Having undergone its first major layout change in many years, MotoGP racing at the Red Bull Ring is more spectacular than ever. Following a few nasty incidents as the riders took on the long uphill stretch towards the acute turn three, a brand new chicane has been installed to slow the bikes down earlier, and promote even more overtaking at this stunning track.
And it proved to work in 2022, with Fabio Quartararo making a stunning overtake on his way to second place as the field battled fiercely throughout the race. Fans packing the Red Bull grandstands were treated to a brilliant view of the new action zone, as the stand stretches along the outside of the chicane. Thanks to the immense elevation of the Red Bull Ring circuit, fans in most grandstands are able to see across huge portions of the track and some of the best views of any race on the calendar.
Pecco Bagnaia took an important win for his championship in 2022, with brilliant support race action in the form of the Moto2, Moto3 and MotoE World Cup.
Tickets for the 2023 Austrian MotoGP are now on sale, with excellent grandstand and general admission options located throughout the circuit.
