WHY GO TO THE MEXICAN GRAND PRIX

Right in the centre of Mexico’s capital city, the track is characterised by its enormous 1.2km pit straight - on which modern F1 cars clock speeds of up to 330km/h - and the Foro Sol stadium section, where the cars drive through a bowled grandstand.

This sets the scene for epic podium celebrations post-race, as Lewis Hamilton discovered when he won the World Championship at this race in 2018 and 2017 in front of huge crowds. There’s an added spectacle to this race, too, as it traditionally takes place on the Mexican holiday, the Day of the Dead. A celebration to remember friends and family members who have been lost, the circuit hosts parades while the city bursts into vibrant life. The Mexican capital buzzes with music and parties throughout the weekend. There is no better time to experience Mexican culture than on the weekend of the Mexican Grand Prix.
