GETTING TO THE CIRCUIT
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The public transport links in Italy are very efficient and many fans will opt to take the train to Monza from Milan. Buses and also available, but proximity to Milan means that taxis are also an option, especially for groups.
Train
The train to Monza leaves Milan from the following stations: Milano Centrale, Milano Porto Garibaldi and Sesto San Giovanni.
The Monza stop is called Stazione di Monza, and you should be catching trains in the direction of Lecco, Bergamo, Chiasso, Molteno or Chiavenna.
Train tickets cost €10 return from any Milan station, and it includes the shuttle bus at the other end (€6 return without a train ticket).
Once you arrive at Monza, the famous black shuttle buses link the station to the circuit. The drop off point is around a 20 minute walk from the Vedano entrance. The last shuttle leaves at 8pm every day.
If you have tickets in Grandstands 9 or 10, or 12 to 20, you may want to take the train to Biassono-Lesmo, which is located at the northern corner of the circuit, or you will have a lot of walking to do from Monza train station. Only Milano Porta Garibaldi has direct trains to Biassono-Lesmo.
It is important to validate your tickets (machines at the station) and always be aware of pickpockets who are especially prolific during the race weekend.
Bus
The bus is also a good option to reach the Autodromo Nazionale Monza from Milan. The Z221 takes around 30 minutes from Sesto San Giovanni. The bus stopped at Vedano (access to main entrance) or Biassono - don’t be tempted to get off at the Monza train station as the bus takes you much closer to the circuit.
Taxi
A taxi to Monza from the centre of Milan will cost between €45 and €60. The advice would be to pre-book the return after the Grand Prix, or other peak times of the weekend. Alternatively, you may want to hang around after the main events to avoid the rush for taxis.
FreeNow and appTaxi are the most popular taxi hailing apps in Milan.
BY CAR
The Autodromo Nazionale Monza is well served by motorways and the circuit offers parking a short walk away. This is available to buy on the day but there is no guarantee that spaces will be available. It is highly recommended that drivers purchase their parking in advance. You can browse the options and buy parking through this link.
The cheapest tickets start from €100 for three days and are 4km from the track, but the price does include a shuttle bus.
