Formula 1 lights up incredible Imola. Whether run under the current ‘Emilia Romagna Grand Prix’ title or the former ‘San Marino Grand Prix’ label, fans have always rejoiced when Formula 1 racing hits the famous tarmac of the iconic Imola circuit.
The high-speed Autodromo Enzo E Dino Ferrari is steeped in history and since its return to the Formula 1 calendar in 2020, fans have flocked to see Lewis Hamilton (2020) and Max Verstappen (2021 and 2022) stand on the top step of the podium. Hamilton’s win in 2020 was particularly emotional for the British driver who was fighting for the win at the site his hero Ayrton Senna lost his life.
Found in the beautiful Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, Imola lies a short drive from the metropolitan city of Bologna, famous for its ancient architecture and food – some of Italy’s finest cuisines were created here.
The Bologna region of Italy is also home to the famous Motor Valley. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati and Maserati are just some of the major motor brands that call Motor Valley home. For any racing fan visiting the region, the numerous factory tours, museums and circuits are must-see attractions.

Start/Finish 1 is considered the main grandstand in the circuit and is situated opposite the iconic tower. It is located past the pits and the start/finish line, but does put you at the heart of the action at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix!

Start/Finish 3 is a great option for those who want to see the cars zoom into the pits! This grandstand is situated just before the start/finish line and will offer a great view of the cars barrelling into the pits and down the main straight.

The General Admission ticket allows you access to the circuit grounds where you can find many areas around the circuit to view the race from. Two areas have been mapped out on the track for those choosing General Admission tickets. These are;
Between Turns 1 and 6
Between Turns 12 and 17
Both of these areas will give you some great views of the on-track action and overtaking.
