F2 2025 Calendar Headlines

Back to Barcelona

The 2025 Formula 2 season returns to the iconic Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, a track renowned for its technical complexity and as a proving ground for future Formula 1 talent. With its mix of high-speed straights and challenging corners, Barcelona tests the limits of both driver skill and team strategy. You can head to the Spanish Grand Prix event page to book your tickets for the race weekend now!

Circuito de Cataluña-Barcelona

In the 2024 season, Victor Martins clinched his first victory of the year in the Sprint Race, showcasing a commanding performance for ART Grand Prix. The Feature Race saw Jak Crawford of DAMS Lucas Oil take a dominant win, marking his first Feature Race triumph in Formula 2. Franco Colapinto and Juan Manuel Correa completed the podium, finishing second and third respectively.

As the 2025 season unfolds, all eyes will be on emerging talents aiming to make their mark on this demanding circuit. Fans can anticipate a weekend of intense racing, strategic battles, and the emergence of the sport’s next stars under the Spanish sun.

High-stakes in Baku

Known for producing chaos, drama, and last-lap heartbreaks, the Azerbaijan street circuit is one of the most unpredictable stops on the calendar. Its combination of tight corners, long straights, and heavy braking zones creates a recipe for overtaking and incidents – often in the same corner.

Gran Premio de Azerbaiyán

Baku’s placement late in the season means that title contenders will be under immense pressure to stay clean while still capitalising on opportunities. A single mistake here can cost massive points.

Record number of 2024 graduates brings competitive landscape

With the 2024 F2 season seeing a record number of drivers graduate to F1 for 2025, their race performances from last season could provide an indication as to which F2 drivers to look out for in this year’s competition.

F2 2024 saw Haas new boy, Oliver Bearman, see off Sauber’s latest recruit, Gabriel Bortoleto, to win at Red Bull Ring in Austria, while Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton replacement, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, pipped Isack Hadjar to first place at Silverstone just a week later. Maybe the winners of these races in 2025 are names to keep an eye on for F1 seats in 2026?
