Sun, crazy dutch fans, and german levels of organisation!

A brilliant race to attend - i can't recommend it enough. Having been to Spa, Monza, Silverstone, Hungaroring, Le Castellet and Barcelona, this is the best organised race in Europe. We flew into Vienna (two hours ish from Heathrow) then hired a car. Its about a two hour drive if you take it easy, roads are quiet and its well signposted. The camping is right next to the circuit (we were in Camping Red), maybe 5 minutes walk to the gate. There are food stalls and clothing stalls on site, but not much choice in terms of variance - its sausage and chips! A few pop up bars as well which adds to the atmosphere. The is also a small supermarket on site, although we didn't use it, it was apparently very sensibly priced . Camping ground is a nice soft field, so easy to pitch up. Toilets were acceptable, although showers were cold! We were in Redbull Tribune Section K. This was a great spot. Good view of exit on turn one, full view of turn two, and good view of turns five, six and seven. With it being a short circuit, you see a lot of action. Commentary is split between english and german, and the screens are plentiful even in general admission. The commentary is also broadcast on 93fm i think. We never once queued to get in -security is there, but unobtrusive. Despite what the sign says, there was no issue with taking beer into the track. Pitwalk on Thursday was the only failure of the weekend- no-one seemed to know what was going on, so we gave up on that and just enjoyed the weather and the view from the pit straight. Most important bits: Beer cost - pint of Heineken was 4.80 euros food cost - tray of chips was 4.00 euros schnitzel burger and chips was 8.50 euros Things to take: seat pad - seats get very hot, and are hard plastic. earplugs for the campsite - the techno stopped about 5am, started about 7am. brolly - weather is changeable, but the sun is brutal and there is little shade. Go - you wont regret it.

Awesome atmosphere 2019 Austrian F1 GP

We made an error by staying in Graz and catching train to pick up free shuttlebus but it would have been far easier to have stayed in accommodation in Vienna and caught a train through from there. Graz was a let down with not much to do & many bars closed and not showing F1 on Sky or any tv. Vienna was lively and buzzing so we know where to go next time. Also direct flights from Manchester to Vienna with Austrian airlines.

Ticket arrangement very good. Easy to choose grandstand.

One problem for me was the grandstands position before buy tickets. This RedBull Circuit relief was very hard to walk RedBull-grandstand. I´m 100% invalid without wheelchair (aorta problem). Can i by F1-race ticket to invalid-grandstand? I have valid invalid card,

Excellent Weekend

Don't ever think that the Austrian Grand Prix is a boring one to attend. The atmosphere and vibe was fantastic, better than at Spa. It is set in a picturesque landscape. The track itself is interesting even though it is a short track. Our seats were great as we could probably got to see about 60 % of the track from our Red Bull Stand JK. The process of ordering and receiving our tickets was effortless and efficient. It is now the second time that we have ordered through bookf1.com and both times we received exactly what we requested. We will definitely be using bookf1.com again as soon as possible. Facilities were clean. Toilets and parking was free. Parking was easy to access and we never even queued to get into the area. It was also close to the entrance. There were plenty of food stalls with a cashless system of loading credit onto a card, but we didn't even use it as we took our own food and water along. We were very impressed with everything.

Austrian F1 GP

Great race. Bought tickets for race day only, then date changed, no problem with bookF1 as they gave the option for refund or change. I will bullet point the review. 1. The tickets are only sent out shortly before the event, unlike the U.K. One which are sent out months before, don't panic. 2.Due road closures do not but the race venue into the satnav, put in the nearest town and follow the signs/Traffic queue. 3. The venue uses a cashless system for its stalls, go to the cash kiosk, plenty about, purchase a 'Spielberg Card', €3 deposit and put your cash on it, then use it like a debit card if it runs out put some more on, a point of a palaver but it works, just don't expect to get to the till with your snittzle burger and wedges and expect to pay cash or contactless!!! 4. One of the most scenic race courses, easy to get in and out of, as you have to walk about a mile between the car park and venue. I would use bookF1 again definitely.

Red Bull Ring Rocks!!

First and foremost, an excellent service yet again from 'book F1'. We enjoyed every moment of our recent visit to the Red Bull Ring and would highly recommend the Red Bull Tribune (sector J - High). The view of the circuit was first class and from our seats we could see approximately 65% of the action and there was a screen to view the other 35% right in front of us. Whilst access to the circuit car parking which we discovered was free of charge was well sign posted, the car park we were parked in (car park 11) was a good 30 minutes (pleasant) walk to the the stand. Facilities at track side were clean and plentiful but lacked variety in the food stakes. Finally, and whilst we were in no mad rush to get away from the circuit, it appeared the organisers and indeed the local police had good control over traffic management. On a final final note, the Red Bull Ring is possibly set in the most stunning scenery and if you have never been before to this part of the world, it is almost certainly worth a trip. But remember. book your tickets through 'book F1'.

Only attended race day and thoroughly enjoyed the race.

Disappointed in NOT being allowed to park in blue car park near to our grandstand. I have a heart problem and the walk (about 3 miles from car park up steep gradients to the circuit was too much) The race and the location of the circuit is first class.

The Hills are Alive with Racing

Had a fantastic weekend at the Red Bull Ring. The view was great from the Red Bull Stand - at least two thirds of the circuit in view, the surrounding scenery is majestic. The weather was either very hot or wet, but the rain made for great entertainment. Traffic management was really good with parking in fields around the circuit. We were on the autobahn to Graz in less than 30 minutes from the race finishing. If you are in the blue zone leave the S36 at Zeltweg West (near the village of Aichdorf) and follow the traffic directions. You will get within about 500 metres of the circuit entrance. Other parking spots can involve much longer walks. Circuit food is the usual high price. If you like various forms of Wurst on a bun, you'll have no problem, otherwise the choice is pretty limited. Remember the circuit is on the side of a pretty steep hill so be prepared for some stiff climbs. Finally, we enjoyed our long weekend here, well worth a visit.

Awesome F1 weekend

Fabulous area to watch the racing at the Red Bull ring as you can see 4 areas of track easily from here. It would have been useful to have had info on the additional extras that are available with the ticket, as had we been aware of the Thursday night pit lane walk, I would have got here sooner!! Word of warning - you'd better like Red Bull drinks, or take your own! Also, if you're a non-smoker/asthma sufferer, be aware that EVERYONE SMOKES at the Grand Prix! Great time watching all the GP2 and GP3 action, stunt planes and buying merchandise too, will come again, maybe staying in the camping area so we can enjoy the beer!!!

Langer Weg. Keine Toilette für Frauen. Lange Wartezeiten für Dusche (nur Männer) Wilder Westen in der Nacht. Laute Musik bis 4 Uhr früh. Häufiger Stromausfall.

Austria re-visited

I last went to the old A1 ring in 2002 and it was good then. Its even better now its had a refurb and has been a regrettable absence from the calendar. Red Bull grandstand has views not only from the pit lane exit all the way up the hill to T2, but also unimpeded views of the central section. The amount of tarmac I can see is my prime objective when I chose a grandstand and this one was the best by far of all the circuits I've been to over the years. And the seats are not expensive. I'd recommend them to anyone. Support race programme very good, but the pre-race entertainment was even better. A 15 minute Red Bull stunt plane show plus other older aircraft and modern Eurofighters on fly past. Brilliant entertainment. The only gripe I have is that it took us over 2 hours to exit the circuit on race day. We were on a coach with GMS and just sat there immobile and gridlocked for ages. Hope Bernie gets to find out so he can insist on what he made the BRDC do to Silverstone's infrastructure to improve it or lose the race - which would be a great shame. A sell out 100,000 people at the circuit on race day. Gen Admission, which is very extensive and has brilliant views looking down the hill over the circuit, was packed. So if you are intending to go next year whether that be a grandstand or Gen Ad, book early to avoid disappointment.
