Spain - Jerez
Spain and MotoGP go together like tapas and sangria. The first of four races in Spain on the calendar takes place at the Circuito de Jerez in Jerez de la Frontera.
The race has been held here annually since 1989, with local fans eager to get behind the various Spanish riders on the grid, including Marc Marquez, Pol Espargaró and new World Champion Joan Mir. While Moto3 and Moto2 will be in action, the sport’s exciting electric series MotoE will also be racing beside the main event.
Temperatures in Jerez reach an average high of 26°C in May, attracting motorsport fans and tourists from around the globe to Spain’s south coast. Deep in the sherry-producing region of the country, tours of the regions famous bodegas are popular, while many will relax between race sessions on the nearby picturesque beaches to soak up the sun.
