to get to the track, only got one entrance and exit so had to go all the way around the track under 35 degrees c,no water provided from staff, actually for half of liter of water it was 3.50 €,an absolute joke, Organization is insistent,no signs or anything like that,on a Friday where access is free to everyone everywhere, been denied to get to stands as according to the staff it was full, when you could clearly see that there was plenty of space. In a race day staff didn't allowed us to stay on the grass to watch the race as 'it was for yellow tickets only' on the grass!!! Really upsetting that only because you buy a green ticket you are classified as someone who has got no right at all at the venue. Staff English so poor too. Least but not least at the end of the race when in every track they open the gates to let people through the race track it doesn't happen in Austria as they only open the gates for the verstappen stand, again as if because I had the green ticket I didn't have no value to them but I travelled all the way to Austria and spent money all over not only on the track venue, Also not letting me through the gates and on the track I had to go all the way around again to get to the car park that was miles away. Been to Monza few years ago and is so much better organized, got access to all different area at the Friday and all gates were open after the race allowing everyone to go for a track walk.really not coming back here and really not recommend anyone to come you will be ripped off and event is so so poor.

Austrian GP - Fabulous!

The Austrian GP was fantastic. We drove to the circuit and all roads were clearly signposted, there were police and officials directing traffic and on the Fri and sat it was quick and easy getting into the circuit to park. Race day was slightly busier but once again the organisation was brilliant and didn't take long getting in and out of the circuit. We opted for General Admission tickets and had a good view of the track and a large screen. The views are stunning, the circuit itself is great and well organised.

Amazing Experience!

Had a great time. Purchased my ticket last minute but luckily had no issues! Getting to Red Bull Ring was a bit hectic but if you follow the crowd you're golden (From Graz - take the train to Knittlefeld then the free shuttle bus to RBR). Wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella/sunscreen if it will be sunny! Overall a great experience and I would love to do it again

Fantastic race weekend

Having been to a few grand prix the Austrian really is the best for a General Admission ticket. You can see almost the whole track from the general admission areas - great to sit and watch all the proceedings over the weekend. Plenty of food and drink stalls. We stayed in pink camping which was fine, although pretty much everyone is pitched on a hill and in close proximity to the "max verstappen village" playing techno until late, so don't expect to get much sleep before the early hours. Great facilities though with food and showers without any queuing. Only slight negative was the lack of any free drinking water, either at the circuit or particularly in the camping area (just 'non drinkable' water). This means if you don't bring your own you have to pay at least 2/3 euros for every 500ml bottle. On a boiling hot weekend this can get fairly pricey.

Best experience of our lives

Walked a lot but had plenty to see along the way. Maybe more ladies toilets would be nice. Other wise it was great, air show and races before the actual race very entertaining.

Austria 2018

Had a great time on the general admission ticket. Got there early and had a great spot at turn 3 (hairpin at top of hill). Good free transport to and from the circuit from Knittelfeld station. Good availability of food and refreshments and a screen halfway along the straight.

Great weekend

Everything was all right from beginning, not too many traffic jams. We were little affraid of this, cause we came from hotel some 90km. Whole Sunday was organized very well. Fantastic view from the general admission place, nearly whole track. Spielberg is short track but really fast. On the flat track you can see only your part, but this one is in the mountains, so you have really good view, plus there are big screens everywhere. We will definitely go again next year.

Perfect weekend in great location

The weekend was perfect as there were a lot of things to do in the fan zone or camping as there you would prefer to stay in order to feel the spirit of the event, The place itself and the weather suited perfectly. It was not too hot but sunny enough in a Spielberg valley surrounded by beautiful Alps. Merchandise in original F1 store a bit overpriced but there is a choice to buy it cheaper and not from the original store as there are plenty of stands on the camping site selling anything you like. There were plenty of food serving points which were not too expensive. One thing you have to be aware of is this cashless card system - you buy a card and top up and it's the only way you can pay for food or drinks. And you have to be cautious as there been instances when ether system fail and you get charged totally different (bigger) amount than you were supposed to or due to cheeky employees trying to screw you over. Definitely recommend it and if have a chance will do it one more time.
