WHY GO TO THE US GRAND PRIX

American motorsport fans have a turbulent history with Formula 1. But the Austin Grand Prix has delivered great racing in recent years, and won the hearts of the nation. The modern Circuit of the Americas was built within touching distance of Austin, Texas, famed for its music, food and nightlife.

The design of the circuit is based on some of Europe’s famous Formula 1 tracks, including Silverstone, the Red Bull Ring, Hockenheim and Istanbul.

The undulating Circuit of the Americas has been home of the US Grand Prix since 2012. It is one of the most recognisable tracks, featuring the Texas flag throughout the circuit as well as the steep climb straight of over 40 metres in elevation.

Circuit of The Americas has long been a happy hunting ground for three-time world champion Max Verstappen, who added another dominant victory at the 2025 United States Grand Prix. While Lewis Hamilton still holds the record for the most wins at COTA with five, Verstappen continues to close in on that milestone.

Charles Leclerc triumphed in 2024 for Ferrari, but Red Bull and Verstappen reclaimed the top step at F1's most recent stop in Austin with a decisive performance.

October in Texas brings warm, comfortable race conditions, with average temperatures around 26°C, and Austin continues to grow as one of the most vibrant, visited and musically charged cities in the United States.

Join us in Texas in 2026 as the F1 season returns to Austin and the legendary COTA circuit.
