Sin City will host a Formula 1 Grand Prix for the first time in 41 years this season and it is one not to be missed

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas – so make sure you don’t miss it!

Formula 1 has finally returned to the bright lights of Las Vegas after a lengthy absence. It will be the third race in the USA in the 2023 F1 calendar.

Here are just a few reasons to make the Las Vegas Grand Prix your F1 priority in 2023…

F1 returns to Las Vegas after four decades

Formula 1 has enjoyed a notable rise in the United States in recent years. This has partly been due to the emergence of a real competitor to the Hamilton and Mercedes domination, but also thanks to the Netflix documentary, Drive to Survive.

Seeing Formula 1 return to the streets of Las Vegas is a sign of this, as it has been a whopping 41 years since the last Grand Prix was held in the City That Never Sleeps.

The last Formula 1 Grand Prix held in Las Vegas was in 1982

The Las Vegas Grand Prix will be the last of three races held in the US in 2023, another indication of how popular the sport has become. The others are Miami (5-7 May) and Austin 20-22 Oct).

Saturday Race

Saturday 18 November will be a Formula 1 party in Vegas. The Sin City strip will ring with the sound of engines on the first Saturday race in 38 years. The last one was the 1985 South African Grand Prix.

On top of all that, the penultimate race in the 2023 F1 calendar will be a night race!

Crunchtime

Max Verstappen may be cruising at the front of the grid for now, but anything can change and, as we saw in 2021, the penultimate race could be the title decider.

Picture the scene: Saturday night in Vegas, sipping free champagne with a rooftop vantage view of the track, with a Hamilton/Verstappen-style battle to round the season off. Whether it goes right down to the wire or not, this Grand Prix is going to be historic.

VISTA Las Vegas

Champagne and rooftop parties sound appealing? Well we’ve got just the option for you.

One of the main reasons the Las Vegas Grand Prix will be different from the rest is the exclusive rooftop party at The Cromwell Hotel, VISTA Las Vegas. This vantage point high above the track gives you an ideal view of the straight, and the giant screens mean that you won’t miss a minute of the action.

Food and drink is included in the package, as well as talks from F1 legends and celebrity appearances. DJ’s will get the party started well ahead of the race.
