F1-Kalender 2026: Wann beginnt der Ticketverkauf?

The F1 2026 calendar has been released, so now is the time to plan your Grand Prix trip for next year. Travel and accommodation will be at its most affordable and available right now.

The F1 2026 ticket release dates are yet to be confirmed but typically the circuits make them available for purchase between six and nine months before the race itself. However, some do go directly on sale with the next year’s Grand Prix after each race. The trend is that races go on sale earlier each year.

Madrid lands on the calendar as the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix

The Madrid street circuit – known as the Madring – will host the Spanish Grand Prix in 2026. Fans were given a sneak peak of the new track in a simulation released by the organisers.

Barcelona moves to slightly later in the calendar, falling on the same weekend as the 24 Hours of Le Mans (dates yet to be confirmed). The future of Formula 1 in the Catalan capital is far from certain from 2027 and beyond.

Imola dropped from the F1 calendar

The Emilia Romagna race is the latest casualty of the changing Formula 1 landscape. Forever associated with the memory of Ayrton Senna, this European fan favourite has been replaced by the new venue for the Spanish Grand Prix, Madrid.

Canada moved to May as Monaco kicks off European season

The Formula 1 tour will stay in North America after Miami in 2026, heading north to Montreal. In previous seasons the Canadian Grand Prix was placed in the middle of the European races. Now there is an uninterrupted European season which starts with Monaco (June 5-7) and ends with Azerbaijan (Sept 25-27).

Canada will be Round 7, taking place May 22-24, three weeks after Miami and two weeks before Monaco.

F1 Sprint Races 2026

The 2026 season will again see Sprint Races form part of the weekend schedule at six stops on the calendar, with several venues getting their first taste of the exciting, shorter race format that was introduced by the FIA in 2021.

The first Sprint of 2026 will take place on the second round of the season in China, with Miami next in line at the beginning of May. Both venues host Sprint Races for the third consecutive year. Elsewhere, Britain is back amongst the Sprint action for the first time since 2021, whilst Canada, the Netherlands and Singapore are all preparing to host Sprint weekends for the very first time.

When will the 2027 F1 calendar be announced?

The 2026 F1 season calendar was announced on 10 June 2025, but the year before it was much earlier on the 12 April 2024. Previous season’s calendars have been announced any time from July – November in the year prior.
