WHY GO TO A MOTOGP RACE

An exciting announcement for this season is the return of Aragon, the fourth Spanish race in the calendar. After substantial track and facility improvements Qatar returns to its usual position as season opener for the 2024 MotoGP season.

Francesco Bagnaia is enjoying some Verstappen-esque domination with Ducati, having won the 2022 and 2023 championships. The target will once again be on his back in 2024 as Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo and Honda’s Marc Marquez and others look to strike back.

Multiple world champion Marquez will be sporting new non-Honda colours for the first time in his career, after a move to Ducati-powered Gresini Racing.

MotoGP weekends will also enjoy sprint races that first appeared on the calendar last year, meaning 2024 will also see a gigantic 42 MotoGP races. MotoGP weekends in 2024 will provide plenty of action: the main championship sees two Friday practice sessions, Saturday’s final practice and qualifying session, and the new sprint race, before the big race on Sunday. The stars of tomorrow will race alongside the main championship, as junior series Moto2, Moto3 and the all-electric MotoE will be in action at different rounds throughout the season.
