F1 Monza

The weekend and the race was great, it’s one which had to be ticked of my list. But the venue and the organisation let me down badly, the grandstand seats are poor for the price you pay, way not enough toilets and rarely ( if any ) cleaned. Not enough food and drinks selling points, you had to buy a token for food from the Heineken stand with only 1 register, so big queues and long waiting times. The pitwalk and the drivers autograph session was at exactly the same time, so do the one and miss the other. For an international event like this there’s lack of people speaking English. The vendors on the grandstands walked on the seats and they are ripping you off by charging more than advertised, sometimes even doubled the price. The race comment during the race lacked English, Martin Brundle spoke every now and then. The public transport on Thursday and Friday was bad, no extra busses, no signs at the train station and again lack of people speaking English. The public transport on Saturday and Sunday was ok and signs were placed at the train station. Monza has signed for another 5 years, they should really work on improving the grandstands, and organise the happening better. As for BookF1 you communicate well and give plenty advise, my next gp will be booked through your organisation.

An Aussie’s 2019 Monza Experience

Overall I enjoyed my Monza experience. The racing itself lived up to expectations, it’s exhilarating to see these F1 cars at top speed at this track, and the grandstand seats we purchased at 26A Lateral Destera were really good, great view of all the action on the main straight. The biggest downside across the weekend was really the overall organisation of the event. In Australia we’d say they “couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery”. Massive lines for toilets, bars and food all weekend, which really could have been avoided with much more efficient operational procedures for the food and beverage suppliers, and then the quality of the food and beer was pretty inconsistent. As a Ricciardo fan, was also disappointed that Renault did not have their own team merchandise stand, and the other official stands were only selling Hulkenberg hats. Given the proximity of France to Italy I though this was staggering for such a high profile team. And while on Merch, there is actually no official Monza Merch available save for a handful of pretty ordinary red tees and caps, you’d reckon this would be a great money spinner for them? The bus transfers were a bit chaotic but actually moved quite quickly save for a very long queue at the track after the race on Sunday. My main tips would be: buy your metro and Monza train tickets ahead of time so you don’t end up in a long line on race days and miss your trains. Allow plenty of time to get to and from the track - we stayed near Lima Station in Milan and it took us 2.5hours from leaving to walking in the event gates and that was with a well planned route! If you are eating, perhaps consider eating early or late to avoid peak times. Probably not a race I would go back to, but very happy to experience it and especially with a Ferrari victory

Disappointing

The transport to track worked on Friday & Saturday, although when we arrived at bag search area 4 people with wand scan us & 4 people to do bag checks so queues we huge & took bottle tops off our soft drinks & water why ? Food outlet very poor section & had to queue separatly for chips, burger etc & no translation everything in Italian so gave the impression they dont want overseas visitors. Fan zone was poor 1 DJ, a simulator, mercedes display that was it, Sunday trains left to Biassono station again no more people on gate to do searches, & had to get your ticket scaned in & out of grandstand causing more queues and was shocked when racing started that people sat on stairs all the way up the grandstand, what if a fire had started which was possible due to people smoking where's the health & safety. Queuing for train on way back was an accident waiting to happen every time a train arrived everyone started pushing and bearing in mind small children were in the queue. No one said the train was going to a differant station on way back so landed at Garabali station 3-4 km away from central station. Monza its time to look at other tracks and get organised. I have been once but wont return

La pista megica

Monza is a total classic, the noise, the speed the passion of the tiffossi makes it different, that being said, transportation to and from the circuit is a bit of a challenge, and if it rains is rather painful, be ready to do a lot of walking, once inside the circuit, buying snacks, food and drinks is a total nightmare! to buy a hotdog and one beer it took close to 45 minutes or more, that due to the fact you have to make one line to pay and then another one to get your order, rest rooms the same, long endless lines, if you are willing to overlook that, you will enjoy the racing event. Customer support from bookF1 was very good, overall I'm very satisfied buying from them and I will do so again in the future.

Fab weekend not sure I would do the free for all Thursday again but it is a must and not for the faint hearted. The walk once dropped off once you got use to it was ok but if your not fit get fit. Lol. I was amazed how many people were stopping for breath. Could do with giving water away along the walk to the circuit. Monza I love you and will be back. You will not see passion anywhere else but in Monza brought a tear to my eye.

Track Invasion a must!

Monza has been on my bucket list for a while, great track, so worth it. We went for seats on the straight and although didn't get the rows we wanted the view was ok, we were up near the back but still got a fairly good view into garages. Maybe wouldn't pick this again as not much action on the straight and at other tracks i always get front row so being so far up just felt too far away from the action. We sat at the first corner for Friday practice and this was a much better view of the track. The porta loo blocks were hit or miss and i didn't like that there was no male/female separation but at least they had toilet attendants on. Food/drink was very expensive. For a can of coke it was 5 euros and all the same food at each stand, burgers or panini's, still better choice than Spa though, they operate a ticket system, you pay for the ticket then queue and hand this over when you order. The Thursday pit walk was just chaos, just a survival of the fittest against the Tifosi, I came out bruised and crushed but with 8 autographs, so in my opinion worth it, but be prepared to stand your ground and push your way through. For me the best part was running on to the track at the end the the race and getting right under podium (had to climb a corrugated barrier once through gate to get onto track..ouch! ), AMAZING experience though. Again survival of the fittest and if you start to run onto track don't stop or you'll just get run down by those behind you. Unlike other circuits there is a high wall around the garages and so once on the track you actually cant see anything, some fans had prepared for this and brought step ladders to see in. I would definitely go back here again, the atmosphere is amazing, and I was actually quite proud of my hard earned bruises by the end of the weekend!

Monza 2015

Not the best circuit in the world but by far the best atmosphere, the Fans were amazing would definitely return just for that. Circuit a bit dated and congested in places which wasn't helped by the fact that fans could bring bicycles in.

Excellent weekend at atmospheric Monza

Our first visit to F1 Monza and it was a bit of a learning experience with regards to access to the circuit. We were there for the full three days of the Grand Prix weekend and once we discovered that we could purchase a special, return rail / bus ticket at eight euros per person from the local station, access to the circuit was not a problem - although there was a twenty minute walk from the bus drop-off point through the park to the actual circuit, which given the weather was pleasant, but might not have been so nice had it been raining heavily. Everything at the circuit was as you would expect from an F1 event, food concessionaries were plentiful, comparatively cheap and of a good standard, although queues were long. There was musical entertainment in the tented village and an excellent friendly atmosphere. Toilet facilities were a bit basic, and mostly consisted of rows of porta-loos, but there were plenty of them and they were thankfully refreshed at the end of each day. The race itself was excellent with a good view of the circuit. After the Grand Prix finished we were expecting an epic journey to get out of the circuit given the size of the crowd, but I was amazed at the efficiency of the bus network which carried the spectators out of the circuit. After watching Lewis pop the Champagne, our journey from our seat in the stand, to our hotel (we were staying in nearby Sesto San Giovanni) including walk through the park, the bus and train took just over an hour. All in all, a very memorable weekend.

Little hiccups but great track

There needed to be more decent toilet facilities by Sunday they were getting a bit grotty and on the start finish line there needed to be another couple of screens I think there was only 2 and they were at the top and the middle there was no screen at the end near the podium and the screen that was in the middle wasnt very big it needed to be larger. The food facilities that were there think they were called Speedy Food were really good well done to them.

Historic circuit, not to be missed

I was a first time visitor, a must for all F1 fans, atmosphere great, Ferrari biased (stop Bernie causing it to drop off the schedule over money). Very good train and dedicated bus links (8 euros from Milan), but 25 minute walk from drop off (on good level paths). Food choices surprisingly limited (toasted ham & cheese most prevalent, 6 euros), I took some sandwiches. TV screens available, not at Silverstone quality so a bit blurry. Circuit commentary in (very excitable) Italian, and English, overall difficult to keep track of race (no race commentary unless you have a smart phone app).

Overall very enjoyable

Taxis to & from circuit very expensive. Leave plenty of time to get into circuit as the security/check-in process is somewhat chaotic and time consuming! Everyone we met involved with the organisation of the event were friendly and helpful. Relaxed atmosphere and great fun.

brilliant trip

had amazing time, I bought these tickets for my husband for his 50th birthday. I really thought that I would be bored out of my mind but it was great fun and really interesting. We had three day pass with a pit walk, which was amazing as we watched the teams practice changing the tyres etc... I loved it and would definitely go again. I was also delighted to get my tickets weeks in advance, saving me worry they would not arrive. I would most definitely recommend bookF1.com

3rd Year best so far

Once again a great weekend found parking at stadio est best as it reduced the amount of walking and exit was speedy. Seats once again with screen in front(however a bit small for old eyes!) Food stall inside gate which meant you had small queues and could watch events on grid whilst eating.

Monza 2012

Great weather with a great view on the main straight. The only issue was I felt that on the Sunday there should have been more public transport to cope with the amount of spectators going back to Milan.

Facilities and organisation could have been much better given price paid.

Our seats were very good however there seemed to be no food and beverage provision that was between snack van (and large queues and no seats) and hospitality restaurants (pre-booked and ticket specific). So having paid £400 each we couldn't have a half decent seated and shaded lunch, snack or drink out of the blazing 35 degree heat. The free shuttle bus facility to Monza train station was a good idea, but was badly signposted and involved a 2km walk once you got on the right track. Lots of people like us couldn't find the bus park.
