The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is located near the Adriatic coast and the town of Misano Adriatico in the province of Rimini, Emilia Romagna, Italy.
Due to its location, there are several options for racegoers to choose when attending the San Marino Grand Prix, depending on where they are based.
Federico Fellini International Airport (RMI) in Rimini is the closest to the circuit, though its schedule is limited mostly to seasonal and charter routes. Travellers looking for more frequent options should head to Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ), about 120 km from the circuit. As a key Ryanair base, it offers extensive connections to a vast array of major cities across Europe.
The closest train station to the circuit is Misano-Adriatico, located approximately 5km away. Misano-Adriatico is only serviced by local train routes, so if you are travelling from afar you’ll need to travel to Rimini or Riccione before changing for a service to Misano-Adriatico. Rimini and Riccione can be reached by services from major Italian cities, such as Milan, Bologna or Florence.
The journey time from Rimini to Misano-Adriatico is around 15 minutes. Once at Misano-Adriatico, there are taxis and shuttle buses to the circuit available, but you should allow at least an hour if you are planning to tackle the journey on foot.
Despite being located next to the Motorway, fans are advised not to travel to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli by car due to the lack of parking available nearby. One option could be to drive to Rimini or Riccione and parking there before using public transport to get to the circuit.
For those who do elect to drive, you can see directions here.
Local buses
During MotoGP weekends, Start Romagna operates special services linking Misano-Adriatico train station and Riccione with the circuit. Regular public buses also stop nearby – route 55 from Riccione and Misano, and route 124 from Rimini. From these stops, it’s no more than a 10–20 minute walk (around 1-2 km) to the entrance.
Regional buses
Busforfun also run dedicated services on race weekends, providing direct connections to the circuit from a wide range of cities, including Bologna, Milan, Modena, Bergamo, Rome, Trieste, Verona, and others.

While there is no official trackside campsite at Misano World Circuit itself, several holiday villages and camping resorts in the surrounding towns of Misano Adriatico, Riccione, and Cattolica open their doors to MotoGP fans. These sites tend to book up quickly over race weekend, as they provide a lively alternative to hotels while still keeping you close to the action.
The most popular base is Camping Village Misano, located just a short distance from the circuit and within walking reach of the beach. It offers everything from standard tent pitches and caravan spots to mobile homes and even glamping-style safari tents. Facilities are well maintained, with swimming pools, restaurants, and entertainment included, making it feel more like a festival hub than a basic campsite.
Other nearby options such as Camping Adria in Riccione and Villaggio Mithos provide a similar blend of practicality and atmosphere. Both feature pitches for tents and camper vans, along with bungalows or chalets for those wanting a sturdier setup. These campsites are particularly popular with bikers, giving them a strong community feel during race weekend.
Do note that tents and camping gear are not permitted inside the circuit itself. Only camping chairs are allowed in the natural grandstands, so staying at one of these nearby holiday villages is the best way to capture the MotoGP camping spirit.
