Why go to the 2024 Saudi Arabia Grand Prix?

Jeddah is home to 3.5 million people, who will welcome Formula 1 to the shores of the Red Sea.

The Jeddah Corniche Circuit features a variety of blisteringly fast long straights flowing into tight corners, and is a track like no other. The track is another designed by renowned F1 circuit creator Hermann Tilke, who has been responsible for fan favourite tracks like Istanbul Park, Bahrain International, Shanghai International and more. The first race in December 2021 was full of action, with Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen embroiled in a furious battle as the Briton eventually took the win to tie the championship standings with one race remaining. 2022’s race was equally fully of drama as Verstappen this time engaged in a race-long dual with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, before eventually taking the win. The last race was the second round of the 2023 F1 calendar, and one of the few races that Max Verstappen hasn't won this season, being pipped to the post by teammate Sergio Perez.

For fans attending the race, the rich Arabian culture and history offer a lot to explore with a mix of modern and tradition. The beautiful Al Rahma Mosque is built on reclaimed land surrounded by water and the incredible King Fahd’s Fountain is the tallest in the world, while Al-Balad and Biet Nassif are two vibrant and historic regions of the city.
