Be in the stands for MotoGP's first Spanish race of the year
Spain and MotoGP go together like tapas and sangria. The first of four races in Spain on the calendar takes place at the Circuito de Jerez in Jerez de la Frontera.
The race has been held here annually since 1989, with local fans eager to get behind the various Spanish riders on the grid, including Marc Marquez, Joan Mir and recently crowned World Champion Jorge Martin.
Moto3 and Moto2 will also be in action, while the sport’s exciting electric series MotoE will be racing beside the main event.
Temperatures in Jerez reach an average high of 23°C in April, attracting motorsport fans and tourists from around the globe to Spain’s south coast. Deep in the sherry-producing region of the country, tours of the regions famous bodegas are popular, while many will relax between race sessions on the nearby picturesque beaches to soak up the sun.
