F2 2026 Calendar Headlines
Early season opener in Melbourne
In 2026, the F2 season will once again begin down under at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, Australia. Next year’s curtain raiser occurs a week earlier than the previous year’s opening weekend, taking place on March 8 2026 as opposed to March 16 2025. This means fans will ultimately have less waiting time between the end of the 2025 season and the beginning of the 2026 campaign.
The Albert Park Circuit is a fan favourite and one of our fastest selling races. Sign up for ticket alerts via the Australian Grand Prix event page to be the first in line when they go on sale!

There will also be a date change for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix which will be held a day earlier in the week than usual to accommodate the country’s national day. The Sprint Race will be on Friday 25 September, while the Feature Race will be on Saturday 26 September.
Bienvenido Madrid!
One major change to the calendar comes with the all-new Madring Circuit in Madrid. This brand new track is on the calendar for the very first time and also plays host to the F3 season finale. A hybrid circuit that incorporates both street and non-street sections, it is said to feature a ‘monumental curve’ that will be an icon of the championship.

Madrid has replaced Imola on the F2 calendar and has also taken the official Spanish Grand Prix title, with Barcelona now referred to as the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.
Breaks after Jeddah and Budapest
The 2026 season will see a lengthy seven-week break after the season’s third round in Saudi Arabia on April 19, before the action moves to Europe for the Monaco Grand Prix on June 7.
There will also be another six-week break after the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 26. The season then resumes on September 6 at Monza, followed by the aforementioned visit to Madrid just seven days later to round off the European leg of the F2 season.
