Latarale Sinestra 4 is to the left side of the Centrale 1 Grandstand, and has a view of the pit exit and when looking to the right, the start/finish line.
What can I see?
Situated on the start/finish straight, these seats are opposite the pit lane exit. From here you can see into the pit lane from higher rows, plus a panoramic of the main straight and DRS Zone, where cars within one second of another car can activate the DRS, making the car aerodynamically faster than it's rival. Before the race, you'll see the cars making practice starts on the pit lane exit, and at the start of the race, you'll see the cars hustle for position into the first chicane.
What do I get with my ticket?
Laterale Sinestra 4 is reserved seating on Saturday and Sunday. The circuit operate a roving policy on Friday 4th September, giving you roaming access to all general admission areas and grandstands (with the exception of Centrale). All 3-Day tickets will have access to the Thursday Pit Lane Walk, subject to confirmation.

This was our first time to Monza as having visited the Spanish Grand Prix for the last 3 years we thought we’d have a change. We picked the Laterale Sinestra stand where we had a view of front runners on the start line and of the the pit exit and the super high speed pit straight. For spectating this was pretty good but it doesn’t really compare to Barcelona where the lay out of the track there affords you views across the straight and several corners, but then Barcelona is a proper spectators track compared to Monza’s history and beauty. Getting to the track took quite a bit of getting your head around but once we’d done it once we quickly got the hang of it. There is an awful lot of walking involved no matter what route you take though so be prepared with sensible footwear. The queues to get in, security and for food and the toilets were very disorganised and it did feel like we spent hours of the weekend queuing for “something”. Especially as the Italians have a habit of queuing to pay and order and then queuing again to receive your food, great, but not when you’ve already queued for 45 minutes to pay! Other bad points are that there are in no way enough toilets, the queues for male and female were HUGE everywhere. There are no toilets within the grandstands so you have to queue to get out, walk to the loos and queue for the loo and then queue to get back in again! Same process for food and drink although there are men wandering around in the stands selling bottled beer and water at highly elevated prices, climbing over people and regularly blocking your views. You have to watch them too as we saw one try and fiddle the couple in front of us out of their correct change. Also worth noting that there are no actual seats in most of the grandstands so you are literally sitting on a concrete step so bring something soft to sit on!! Good points, the racing this year was fantastic and the views were fabulous. We also managed to get right alongside the track while the cars were getting ready on the grid so got some awesome pictures of the cars and drivers. The track invasion at the end was also just amazing to be caught up in, we didn’t get in in time form our location to get particularly close to the podium but the atmosphere was electric and we were then able to walk back to the station on the track rather than in the National Park and to get on the old historic banked circuit. It was crazy to watch the Italians literally taking boys of the track side advertising, discarded tyres and bollards away with them too! I’m really glad we did Monza for the history, the atmosphere and the racing but for me Barcelona still has my heart. This was the second time I’ve used Book F1 having used them for Silverstone a couple of years ago (usually I book direct with Circuit de Catalunia), I must say that the service and customer care we’ve had from Book F1 has been absolutely second to none and to be honest I don’t think I would now use any other company. We received our tickets in good time for the race, I had actually forgotten that they were being sent thinking that I had to download them so it was a bit of a surprise when they turned up! We were at work so I collected them from the local post office the next day. There’s days before we were due to fly to Milan I received a call on my mobile from Book F1 as they had received notification from the Post Office that my tickets hadn’t been collected and they were concerned that I hadn’t received them - this was due to an admin error at my post office and I did in fact have the tickets but I am so grateful for Book F1’s concern and attention to detail. They also provided a very extensive email with just about every piece of information you could possibly need to navigate the weekend at Monza. We are now planning for Hungary next year and Book F1 will be getting my business, I really can’t rate them highly enough.

Trains and bus connection worked very well The walk to the track is far too long. I like walking but no-one should be expected to walk this far between the bus drop off and the stands. On the Saturday it took as 1 hour to get through the security checkpoint- not enough people checking bags- the wait was totally unacceptable considering how much we paid for tickets and we missed the GP3 race we had planned to see. Inside the gates it is chaos- toilets randomly placed and not enough of them. Not enough food outlets so the queues were so long we decided not to bother. The guys selling drinks in the stands decided to put up the prices on Sunday- over and above the listed prices and all selling at different prices. We found the loud music very annoying and generally unnecessary- sometimes playing over the commentary. The Italian commentator continually spine over the drivers on the radio. If any other race track in the world hosted an F1 event so chaotically they would lose the opportunity. Silverstone has to spend millions after a bit of mud caused some queues. In summary- I would not recommend Monza to someone wanting to attend an F 1 event - we will go somewhere else next year!

Service from Book F1 was excellent. Prompt replies to queries and easy to use booking process. Hooked on F1 now. Like many I think the organisers at the Monza track could have organised the crowds and food stalls better. But overall an amazing day. Will definitely be attending another F1 event.

Had a brilliant weekend at Monza, my first f1 experience (weather for qualifying was horrendous!!) We had great "covered" seats on the back row of stand 4 and was able to see the cars pulling out of the pits in practice as well as during the race :) A really good view of the start and the straight and was able to see the finish line although it was further away. We stayed in Milan and got "Promotion" tickets for transport for 6.50 Euros which covered all 3 days, these were open tickets for trains and busses for the whole weekend. these could be used in the city and to get to Monza.

Book F1 was great to work with and very helpful. Their delivery was excellent as was the follow up. I wouldn't hesitate to buy through them again. They procured the seats I asked for. The directions and explanations were spot on. The package was professional and the staff was courteous. Monza is a very historical venue and I bathed in the memories that it has provided over the years. The race this year wasn't very exciting, but that is a function of the current rules by F1 and FIA management. They need to take away aero and the hybrid, which makes it more of a video game with fuel and tire management. Passing would be possible without the artificial DRS. I realize that it is a show, but the real race fans live for competition. Nevertheless, it is F1 and is the pinnacle of racing so for that I enjoyed being there and joining the excitement of the Tifosi. I give Book F1 5 stars, but the race only 3, so that is why my rating is 4. One of the biggest cheers was when the normally aspirated 2 seater (a Minardi I think) went around the track. The scream from the engine reminded me and the other 185,000 others attending of what F1 could be for the fans. It was the only time I needed to cover my ears. Even the F2 and F3 races were more competitive and a good blueprint for what F1 could be. The FIA should balance the exclusivity and the premier content of F1 with the wish of the fans for the ambience of sound, smell and speed. I had a good time, but hope that feedback such as mine and the F1 surveys are listened to by the FIA, FOTA and the new management.

Great race seats. Excellent service from bookf1.com. Stayed in Milan. Thursday thru Saturday...getting to the race track requires trains to buses to then a long walk to the race track. Sunday the special trains cut out the need for the bus connection. ** if anyone has issues with walking long distances - Monza may not be the best choice for seeing an F1 race. Best advice - wear good walking shoes They do allow backpacks...highly recommend you bring your own food as the lines for getting food and drinks are long and slow. They will not allow any glass containers or any large bottles of liquids. You can buy beer, Coke, and water from guys walking the stands if you do not want to wait in the long beverage stand lines. Overall an enjoyable time...even when it rained on Saturday.

Not the best GP to visit, hospitality (beer) tents few and far between so large queues with little regard to customer service and not very well organised. Seats ok (laterals Sinistra) but not the circuit views you get on other more open circuits. Not too impressed with MONZA on the whole. Ticket service was all good, arrived in time etc.

Service and race information provided by Book F1 was excellent. From previous experience, we suggest that getting the train to and from Biassono-Lesmo station is better than Monza as the free trains on Sunday start at Biassono so you always get a seat. Grand Prix security and crowd control at the station is really well organised by local police. Loads of toilet facilities around the track but recommend taking your own paper on Sunday as it has invariably run out. Food acceptable price but take plenty of water/fluid as this is premium price. Overall really good value for money race. Also many stands only concrete seating so you need to take a cushion!

It was my first time attending an F1 race. Our seats Laterale Sinistra (4), row J seats 55 & 56 were central in our stand, almost directly opposite a screen (which is definitely required) and 3/4 the way up the grandstand. It was better to be higher up to see more on the track in front but also up and down the track. We were also almost opposite the exit to the pit so we saw lots of action coming out of there as well as being just past the start line meaning we could see the grid girls, set up, and the very start of each race. The seats were concrete slabs so you might want to bring a cushion, or pay for one from the merchandise stand for 7EU. Our stand was undercover which was great as it was very hot and this saved us! There weren't enough portaloos for the number of people attending the race meet. You can take in your own food and drinks, our bags were never checked. We recommend packing a picnic with some ice bricks to keep your drinks cool! We recommend taking a lanyard as you need to show your ticket quite frequently. There was no musical entertainment (besides the Italian national anthem) and the only other entertainment was a aeroplane display before the final race - other F1 races have brilliant live music so this was disappointing. The track itself is based in the top / north end of the very large Monza park. From the track entrance to the Monza city centre is 1 hr walk. There is a free shuttle from the Monza train station but this only drops you part way into the park, meaning there is still a 20-25min walk from where the bus stops to the entrance. You can also get the 221 local Monza bus but you need to pay for this - this was full every morning so you had to get up VERY early to get on board. We ended up getting an Uber / Taxi each morning for 20-25EU and walked home each day (the park is lovely and has a brilliant pond with ducks and turtles). After the final race and award ceremony we walked around the track and this took about 1 hour to complete. Monza itself is a nice little town and if you have half day spare it could easily be spent here. Also Lake Como is just a 45min train ride (3.60EU) and is totally worth a day trip or longer!

Great weekend, circuit is very dated, toilets are not the best especially for ladies. Expect to do lots of walking, you can't park at the track, we went.by car and had to park a long way from the track then get a shuttle bus in then walk for about 30mins On race day lots of the roads were blocked off. Leaving the track with vehicles and pedestrians using the same road not ideal. It was a good view from where we were sitting at the back on our stand. The atmosphere at the track at the end is brilliant you are let on the track for the presentation. Some of my comments are negative but all in all it was a day I will remember.

The overall trip was good , however the infrastructure and the transportation system was horrendous. Overpacked public transport , very rude officials , long walks , long waits , seriously dangerous overcrowding of buses and trains . No signs or help anywhere , overall view of the Italian Grand Prix is go somewhere different !

The only bad thing about the weekend was the was the way in which you had to get food. You have to queue up to pay for your food then you have to queue up again to pick up your food... Doesn't really make sense does it? surely one queue would be much quicker.... That aside the weekend was fantastic! Great atmosphere great location and and really enjoyed myself!!!! Great memories!! It was my first time at Monza and was sad when it was all over!! CAN NOT DUMP THIS RACE FROM THE CALENDAR!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed the 3 days (Fri-Sun) and had great seats opposite the pit exit and to the left of the start grid. We sat in H5 & 6(good for shade in the afternoon only) which was brilliant however next time I will choose next to the edge of the stand and lower down as that would've given us photography freedom without fear of obstructing others views.(the officials controlled this rigidly throughout which was appreciated. They don't allow unseated people unless you are on a non seated booking, i.e sit on grass) The F1village was great with lots of choice. Food and drink plentiful, not cheap but we don't go to moan penny pinch and expected as much. Beer tokens have to be purchased in the food outlet next to beer stand which we sussed out quickly on day 1 so stocked up on arrival on days 2 and 3 so queue was nothing! Stand vendors regularly selling drinks, incl alchoholic throughout events.The bar guy was almost identical to P.Massa!!Our stand seats are concrete so take a cushion. The track invasion was awesome to see although we didn't even try! We expect we will go back next year. We stayed in Seregno (beautiful old town, apart from lacking in restaurants. We found 2 which were great, but 1 was closed on Sunday evening.) Lisander B&B where we stayed in Seregno which was perfect all round (enormous continental breakfasts and spotlessly clean.Used a recommended taxi from the Lisander which was 50 euros from Linate airport. 50 euros from B&B to circuit everyday. We met another couple so cab shared, perfect! Brilliant trip all round, and LEWIS won!!

Can't fault the race seating position except for no back on the seat (minor issue, but do take a cushion as the concrete seating is both hard and cold!) The campsite was right on the circuit, but a total c0ck-up on the bookings meant we and hundreds of others had to pay twice - not happy still haven't had the original fee refunded from F1 camping. The circuit has precious few toilets, so having the campsite close meant we could run back there for a pee - goodness knows how others managed.

second time round so more attuned to vagaries of circuit. Good view with screen opposite. Concrete seats - take cushion, toilet facilities basic- take wetwipes, Found parking (more by luck than judgement) in biassono 2 minutes from entrance to park and a pleasant shaded walk (10mins) through park to entrance to stands. Great atmosphere especially afterwards on the track.

As a non-F1 fan I was nervous at the thought of a weekend of racing but I really enjoyed it. Would recommend the Italian. Grand Prix to anyone.

Non tutte le zone del circuito sono accessibili con sedia a rotelle. Dall’ingresso principale è possibile accedere alle tribune che si trovano all’esterno del tracciato (1, 4, 5, 8a, 8b, 24, 25, 26a, 26b, 26c e gradinate 2, 3, 27) mentre si può raggiungere il centro del tracciato attraverso un tunnel (per le tribune 6a, 6b, 6c, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 19, 20, 23a, 23b e VIP hospitality). Dall’ingresso vicino alla Parabolica è possibile accedere alle tribune 21, 21b, 21c, 21d, 21e, 22. Questa zona è collegata con il centro del tracciato solamente da un ponte pedonale e quindi non accessibile con sedia a rotelle. Dall’ingresso nord vicino a Biassono-Lesmo è possibile accedere a tutte le tribune all’interno del tracciato e dal lato dell’ingresso principale.
Solamente nella giornata di venerdì, i posti sulle tribune non sono numerati (ad eccezione della tribuna Centrale) e tutti gli spettatori con biglietti per le Tribune e per il Prato possono accedere a queste tribune. I possessori di biglietto per la tribuna Centrale possono accedere sola a questa tribuna per tutto il weekend.
I posti a sedere in alcune tribune sono in stile gradinate (posti in cemento). Queste sono:
Nella tribuna 8, la sezione “a” è posizionata nella parte superiore mentre la sezione “b” in quella inferiore. Nella tribuna 23, la sezione “b” è più vicina all’ingresso dei box della sezione “a”.
Il circuito di Monza è situato all’interno di un parco nazionale protetto. Per questo motivo, alcune zone potrebbero avere alberi che coprono parzialmente la vista. Se non sei sicuro di come sia la vista da una tribuna, contattaci per avere un consiglio sulle tribune migliori.
