Cose da Fare

Buda Castle

The historical castle and palace complex of Hungarian kings. Originally constructed in 1265, the Baroque palace that occupies most of the site today was built around 1749-1769. Buda Castle now houses the Hungarian National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum.

Szu00E9chenyi Medicinal Bath

The largest medicinal bath in Europe. Its water is supplied by two thermal springs at temperatures of 74 and 77 degrees centigrade.

Heroes' Square

One of the major squares in Budapest, it is well-known for its iconic statues, featuring the Seven chieftains of the Magyars and other important Hungarian national leaders. The Memorial Stone of heroes is also found here, which is also known as the Tomb of the Unknown soldier. The square hosts the Museum of Fine Arts and has played an important part in contemporary Hungarian history and has been a host to many political events.

Central Market Hall

Located at the end of the famous pedestrian shopping street Vu00E1ci utca, the Central market Hall is the oldest and largest indoor market in Budapest. Groceries, souvenirs, spices and wines can be found here, as well as many specialised fishmongers, butchers and eateries.

The average temperature in Budapest during July is very warm, at around 28 degrees centigrade. Overnight temperatures can feel chilly at around 16 degrees centigrade, so light layers is recommended for evenings. Although July falls in the Hungarian summertime, there is always a small chance of rainfall. We therefore recommend packing waterproof clothing just in case!
