Camping facilities

While all campsites featured in this guide offer adequate showers and toilets, it’s wise to avoid using these facilities first thing in the morning when queues are expected to be long! Bring your own toilet paper too….just in case!

It is also recommended to bring your own food and drink, as food stalls and outlets on site can be pricey. Bring plenty of water as temperatures during the racing weekend frequently reach 28 – 30 degrees Celsius!

Camping near Hungaroring

Camping at Hungaroring itself will no doubt sell out quickly. If you miss out, don’t worry, there are a number of other campsites in the area which offer pitches over the race weekend.

We recommend the following campsites:

  • Royal PRing Camping – situated on the south-east side of the Hungaroring circuit, close to Gates 3-6
  • Camping Arena Budapest – this leafy, peaceful and well-presented campsite is just 20 minutes’ drive from Hungaroring
  • Camping Pap-sziget – located on a small island by the river Danube, this campsite is great for holidays as well as a perfect base for the Grand Prix
