Motorsport Network has a portfolio of over 20 brands which operate across motorsport and automotive, all of which are governed by this Privacy Policy. The list of these brands can be found at www.motorsportnetwork.com/our-brands.

This Motorsport Network Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to data that is collected and used by Motorsport Network LLC, 5972 Northeast 4th Avenue Miami, FL 33137 United States and/or its affiliates (collectively, “Motorsport Network” hereinafter also referred to as “we” or “us”) when you use this website or its subdomains (the “Website”) or otherwise interact with us as described below.

Please read this Privacy Policy in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions, Cookie Policy and, when relevant to the individual, CCPA Policy.

By using our Website (including any motorsportnetwork.com subdomains), using our products and services, signing up for our events, registering for our accounts, contacting us and/or interacting with Motorsport Network-managed social media pages on third party platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or YouTube) you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

In addition to this Privacy Policy, each service offered by us or our group companies may have additional privacy provisions that are specific to that service. These supplemental disclosures are made adjacent to that service. This is known as a “Privacy Notice”.

Our commitment to your privacy

Motorsport Network is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains and governs Motorsport Network’s use of data that is collected by us, including any and all Personal Data. “Personal Data” means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data). We use your Personal Data in line with all applicable laws. To ensure compliance and to align with Motorsport Network’s values around transparency, collection, use, security, storage and disclosure of your Personal Data we continually strive to improve via our business leaders, partners and our global privacy program.

We understand it is vital for you to have control over any communications that you receive from us. Therefore we would like to provide you with a quick and easy way of opting-out of all marketing communications. However, please remember that this will remove you from everything you have signed up for and you may wish to be more selective and choose which communications you no longer wish to receive, particularly by email or SMS, by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the bottom of each and every message we send you. If you wish to opt-out of all marketing communications, click here.

Please note that in order to use our Website, you authorize Motorsport Network to transfer your personal information across national borders and to other countries where Motorsport Network and its affiliates and partners operate. The privacy protections and rights of authorities to access your information in these countries may not be equivalent to those in the jurisdiction where you are located. We will only transfer your personal information to these countries where permitted to do so by law and we will take steps intended to ensure that your personal information continues to receive appropriate protections. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland (“European Territories”), the safeguards which we typically put in place to transfer data are the European Standard Contractual Clauses as permitted by data protection law and in particular Article 46(2) of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, the term “European Territories” shall continue to include the United Kingdom, even after the United Kingdom leaves the European Economic Area following Brexit.

We may also combine online and/or offline information received from third parties (including other members of our group of companies) with your information. We also work with application developers who specialize in social media, so that we can connect with your social networks. We provide access to our Website for third parties and business partners so that we can generate interest in our products and services among members of your social networks and to allow you to share product and service interests with friends in your network.

We do not control how your Personal Data is collected, stored or used by such third-party sites or to whom it is disclosed. You should review the privacy policies and settings on any social networking site that you subscribe to so that you understand the information they may be sharing. If you do not want your networking sites to share information about you, you must contact that site and determine whether it gives you the opportunity to opt-out of sharing such information. Motorsport Network is not responsible for how these third-party sites may use information collected from or about you.

3. Behavioural (customer-relevant) advertising

We believe that advertising is more interesting to you when it is relevant. Accordingly, we may customize the advertisements that you see based upon:

  • The information you voluntarily provide to us.
  • Geographic location information, which we may determine through your IP address, from your mobile device, or other ways.
  • Data we receive from third parties.
  • Your visits to our Website or your use of our products and services.

Advertisers or other third parties using our Website may also engage in behavioral advertising and use cookies and other technologies in the manner set out in our Cookie Policy. We do not control these advertisers or other parties' use of cookies or other technologies or what they do with the information they collect.

You can limit the way that we tailor advertising based on your information by objecting to the cookies that we or third parties wish to place on your browser or deleting the cookies that we or third parties have placed on your browser. After you have exercised your right to object or reject the use of cookies, you may still see advertisements, but the advertising may not be as relevant to your interests. If you change your computer, change your browser or delete certain cookies, you will need to renew your preferences. Please see our Cookie Policy for more details.

When you apply for a job, we collect and process your general contact information, CV, information about your education, competencies and skills, career and employment history and other information such as date of birth, gender, age, work and study certificates, references and other relevant information. For some positions, a background check is performed by an external service provider.

We use this information in order to determine your eligibility for the job you apply for and for selecting the right candidate for the position in question. With your consent, we may also retain your data for the purposes of identifying you as a potential candidate for future suitable vacancies and/or to inform you of future suitable vacancies. This may include information about the location of your equipment. If the equipment is linked to a user account that you have registered with us or to a mobile application that you have downloaded from us, we may also receive location data from your smartphone or other geo-aware device. We use this information to provide you with the services requested.

What Is the Legal Basis on Which We Process Your Data?

On some occasions, we process your Personal Data when we need to do this to fulfill a contract with you (for example, for customer service or billing purposes) or where we are required to do this by law (for example, to comply with record keeping obligations).

We also process your Personal Data to achieve our legitimate interests in providing the requested services, improving all aspects of our business and for being able to gain better insight in our customers' needs, but only to the extent that these interests are not overridden by your rights to data protection. Such interests are typically achieved by tailoring our services based on our customers' particular preferences and needs.

On some occasions, we process your data with your consent, for example when you send a job application or sign up for job alerts. We also process your data with your consent when you sign up to receive newsletters or marketing material from us. In such cases, you are free to withdraw your consent at any time by sending an email to the relevant Motorsport Network contact. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that has taken place on the basis of consent prior to the withdrawal.

How do we ensure security of your data

Motorsport Network has a dedicated security team. We maintain strict controls over the Personal Data and other information we collect, retaining it in firewalled and secured databases with strictly limited and controlled access rights, to ensure it is secure. Our dedicated partners who provide technology for some of the databases are required to maintain the highest standards as expected by Motorsport Network and we reserve the right to audit these partners and periodically ensure these are upheld.

Please remember that unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Please also be aware that we will not send you any emails requesting you to verify credit card, bank information, or any other personal data. If you ever receive an email that appears to be from us requesting such information from you, do not respond to it, and do not click on any links appearing in the email. Instead, please forward the email to us at privacy@motorsport.com, as we will investigate instances of possible internet fraud.

Motorsport Network is committed to the privacy, safety and security of our customers. If you discover potential security vulnerability, we would appreciate if you could report it just to us in a responsible manner. Please email us at datacontroller@motorsport.com and we will respond to you as soon as possible. This provides us with an opportunity to work with you and quickly address and resolve any issue. Publicly disclosing a potential vulnerability could put the wider community at risk, and therefore we encourage you to come to us first. We’ll keep you informed as we move forward with our investigations.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, you can contact us and request your child’s information to be deleted from our system. Before disclosing personal data of a child, we will request that the parent or guardian provide reasonable information for identification purposes. We advise that parents or guardians always supervise young people/children when online.

We are dedicated to the protection young people and children’s personal data and do not knowingly market to children.

Your rights as a data subject

Subject to limitations in applicable law, you have various rights related to the processing of your Personal Data. To make a request concerning your rights or if you have any other question, please contact us by sending an email to the address specified in the “Contact Us” section.

1. European Territories (EEA and Switzerland)

In accordance with European privacy laws, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a "data subject access request"). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.

Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected, though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.

Request erasure of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (see below), where we may have processed your information unlawfully or where we are required to erase your personal data to comply with local law. Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.

Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground as you feel it impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your rights and freedoms.

Request restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios:

  • If you want us to establish the data's accuracy.
  • Where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it.
  • Where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
  • You have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.

Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.

Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.

Make a complaint at any time to the competent supervisory authority for data protection issues. We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach a supervisory authority so please contact us in the first instance. Please click here for contact information for such authorities.

2. If you are a California resident – Please see our CCPA policy here

Exercising your rights

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us by email at privacy@motorsport.com. Please note it will be necessary to satisfactorily confirm your identity in order to do so.

1. No fee usually required

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we could refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

2. What we may need from you

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

3. Time limit to respond

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

Data retention

We will only retain your Personal Data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your Personal Data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.

Motorsport Network also maintains a Data Retention Policy that details the retention period for personal data based on our analysis of how long the specific data is reasonably required for legal or business purposes. When we no longer need personal data, we securely delete or destroy it. Aggregated data, which cannot identify a device/browser (or individual) and is used for purposes of reporting and analysis, is maintained for as long as commercially necessary.

Changes of privacy policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will place a prominent notice (generally in the footer of the Website) indicating that the Privacy Policy has been changed. For new users, the change will become effective upon posting. For existing users, if the change is significant, it will become effective 30 days after posting. We encourage you to regularly review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices. We will always show the date of the latest modification of the Privacy Policy at the top of the page so you can tell when it was last revised.

Contact us

If you have a privacy question, concern, or request, please contact us by email addressed to privacy@motorsport.com or by mail to Motorsport Network LLC, 5972 NE 4th Avenue, Miami, FL 33137, FAO: Data Protection.
