Descrizione

Located at the world famous Parabolica corners, Latarale Parabolica 21c provides a view of the cars down the back straight and around the first section of the corner.

What can I see?

Located on the outside of the circuit, this grandstand gives you a view of the full breaking zone and start of the corner. From the high speed back straight to a hard breaking zone and tight corner, this is a punishing place to make a mistake, though in recent years the addition of a asphalt run-area before the gravel has made it a little more forgiving.

What do I get with my ticket?

Laterale Parabolica 21c is reserved seating on Saturday and Sunday. The circuit operate a roving policy on Friday 4th September, giving you roaming access to all general admission areas and grandstands (with the exception of Centrale). All 3-Day tickets will have access to the Thursday Pit Lane Walk, subject to confirmation.

F1 Monza - poorly organised

I went to Monza as a fresh faced F1 fan and at the end of it all I’m still a fan but it’s not down to the event organisation by any stretch of the imagination. It was down to a great atmosphere amongst fellow fans and a great if not controversial race. It was my first time in Milan and arriving at Monza station, there was no signage or stewards there to direct us to the shuttles which we knew were supposed to be there somewhere waiting on us. We followed the crowd and ended up outside where there was still no signage and no help. Most importantly there wasn’t a single shuttle in sight and by now a second train had arrived at Monza station with hundreds more fans. Slowly shuttles came but there was still no certainty as to how much it would cost. It was three shuttles before my party could get on. We eventually got to the top of the disorganised queue and found out that it was €5 return. When it was time to board the bus, again there was no queue and what proceeded were people rushing and pushing in order to make sure they get on the bus. We then arrive at the venue. You had to walk about 10 mins to the venue then cross over a junction in order to get to the first check point. Up tho this junction there are no barriers to get people into queues or to protect people from traffic. So the crowds built up and as you would expect most people go pass those already there and push their way to the front. In addition people in motorcycles and cars actually drive through the mass of people waiting to get through this security check point. On getting to the check point, there is one person checking checking if people have tickets. One person for a crowd of thousands of people. This created a bottle neck, slowed things down and made people even more impatient, pushy and aggressive. After this you then passed by two persons who made a half hearted attempt to wand people as there were too many people for them to do an effective job. The next step was a series of tables, about 6 of them where they asked people to open their bags for checks and this is what happened there: - they asked people to take off the caps of plastic water bottles citing the caps were dangerous. - they confiscated people’s chargers for their phones and other mobile devices also saying that their dangerous. - they also confiscated people’s power packs for their mobile devices citing the same reason. - they confiscated numerous other things from people like thermos flasks etc. My question is, if these things were banned, why did they not have signs saying so at various points around the venue and communicate this via email and post on the F1 site so that people aren’t caught out? And why leave it so late that you’re at the last check point before entering the venue? A fiend of mine had to leave his charger and when we came back for it in the evening it was gone. The guys at the checkpoint could not account for what had happened to it. Make of that what you will. Walking further into the venue there are always people on motorcycles or in cars driving at speeds which were not safe given the pedestrians around. Again, No barriers to separate traffic from people. You then had to scan tickets to pass through the gates to get to the stands. So now you’re in the stands and you want to get something to eat. One has to again swipe to go back through the barriers, go outside on the road and then swipe to come back in the are with the stands. The same thing applies when you need the toilets as there are only portable toilets. As for the toilets, they were atrocious, disgusting even and no water whatsoever to wash hands or hand sanitiser in the absence of water. As the days went by they grew more filthy and they were never cleaned or emptied. It got so bad that there were people peeing any and everywhere as they refused to use the toilets. I’m going to wrap up with a few points. - The food options were limited and the service poor. - Signage and general help wasn’t great. - Location of toilets and food and access to them, not well thought out. - no activities apart from the merchandise shops available when races aren’t on. - undercover police were brash and on one occasion got into an altercation with someone in the crowds when they drove through on their motorcycles without a siren or identifying themselves. - collected garbage was piled up under the stands and around the entrance to the stand. It was there for days. In my opinion, the organisation of that event needs a serious review and revamp.

Good service and communication

Front row seats at 21C Parabolica, and not the best of views due to 2 fences, higher up in the stand woould have improved the view, but again, we did not have anyone in front of us, and was easy accessable, so all in all recommended.

enjoyable but bad directions to seats

we opted to only go on the saturday and sunday even though we had 4 day seats. the e mail indicating the pit lane walk and driver signing as well as final arrangements was sent after we left South Africa so it was of no use to us at all as we couldn't access it. only saw it on our return to SA! very disappointing as we would have gone to the track! suggest that this information is included when the tickets are sent.

Historical Monza!

Monza is an iconic track and is quite an experience for the F1 fan, especially if you favour Ferrari. If I have a criticism, it's that you are made to scan your ticket each time you exit and enter your own area. Of course, you'd expect to have your tickets reviewed to ensure you're in the right stand, but you have to exit to buy food, drinks, merchandise or use a toilet. The line to leave can be huge - it can take 20 minutes to exit. Then if you buy food, drinks or merchandise you naturally wait in line again. Then 20 or so minutes to wait in line to get back in the gate. It could literally take an hour just to use a toilet. If they checked you in, and all the amenities were inside your area, you'd be okay. Also, when you first arrive, at the first security check they make you remove the cap on your drink (water bottle, juice, coke etc) and they toss the cap away! I cannot imagine why! We sat at parabolica (stand 21 C, row T (topmost row) and our view was spectacular! The cars come up fast then brake for the corner. Great view! Overall, it's fantastic to be at Monza, but they need to improve the way they check fans in to make it more fan friendly.

Excellent Weekend

Loved Monza. Having been to a number of european tracks, Monza is up there as one of the best. It doesn't however beat our experience at Spa, but a very close second. A lovely walk to the track through the forest. We parked just outside and walked in. Was actually surprised that there was hardly any traffic in and out of the journey. We did however find out that the majority of people get either the bus or the train in from the other side. So more luck by judgement. The food and drink at the track was suitably priced for a F1 event. With quite a lot of choice. All in all a good weekend just a shame hamilton didn't win.

Quite disorganised event

Booking through bookf1 I could not fault. Very efficient and helpful. The Monza organisation was not so good, not clear where to head to, even the seating wasn't that clear. The staff there were quite scatty. Fairly long walk from the bus drop off point to the actual track (25mins), I did read this however before I booked the tickets so I was quite aware of this. The view we had was fantastic, long stretch with the bend in sight, the screen was very visible on the opposite side (even though this managed to cut out numerous times!).

Excellent

Requested seats toward the back of stand, got row 22 of 23 so could see over fence all along back straight & final bend, right in front of big screen. Suggest using car parking & bus (€10p/p) all in, 20 min walk off bus to track, Excellent experience for first GP. To make the weekend complete, Suggest a visit to Ferrari Museum in Marrinello if time allows approx 2hr drive, well worth it..

Great Weekend. Shame about the Loos!

Our seating location was good and the park and ride from Parking Est was very good. 15 euros for all day parking and transfer to circuit by bus for two people. Food at circuit was good though a little expensive. There were not many WC's which made them very busy. Unfortunately they were very dirty quickly.

Nice GP

My experience was great, it was the first time, but I want to repeat next year...maybe Silverstone. The view was great, next time I will try to look for a covered place, the sun was warming too much. I recommend this GP to everyone

Good view of race, poor info on disabled transport if not in a car.

No information on disabled access, long distance from train to circuit. Missed the qualifying as unable to get on very full train with wheelchair. No reliable information given at Centrale Station on Saturday. Good view of race and good facilities.

Italian Grand Prix 2013

This was my second Grand Prix. F1 is amazing sporting experience. However I found the Italian Grand Prix chaotic. First of all it is very difficult to get someone who can tell you how to get to the circuit. Secondly once you get to Monza or Biassono there are no instructions to find your way to the circuit and you just end up following the crowd. Once you get to the actual circuit there are very poor signs for the grandstands. Food is basic and not much variety. The worst thing is small number of toilets and most of them are the portable loos. I thought that such established circuit would have better facilities. The circuit is amazing and you get to go much closer to the track that you would in Silverstone. Italian fans are crazy about the sport and they are lovely and friendly.

Great Service

train service was excellent and the shuttle bus (4 euros rtn) was very good, be prepared for a 25 - 35min walk from the drop off point through a park. seats were good and signage to locate them easy.....queuing for tickets to get food and drink was a pain in the heat but that's the only downside and not over expensive

Disappointed with Monza

Trains to Monza on Friday and Saturday were not very regular from Milan Centrale, Garibaldi turned out to be a better option. Black line bus from Monza to circuit was not free as stated and dropped you off a good 1.5mile walk to circuit. Trains and buses always overcrowded due to lack of service. Ticket barriers at the stadium were ludicrous, long queues to get into the stadium and even out would you believe as they scanned every ticket!! A very poorly organised Grand Prix by the Italians for a circuit that has been going for years.

Italian Grand Prix

Very nice facilities, clean and safe. Gate entrance and exit could be a little bit better set up so people do not bunch up trying to get in/out while trying to get ticket scanned. Some sort of cue/line would make things run a bit smoother at gates. Other than that, excellent overall.
