For the full schedule, including special events organised by the circuit and concerts, visit singaporegp.sg. The organisers have stated that timings may be subject to change, so keep an eye out for any announcements.
Singapore is renowned for attracting some of the world's biggest artists to the Grand Prix and this year, among countless other artists, Post Malone and Robbie Williams will be the headline acts.
GETTING TO THE CIRCUIT
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Getting to the incredible Marina Bay Circuit is just a walk for those lucky enough to be staying in downtown Singapore. For most visitors to this incredible place, the preferred option is a very clean air-conditioned metro, known as the MRT (Mass Rapid Transport).
It is worth checking what zone of the circuit your ticket is for, then you can check which station is nearest to the gate you need to enter the circuit from. The track has provided a map to locate your ticket.
MRT (Mass Rapid Transport)
The MRT metro system in the city state of Singapore is very efficient and on race weekends it runs until 1am.
Due to road closures during the Formula 1 Grand Prix, fans are strongly encouraged by organisers to use the public transport system. They also provide a helpful Road Access and Public Transport Guide for racegoers to plan their trip easily.
Single journeys on the metro cost between 1 and 3 SGD, but we recommend paying just 25 SGD (around £15) for a Singapore Tourist Pass to get unlimited travel over the weekend. These can also be bought at the airport.
There are trains that run from Kuala Lumpur in neighbouring Malaysia to Singapore which are surprisingly cheap and take around six hours. Buses also run from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore which are also very cheap (around $20) and take five hours - less time than the train!
Taxi
Like the MRT, Singapore taxis are notoriously clean and air-conditioned with drivers generally not being renowned for trying to overcharge tourists. Taxis can be hailed on the street. A short journey through Singapore should cost up to around 30 SGD (£18). Be aware that the fares increase by 25% during peak times (morning and evening) and by 50% after midnight.
