Italian Moto GP

Great Event, but as per usual the Italian Organization is nonexistent, lack of Shuttle buses from Train Station to anywhere near the Track... lack of information anywhere, after the Event even worse, no information, no services, took 3 1/2 hours to get back to Florence from track on the Saturday... i -3 carriage train every hour... Having said that all part of the experience,, i knew what to expect and got on with it

All was great!

Traveled by bus and train last year, didn't work at all. Rental car this year. Small road (SR65) to Scarperia. Fast travel and nice views. Advice. Plastic folder for the ticket and neck strip would be useful as you have to show the ticket many times.

Excellent race track

Great race to watch, very worthwhile to see, downside is transport to and from track is poor via train stations, not enough buses/vans. Had to walk 8 kms each way to get to train station

Incredible experience. No other circuit is quite like it

Would have been five stars but when we got there we realised that the rules had changed. Motorcycles are no longer permitted in the circuit so you have to park (15 euros a day) outside the track and carry your camping gear in with you. No fun in 30 degree heat! Camping Verde 6kms away is a better idea and either walk or ride up on an empty bike to get in.

Awesome experience!

It’s our first trip to mugello and bookmoto made the whole trip so easy! It was very well coordinated. We opted for the 2 way bus transport as we heard stories about bad experiences with unreliable public train services. Meeting point for bus transport was easy to locate. Drivers were very friendly. Took us less than an hour to arrive in mugello circuit. Even coming back to downtown florence took us only an hour with all the traffic. A must try for die hard 46 fans as the atmosphere was electricfying! Food and drinks in the circuit was plentiful and inexpensive contrary to the reviews. We had the main grandstand seats and had our own food/drinks joint and toilets. Overall an awesome experience and will definitely return using bookmoto. They have been very helpful/informative the whole time! Thank you!

Mugello Moto GP & shuttle from Florence

My husband & I are Americans on first trip to Italy. We enjoy riding & watching Moto GP and have been to a few races at COTA in Austin, Texas. We purchased tickets to the Mugello Moto GP 2017 race. I read many reviews as I also always read reviews for any vacation & especially if we are not familiar to the area which we are traveling. We new it would be an amazing experience but we're concerned about how to get to & from race. We decided to stay in Florence for this part of the trip. After researching booked the shuttle service through Book Moto. We went both Saturday & Sunday. The drive to & from Saturday was very easy & quick in a very nice Mercedes Van. Met other great people. I think it took about an hour drive through the beautiful Tuscan country side. Mugello Moto GP was so much fun! One of the most exciting experience ever! We are a couple in our mid to late 40's. Did I mention we love bikes & I love to travel. I asked my husband to make sure to get us tickets in the grandstand because I read they had nice & real toilets ( restrooms) for women! The restrooms were clean & had toilet paper & never a long line! Perfect for me. Wow it was so exciting to the Valentino Rossi fans & their love for him! We love him but we really love his completion too as they are many great riders. The ride Sunday morning was easy but it took 5 hours to get back! Who cares! It was worth it!!!!!!! So worth it! We had a group of crazy & fun men from Whales, took turns buying beer until we could get going on the rode. Don't go cheap bike ok the grandstand ESP if your wife is going & the shuttle service via BookMoto was great! Mugello is AMAZING! We loved Italy & visited Florence, Tuscany & Amalifi cost ( stayed in Positano) dont donthis trip with f you can't walk much! Be in pretty good shape & have fun!!!

An experience beyond expectations.

Information given from you were mostly regarded. Both from the race before and how tho get to the Mugello race track on raceday. Thank you! One thing that could be better was the directions were to go to get to the right place on the race track itself.

Mugello, mentale!

A late booking, brilliant seats! Tribuna Bronze on the start/finish line! ! We were very lucky. Getting to Mugello is a bit of nightmare; train, bus, walk and double on the way back; sharpen your elbows for the crowds and forget your English manners; snooze y'lose! The Bookmoto service was excellent; tickets arrived in good time, email updates and all nicely presented. Can't fault it. If only Valentino had won. Oh well, next year. A presto, ciao!

Nothing will prepare you for mugello and its not good

Where do i start,50th birthday present and always wanted to go to mugello so off we went, myself wife and 4 year old daughter we are all race fans been to many events in the uk europe and the us but nothing can prepare you for mugello, although the facilities are good, toilets are ok,food vendors have many different things and the viewing of the circuit is nothing short of spectacular.....however getting that view is something else getting to the circuit is an event alone theres very little information and when your there parking is miles from the circuit cars are not allowed inside ...ok long walks, theres hardly any signposting and the marshalls/police are plainly ignorant your treated almost like cattle this gets worse as the event goes on ...once inside your treated to an avalanche of noise engines on pallets being revved, lawnmowers, leafblowers, strimmers chainsaws i kid you not anything that makes noise and seems louder the better once your brain accepts that the pathways are something to behold people trying to move around the circuit on a mudtrack no wider than 3ft along with probably 20,000 bikes ! And the pilots are maniacs my daughter despite holding her hand was hit by one of these and dragged 30ft along the guy didnt even get off his bike to see if she was ok !! Officials were nowwhere to be seen along with the fires that they seem to think was some sort of ritual literally burning motorcycles in front of your eyes ...i thought long and hard about actually going on raceday, getting out was as if somebody pushed a button and opened all the gates and a free for all began total chaotic and nothing moved for hours and i mean nothing not even the ambulance trying to get out....got a family stay at home and watch the tv whilst the scenery and track is fabulous the rest is a case of money before safety and before long there will be deaths at this event .....would i go again ...not a chance as much as i love italy the animals inside the circuit and the total lack of security completely ruined it for us.....so disapointed f1 monza planned for this year scrapped and binned

Italian GP Mugello 2016

This was my first GP that I attended. As a Rossi fan it was great to experience the atmosphere of Mugello although the outcome of the race could of course have been better :P Me and my friend bought 3 day passes on Centrale Bronze and got seats just in line with the third row of the grid, and it was awesome! To see and HEAR the bikes on the Mugello straight is something that I will never forget! We also had a video screen just in front of us so we could follow the whole race. Overall I am very satisfied with the weekend but I thought I would share a few tips and pointers from my weekend at Mugello. 1. Do NOT park near the circuit on race day! We lived 1h20min from the circuit and on race day we got in the car at 4pm and got back to the hotel at 10pm! It was a traffic jam that you would never believe! A better choice would have been to park in a nearby village and walk for an hour or so (seriously!) 2. A surprising thing was that in excess of souvenirs and beverages they only sold food and ice cream around the track. We wanted to get some snacks and/or candy but it was nowhere to be found. 3. Earplugs. (It you choose to sit in the Centrale grand stand.) I would also like to take the opportunity to thank bookmoto.com! Their service could not have been any better! At one point I had a question about my booking and sent an email. The response I got was one of the most professional I have ever gotten. Since this was my first GP I was a bit nervous about the tickets but the information I got made me feel secure about the tickets. The packaging with the folder for the tickets, the map over the circuit, the time schedule for the weekend and the letter was really great! I also enjoyed the e-mail I got prior to the trip with information on what to expect and tips for the weekend. Hope you can get some needed information from my review. I can't wait until the next chance I get to experience MotoGP live, and when that happens I know where I will return to get my tickets! :) Sincerely, Daniel Nilsson Stockholm, Sweden

What an experience! Brilliant atmosphere, fantastic seats in the grandstand, directly opposite pits , could see everything going on in the garages. security did not allow anyone to stand up on the balcony so everyone had a great view.

Mugello 2015

A great weekend but there were a few issues. I was staying in Firenze and took the excellent train from the Santa Maria di Novello station which cost about 13 euros return and took less than an hour each way. Sunday was tricky as the first train was jammed full two minutes after we started boarding - anyone who didn't make it on (at least another hundred or more people) had to get a taxi as the next train was several hours later and they would have missed most of the races. I got off at Borgo San Lorenzo on the Friday and at San Piero A Sieve on the Saturday and Sunday. Contrary to the advertised information, there were NO scheduled buses to take you from either station to the circuit. Any buses that did come through were full. Some enterprising minibuses and taxis were charging ten euros per head for the five minute journey one way. On Saturday I hitched a lift with a trio of Italians but was then asked for 10 euros once in the car - the driver was a track official and couldn't resist the opportunity to make 40 euros for a trip he was already going to make. I was therefore left with the option to either be ripped off or to walk. I'm pretty fit and managed a good pace - about 90 minutes each way - but with the temperatures in the 30's I was pretty knackered at the end of each day. Also, the supposed shuttle bus service between the main entrances did not exist. I waited at the main entrance on Saturday for over 40 minutes and then walked the 30 minutes to the Palagio entrance and never saw any shuttle buses. I had a three day ticket in the Centrale Bronze grandstand and the view is of the pit straight only - a bit restricted but at least you have the big screen coverage. If you can afford it, go for the Silver or better which gets you onto the top deck and you can swap between the main straight and the Biondetti side. I managed to get in here on the Friday after approaching three different entrances - the advertised roving grandstand policy had not been explained to security and I eventually just pushed past the least obstructive one and waited for him to chuck me out - thankfully he didn't bother. Would I go again? Probably yes, but the logistics are a nightmare unless you want to stay inside the circuit for the three days. I'd definitely investigate hiring a scooter or small bike for the three days if I did go again.

You sold me voided tickets and risked ruining a £3k holiday.

You tickets we're voided because 'part of venders consignment was unaccounted for'. This was the official response when I tried to enter the circuit. I had to buy new tickets at the circuit at the FULL entry price. Thank you for nothing.

Circuit

Race day was magic. The only negative feedback I can give is about the entry. We went to what we believe was the entrance for us and asked if this was correct for getting to the stand, we were told it was. However, we were the furthest we could have been and must have walked 3 3/4 of the outside of the track (where general admission can go) to get to the entrance to get into the grandstand. For us, this was not so bad as my husband wanted to walk round the track after the race (no need as we did it before) but the downside was we missed most of the first race. We did see some of it as they went past us dependant on where we were, whilst walking round the track. This experience could have been awful for someone who could not have walked that far, especially with the heat. Other than that, it was brilliant. Catering and comfort facilities were clean and tidy and staff were very helpful and friendly. Fantastic atmosphere! Will definately do it again.
