Where to stay at the Austrian F1 Grand Prix

The short answer to this query – if you want an authentic Austrian Grand Prix experience – is to camp. This race has more of a festival vibe to it than any other on the F1 calendar. The stunning surroundings, as well as the difficulty reaching the track by public transport, sees fans flocking to pitch tents in their thousands each year.

If camping is not for you, the track is located deep in ski country, where there are plenty of chalets to rent in the surrounding mountains of the Red Bull Ring. However, prices do come at a premium.

The towns of Zeltweg and Spielberg are the closest to the circuit, and here you will find a range of hotels. Beyond that, Graz is the closest city which boasts a wealth of accommodation options. These tend to get snapped up very quickly, so it is advisable to start planning your trip as early as possible.

Camping at the Red Bull ring

Camping is by far the most popular accommodation option at the Austrian Grand Prix. Partly through necessity, being so rural, and partly for the desire to be part of one of Formula 1’s biggest festival, fans love this race.

Tickets and camping at the Austrian Grand Prix are some of the most sought after with the event consistently selling out each year. Check out our full guide to camping at Austria below:
