With very fast and technical gravel roads, Rally Portugal represents a tricky event for all competitors due to the demanding conditions that they will find such as complex corners right after crests, high temperatures and a rocky surface in some cases.

The Fafe jump of Rally Portugal is the most iconic spectator area of the rally, and one of the most popular of the whole rally championship. It’s undoubtedly the most spectacular moment of the rally.

As an interesting fact, the longest distance ever jumped by a rally car at Fafe has been by Armin Schwarz in the year 2000 with a jump of 73.5 meters, which is nearly the length of a football pitch!

But for sure, Rally Portugal has always been known because of the amount of spectators that gather every year and the special rally atmosphere created in this event.
