Descrizione

The first of the three stands on the inside of the circuit approaching the famous First Chicane of Monza, Grandstand 6a is in front of the start finish straight and the entrance to the first chicane.

What can I see?

These seats offer a fine view of the first hard breaking zone at Monza. It's also the end of the first DRS zone of the lap, where cars within one second of another car can activate the DRS, making the car aerodynamically faster than it's rival - so you can expect to see the results of overtaking and lapping as they enter the chicane. With the cars bunched up in the tight chicane at the start of the race, it can make the opening laps eventful.

What do I get with my ticket?

Alta Velocita 6a is reserved seating on Saturday and Sunday. The circuit operate a roving policy on Friday 4th September, giving you roaming access to all general admission areas and grandstands (with the exception of Centrale). All 3-Day tickets will have access to the Thursday Pit Lane Walk, subject to confirmation.

Must-do

Great weekend and a great venue for a race. Seen Monza get a bit of stick for not being too modern but you wouldn’t know. Only bad part was our ‘seats’ in grandstand, just bleachers and not particularly comfy but everything else was perfect. Went to Paul Ricard in 2018, this was a million times better from start to finish

Great view but badly organised circuit

The first chicane is certainly the best spot, so much action here! The grandstand on the inside of the track is amazing, however getting to the outside of the track version is a nightmare, you have to go though the campsite and leave the circuit just to get into the grandstand then again on the way back to the rest of the track/ fanzone. The toilets are horrendous so drinking less and holding your pee longer is advisable for women, the guys just go in the bushes. They have a token system for food/drinks so you have to queue to pay and they give you a token then you queue to collect your food and drinks which are all separate queues.

Great track action, lackluster experience

This was my fourth GP; Austin, Monaco, and Belgium the others. I’ve also attended a number of other sporting events but Monza is by far the most perplexing experience. Hopefully with the recent contract negotiations, Liberty will force the promoter to spend more money. Good: Views from 6A were excellent, and the on track action is excellent. Hence my four stars. But I would not attend again. Book F1 did an excellent job with ticket, information etc. Would definitely buy from them again. Bad: Everything about Monza except the view/racing. transit to/from the track is awful. took three hours on Saturday morning at 9AM. By Sunday post-race eve, we got better at the system and what worked, but this was STRESSFUL for being a fan who came to enjoy the Temple of Speed. I don’t know how much more research we could have done on this, but they need to reconsider as a track what they’re doing here and if they can improve. be ready to WALK. The shuttles from the Monza station drop you off 0.8mi from the entrance, then it’s another 1mi. walk to your seats, but good luck finding them, because the signage may or may not include your grandstand and the walkways are not intuitive. they block off many of the roads in the middle of the park to make peds walk 100m around in the mud, while no-one uses the street. On other walking paths they let all the vendors drive their cars and motor bikes everywhere so you think you’re going to get hit the entire time. In Belgium i maybe saw a single golf cart the entire weekend unsung a pedestrian walkway. Tunnels are poorly marked but essential to get around. no gravel or concrete in many areas (hope it doesn’t rain!) When entering the track they made us toss our expensive hydro flask water bottles. No where in any information did it say you cannot bring these. However they let people bring in the flag poles. you cannot even bring in a plastic water bottle unless you toss the cap in the trash; seriously, WTF?! Same goes if you buy a bottle in the track. Beer i get, but water? This is all in the name of safety. Here’s a thought, in the name of safety, don’t let the all the smokers light up like chimneys IN THE STANDS the entire race and 2nd hand smoke everybody. I am just perplexed how it’s socially acceptable to do this in Europe or elsewhere. Limited food stands, lines sometimes 75-100 people long, but wait, you stand in the line first to get the tokens, to stand in a second to order the food; why? A week previously in belgium, the promoter had this nailed flawlessly with tons of food, a ticket system, and very limited lines. Bathroom lines may get long, and be ready to see all the men just pee in the trees, everywhere on the side of the path. By Sunday afternoon the trash had piled up so high and not been cleaned, i thought this was Fyre festival 2.0 or woodstock. There is no security in the stands, so many of the italians just stand at the rail (and smoke) during quali and the race so the people who had tickets in the first three rows cannot see - even when asked to move. The final kicker was the denial of fans into the FanZone because they only had GA tickets. i don’t know if this was supposed to happen, but why would you deny fans into the FanZone. I could probably find more, but this should be enough. If you want to attend and have a good time, shell out the $$$ for paddock club and transit to/from the track - seriously. For a company like Liberty who wants to enhance the fan experience, they need to put the screws on Monza, this was not it.

Great racing, average facilities

Food and service at venue was very average. No loo paper for the ladies & men just pee off to the side anywhere! Shuttle transfers from track to train station a nightmare as bus doesn’t pick up in same area as drop off, really difficult if you have a limited understanding of Italian language. No checking of bus or train tickets so probs can get away without paying. On the good side the crowds are great, atmosphere is awesome and hey - it’s F1 racing on an excellent track!

First trip to Monza

Absolutely amazing experience for our first time at Monza. We sat in Alta Velocita where we saw almost every overtake of the Grand Prix right at the end of the main straight on the first corner. The atmosphere was electric and being one of the handful of Lewis fans was sometimes scary with all the Ferrari fans chanting and cheering around me. The track invasion at the end was something I’ll never forget, unreal atmosphere compared to Silverstone where I have been a numerous of times. To see Lewis win in Ferrari’s home land was the icing on the cake. Truly a race I will never forget.

Lotsa walking....

Purchased a ticket in grandstand '6A' at the end of pit straight for the weekend. Attended the Thursday "pit-walk" and was almost crushed in the crowd near the barricade when Dan Ricciardo approached (c'mon people, really??). The facilities at Monza are quite good with plenty of food stalls, bars and toilet areas. The only issue with the shuttle bus service to the track is that it drops passengers at the south end of Monza Park; around 2-3km from the actual entrance to the circuit. You then walk this distance along a perfectly good, wide paved road that the buses would be able to travel along easily, dropping spectators much nearer the gates and leaving via one of the western exits. I'm not sure why this isn't done..... The food and drink stalls just outside the entrance gates also present better value than those inside. Te general admission area along the back straight before the parabolica is a good viewing spot although it could use a large screen (as could most GA areas at F1 circuits). The view from stand 6A was very good with everyone remaining seated during the race so no one couldn't see (-bravo to the folks in this area!)

Monza

The Saturday was sadly a washout with Qualifying eventually taking place late in the day after numerous 15 min delays. Sunday was brilliant, Grandstand position was very good, although the actual seat was just metal, you need a cushion pad. The facilities at the circuit are not ver good, loo's poor and not enough refreshment vendors.

Great Grand Prix

Seating was perfect. Italians aren't very organised. I have been to the Hungarian and Belgium grand prix which were organised to a higher level. Not enough staff at the gates to allow fast access, this resulted in long queues. Atmosphere was good. Definitely recommend as it's a must for any F1 fan.

Monza

We drove to circuit and it was very easy. Was able to park in residential streets 15 min walk from circuit in Biassono village. Seats were high up with to directly opposite us,on the 200 marker point before first corner. The only problem was people in rows in front kept on standing up when it wasn't necessary. Don't buy tickets in grandstand opposite pits. We went there on th Friday and the leg room is joke. Barely enough to sit down and forget letting people past to get to their seats. Overall great experience if race was a bit quiet.

Hi My son and I had a fabulous weekend and everything went smoothly. My one comment was that it was a long way to walk and bus in from the Monza parking. Only minor comment

Monza race and walking

The level of customer service when getting the tickets was brilliant. They were delivered safely to specified address. The access to the circuit was done by train and that was perfect. The access to the seats is a different story as we walked 4 km to get from train to seats. The map provided with the tickets was helpful but the facilities were missing signs. Overall amazing experience and a good workout.

Get your walking boots ready for Saturday

It appears the event organisers still insist on making Saturday race goers walk 2-3 km from the point you are dropped off, to the entrance of the circuit. You expect to do a lot of walking on race day, but many first timers were shocked at having this added on at the start and end of their days. Not all of these paths are tarmaced so could get interesting if it rains. Facilities are poor (not a proper toilet block in site), and are not maintained during the weekend. Take your own tissue and hand sanitiser if you get caught short! ...but you can't beat the Tifosi atmosphere!

Love Monza but poor enough race this year. Watch out there's no atm machine at the circuit and we were stuck with no cash. Alta velocita is great seating area. Chaos getting the black line after the race. My advice wait a while before leaving and enjoy a 7 euro beer!
