Getting to the Circuit Ricardo Tormo

The Circuit Ricardo Tormo is located in Cheste, just outside Valencia, on Spain’s eastern coast. This area of the Mediterranean is famous for delicious cuisine and year-round good weather – as well as affordable for visitors.

This means Valencia is the perfect destination for MotoGP fans. With excellent transport links, nearby beaches, and the lively atmosphere of Valencia city only a short drive away, it’s a fitting setting for the end of the MotoGP season.

✈️ Nearest Airports

Valencia Airport (VLC – Manises) — 20 km / ~25 min drive (closest, excellent European and domestic connections).

Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) — 180 km / ~1.5–2 hr drive (major international hub with many low-cost flights).

🚗 Getting to Circuit Ricardo Tormo by Car

Located just off the A-3 motorway (Autovía del Este), exit Exit 334 – Cheste.
The circuit is well-signposted and easily accessible by car.

Approximate driving times:

  • Valencia → 25 min
  • Alicante → 1.5–2 hrs
  • Madrid → 3.5–4 hrs

Free and paid parking zones are available near the circuit (check event maps for details).
🚦 Expect traffic congestion on race days — plan to arrive early.

🚆 Getting to Circuit Ricardo Tormo by Train

Traveling by train is a convenient and scenic way to reach the Valencia area, with regular local and regional services to Cheste and Valencia stations.

Key details:

  • Nearest station: Cheste Railway Station — about 2 km from the circuit.
  • Main operator: Renfe (Spain’s national rail service).

Tickets:

  • Book online at www.renfe.com (English available).
  • Purchase at ticket counters or self-service machines at stations.
  • Advance booking recommended for intercity trains on race weekends.

Routes:

  • Trains run frequently from Valencia Estació del Nord to Cheste (approx. 30–35 min).
  • From Madrid or other major cities, take a high-speed train (AVE/Alvia) to Valencia, then connect to a local service to Cheste.

From Cheste station to the circuit:

  • It’s a 20–25 min walk, or you can take a shuttle bus or taxi during race weekends.

Buses offer a flexible and affordable way to reach the circuit, especially from Valencia city center or nearby towns.

  • Main intercity operator: Avanza Bus and other local providers.
  • Direct buses typically depart from Valencia city (Estación de Autobuses or city center) to Cheste during major events.

Tickets:

🏁 Event Shuttle Services

Shuttles typically run from early morning until after the final race sessions, aligned with the event schedule.
