        GETTING TO THE CIRCUIT

        BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Barcelona is a very well-connected city internationally. The airport of El Prat is closest to the centre, but many choose to fly to Girona (Costa Brava) to the north of Barcelona. Accommodation and flights may be cheaper, but it is much further to get to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. There is no direct bus to the circuit from Girona, and you will have to change in Granollers.

        Train (from Barcelona)

The closest train station to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is Montmeló. Regular trains connect the town to three stops in Barcelona’s city centre, all on the same line. Those stops are: Sants Estacio, Passeig de Gracia and El Clot. The journey takes between 20 and 40 minutes, depending which Barcelona station you catch the train from.

You need to catch either the Renfe R2 (dark green line) or R2 Nord (light green line) from the above stations - check out the timetable here. The train costs around €2.80 each way.

There is a shuttle bus connecting Montmeló (10 minute walk from the train station) to the circuit, which costs €2.40. If not, it takes around 45 minutes to walk the distance.

        (from Girona)

Trains from Girona are a little more complicated, as you need to change at Granollers Centre. Take the R11 (blue line) to Granollers Centre, and then take very regular trains the short distance to Montmeló.

There is a shuttle bus connecting Montmeló (10 minute walk from the train station) to the circuit, which costs €2.40. If not, it takes around 45 minutes to walk the distance.

        Bus (from Barcelona)

A regular bus service (Sagales) runs on the Grand Prix weekend from Barcelona Estació del Nord directly to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. This costs €20 return (€18 if you book before 2 June) and takes only 45 minutes.

(from Lloret de Mar and Blanes)

A similar bus service, also run by Sagales, leaves from towns on the Costa Brava, including Lloret de Mar and Blanes. However, these services only run on the Saturday and Sunday of the race weekend. Check out the exact route here

NOTE: there are no buses directly from Girona.

        Taxi

The circuit is around 30km north of Barcelona, so some racegoers choose to take a taxi. This may cost up to €45 through Cabify or hailing a metered cab. The journey from the centre of Barcelona to the circuit takes around 30 minutes (likely to increase on race weekend) and from Girona around 55 minutes.

        PARKING AT THE CIRCUIT

Those who have purchased a parking ticket to attend the event must exchange it for a sticker for your vehicle. This sticker will act as an accreditation for your car. Until now, tickets had to be changed on site upon entering the circuit..

To reduce traffic jams, the Circuit has set up several points where this changeover can be made prior to the Spanish Grand Prix:

These are the points of exchange are:

        • Box Office 3 of the Circuit

From 23 May, Box Office 3 will be open during office hours, Monday to Thursday from 9am-2pm and from 3pm to 6pm Friday from 9am to 2pm As of Thursday (1 June), these opening hours will be adapted to the timetable of the event.

        • Formula 1 Barcelona Village

You can also get your car sticker changed at the information point in the Formula 1 Barcelona Village (in the Port Vell, Pla de Miquel Taradell). This will be open from Friday 26 May until the Saturday of the Grand Prix.

        • Circuit Car Parks

It will be possible to exchange the parking ticket for the car sticker at the entrance of any of the car parks, however, this is the least recommended option. It is important to have the ticket ready (either physical or digital) to speed up the process and reduce queues.

Still need parking? Buy yours here!

You’re still not too late to buy parking at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the Spanish Grand Prix weekend.

Bear in mind that you will not be able to buy parking tickets on arrival at the Circuit.

Once you have your parking ticket, you will have to exchange it for the vehicle sticker at any of the above-mentioned points or, as a last resort, at the facilities during the event.

In order to avoid long queues there will be no assigned car parks. As you approach the Circuit, staff will direct you according to the available space.

NOTE: You can access the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya through any of the access gates, regardless of ticket type.
